Low-Dust Products Using A Wax Emulsion
The present invention relates generally to wall repair compounds such as joint compounds, spackling compounds, and the like used to repair imperfections in walls or fill joints between adjacent wallboard panels. Particularly, the present invention relates to such a wall repair compound that comprises a dust-reduction additive that reduces the quantity of airborne dust generated when the hardened compound is sanded. The dust-reduction additive also synergistically imparts water resistance and adhesion to the wall repair compounds to which it is added. More specifically, in one embodiment, the dust-reduction additive is an emulsion comprising colloidally-protected, wax-based microstructures comprising paraffin that is chemically encapsulated by polyvinyl alcohol.
LINING METHOD AND LINING
A lining method includes fixing a backing strip in a frame shape to a concrete surface of already-placed concrete so that the backing strip protrudes from the concrete surface; disposing a filler inside a frame of the backing strip; making edges of a plurality of lining plates butt against each other at a position of the backing strip to cover the backing strip and the concrete surface; and joining the edges of the lining plates by seal welding.
LOCKING ARRANGEMENT FOR FASTENING AN EDGE STRIP TO A PANEL
A locking arrangement, including a panel with a locking groove; an edge strip with a first form; as well as a locking element placed at least partly or entirely between the edge strip and the panel. The locking element includes a protrusion inserted in the locking groove of the panel and configured to prevent the panel from detaching from the edge strip, and a second form matching with and received by the first form of the edge strip, and configured to prevent the locking element from detaching from the edge strip. In the presented method for assembling the locking arrangement, in its first step, the locking element is placed against the panel so that the protrusion is inserted in the locking groove of the panel, after which they are installed in the edge strip.
Structural Siding Panel with Improved Thermal and Mechanical Properties
An advanced siding panel that combines a traditional siding appearance with improved insulation, structural integrity, and improved thermal characteristics.
Siding Including Integrated Light Source
The present disclosure relates generally to cladding, for example, suitable for use covering the exterior surface of a building. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a siding panel including a light source. The siding panel includes a panel body having a length extending from a first end to a second end, a width extending from a first edge to a second edge, a front face, and a rear face. A first lock extends along the first edge of the panel body and a second lock extending along the second edge of the panel body. A fastening strip is coupled to the first lock. A light source extending along the length of the panel body is secured to the panel body so as to provide light from the front face of the panel body.
CONNECTING ELEMENTS FOR ARRANGING TWO WALL ELEMENTS TOGETHER
A connector configured to couple plural wall elements like wall panels, the connector including a coupling including a first support that supports a locking hook that is pivotable from an idle position into an engagement position and movable into an interlocking position; a block including a locking bar that is arranged in a second support wherein the locking hook reaches behind the locking bar in the locking position; and a housing for the coupling or the block, the housing including a housing pass through opening wherein the locking hook passes through the housing pass through opening during a pivot movement from the idle position to the engagement position, wherein the housing includes a first housing half and a second housing half, wherein the housing pass through opening is closed by a cover wall against a pass through of the locking hook.
Panel and Method of Producing a Panel
The invention relates to a panel for constructing a floor or wall covering. The panel comprises a substantially planar top surface, at least one core layer composed of a composite material which core layer is provided with the cavities, and a bottom surface. The panel further comprises at least one pair of opposite edges, said pair of opposite edges preferably comprising complementary coupling parts configured for mutual coupling of adjacent panels.
EXTERIOR SIDING MATERIAL WITH INTEGRATED SOLAR PANEL
A siding material for a building configured to hold one or more solar panels is disclosed including a siding shell including a first section and/or a second section, wherein each first and/or second section includes an essentially flat face disposed at an angle ranging from about 30 degrees to about 90 degrees relative to the ground or a perpendicular plane extending from a side of the building. In addition, one or more surfaces of the first section and/or the second section are perforated, and the first section and/or the second section each include a channel configured to hold an electrical cable.
Façade system
A plank (10) for a fagade system comprises a facia (12), a joining lip (20), and a hook (30). The joining lip (20) is recessed behind and extends alongside the facia (12) to overlap with an adjacent plank. The hook 30 extends behind the facia to engage a wall-mounted retainer (38, FIG. 3D). The plank 10 comprises a rail 26 to conceal the hook (30). In one aspect, the rail 26 extends beyond the hook to abut the wall, to restrict a tilt of the plank. In one aspect, the joining lip 20 comprises alignment features (22) for positioning another retainer (40, FIG. 3D). In one aspect, the facia (12) comprises blind grooves (52, FIG. 8B) mimicking inter-plank interstitial grooves. The aspects individually and combined reduce the resources required for covering a large wall area with aligned cladding facias.
Set of mutually lockable panels
A set of mutually lockable panels comprises a first panel having an edge including a male part and a second panel having an edge including a female part for receiving the male part of the first panel in unlocked condition of the panels. The male part has an outer side which, in locked condition of the panels, is directed to the second panel in a direction substantially parallel to the front face of the first panel, and an opposite inner side which is provided with a locking surface. The female part comprises a locking member, which is pivotable about a pivot axis that extends substantially parallel to the edge of the second panel and an actuator for rotating the locking member from its unlocked condition to a locked condition of the panels.
