CONCRETE WALL WITH DECORATIVE SURFACE AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
A concrete wall has a back surface supported by a back panel while a decorative material is applied to an opposing front surface of the wall by hand or by pneumatic projection while the surface is still plastic, and without using bonding agents. The decorative material may be further exposed by a surface treatment before or after the front surface is floated and finished, with a sealant optionally applied thereafter. The front surface may be created by pneumatic methods or by pouring concrete into forms and removing the front panel to expose the front surface while it is still plastic but hydrated enough not to slump.
Torsion box panel assembly with compact conveyance configuration
A torsion box panel assembly includes a plurality of sub-panels each having a skin secured to a core, and a plurality of hinges each coupled between a different pair of the sub-panels such that each sub-panel is foldable relative to an adjacent sub-panel along a respective hinge. The hingedly-coupled sub-panels together form a base panel having an expanded configuration in which each hinge is closed and the surfaces of the sub-panel skins are substantially co-planar. The base panel, in its expanded configuration, has a planar panel surface defined, at least in part, by the combination of the co-planar sub-panel skins. At least one stabilizing member is secured to the planar panel surface and spans all of the closed hinges to lock the sub-panels together to form a torsion box panel.
METHOD FOR FINISHING A LARGE-SIZE SUPPLIED BUILDING PANEL
The disclosure relates to a method for finishing a panel, the method includes a) a relief embossed into the upper side in the form of at least one strip-shaped depression with a depth (T), b) a decorative paper applied to the upper side, c) an overlay paper applied to the decorative paper as an abrasion-resistant layer, d) the lower side provided with a backing layer, e) the structure pressed at a high pressure and temperature, and f) during the pressing, at least one strip-shaped depression is again embossed in a second embossing without changing the depth (T). Also, the upper side features a press skin that has a thickness of 0.3 to 0.5 mm, the bulk density of the panel in a top layer is between 950 and 1,000 kg/m.sup.3, and an aqueous melamine resin is applied to the upper side as a tempering agent before or after embossing.
Tile edge systems and methods
Disclosed herein are tiles, systems, and methods related to manufacturing bullnose or other non-straight edge tiles. In a method of manufacturing a bullnose tile, the method comprises the steps of providing a tile, wherein said tile is a fired ceramic tile comprising a base and a decoration; cutting or milling the tile to form a bullnose edge; transporting the tile to at least a first printing station; printing at least one print layer of print media on the bullnose edge; transporting the tile to a curing station and curing the print media to provide the bullnose tile.
MOULDED CLADDING PANEL
Some embodiments relate to a moulded cladding panel. The panel may comprise: a hollow plastic body formed by rotational moulding, the body having a length, a width and a depth, a first end, an opposite second end, an upper section, an opposite lower section, a first major face defined by a front wall extending from the first end to the second end and from the upper section to the lower section, and a second major face defined by a back wall opposite the first major face, the second major face extending from the first end to the second end and from the upper section to the lower section. The upper section defines a plurality of first mounting formations to facilitate mounting of the panel to a structure to be clad. The lower section defines a plurality of second mounting formations to facilitate mounting the panel to the structure.
Decorative Surface Covering Element, Surface Covering Element Covering, and Method of Producing Such a Decorative Surface Covering Element
The invention relates to a decorative surface covering element, in particular a floor panel, ceiling panel or wall panel. The invention also relates to a panel covering, such as a floor covering, ceiling covering or wall covering, comprising a plurality of panels according to the invention. The invention further relates to a method of producing a decorative surface covering element according to the invention.
METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING PANELS HAVING A DECORATIVE SURFACE
A method is provided for manufacturing a paper layer having a printed pattern for use in panels that at least include a substrate and a top layer. The top layer includes the paper layer. The method may involve providing the paper layer with an inkjet receiver coating by transporting the paper layer relative to a coater in a coating direction. The coated paper layer may be provided with at least a portion of the printed pattern using a digital inkjet printer that includes a housing containing print heads. Providing the printed pattern may involve using water based pigment containing inks. The printed pattern may include a wood motif having wood nerves extending generally in a nerve direction substantially corresponding to the coating direction. Providing the printed pattern may involve a relative motion between the digital inkjet printer and the paper layer during a printing operation in a printing direction substantially corresponding or substantially opposite to the coating direction. The paper layer may be maintained flat inside the housing, or the minimum radius over which the paper layer is bent inside the housing may be larger than 25 centimeters. The paper layer may be fed from a roll, printed upon, and rolled back up again.
WATERPROOF PANEL, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A PANEL, AND PANEL OBTAINABLE BY SAID PROCESS
The invention relates to a panel suitable for constructing a waterproof floor or wall covering, wherein the panel has a substantially planar top surface, a substantially planar bottom surface, and at least four substantially linear side edges. The invention also relates to a process for producing a panel according to the invention. The invention further relates to a panel obtainable by said process according to the invention.
Modular wall covering system
A modular wall overlay system for installation on a support surface includes a frame; and a cover securely retained on the frame by a tensioning system whereby the cover is free of direct attachment to the frame but rather is retained under tension on the frame by the tensioning system. The frame includes a plurality of frame pieces and a plurality of corner brackets. The frame pieces are directly coupled to respective corner brackets but are free of direct coupling to one another.
