Devices and methods to seal gaps between adjacent structural panels

Devices and methods are provided whereby a preformed elastomeric tubular seal profile may be installed into a gap defined between an adjacent pair of structural panels. The device may include a frame and opposed first and second compression rollers attached to the frame for rotational movement about respective rotational axes. The opposed first and second compression rollers define a nip space therebetween for the introduction of a preformed elastomeric tubular seal profile, whereby moving the tubular seal profile through the nip space causes the tubular seal profile to compress and thereby form a downstream compressed profile portion and an upstream uncompressed profile portion. The compressed profile portion may thus be inserted into a gap between adjacent structural panels and thereafter allowed to expand (e.g., by removal of a plug element from a distal end thereof) to thereby seal the gap.

Joist Shielding Assembly

A joist shielding assembly for preventing water from damaging joists includes a pair of deflectors that is configured to position singly over upper edges of adjacently positioned joists, such as in a deck. Each deflector is configured to direct water laterally from a respective adjacently positioned joist so that the water is prevented from contacting the respective adjacently positioned joist. Indicia are coupled to the pair of deflectors. Respective indicia are configured to guide placement of a deck plank so that the deck plank is positioned to couple perpendicularly to the adjacently positioned joists.

Ceramic and stone tiles are shown, which are provided with a locking system including a separate strip part connected to vertical and horizontal grooves formed in the tile edge. A set of ceramic or stone tiles including a first tile provided with a first edge and a second tile provided with a second edge wherein the tiles are provided with a locking system for locking the first edge to the second edge in a horizontal direction parallel with a tile surface and in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction, said locking system includes a first and a second tongue and a strip part provided with a first and a second locking element.

MESH SEAM CONNECTION ELEMENT
20180320390 · 2018-11-08 ·

A mesh tape bonded to the outer edge or outward side of sheet panel products. The mesh tape is applied so that the tape overhangs the edge of the panel for the purpose of adjoining to the adjacent panel following installation of the panels at a job site. The mesh may be applied to two edges of the sheet panel, one along the panel width and another along the panel length. When installed, the panel edge with the mesh tape applied is overlapped with the edge of an adjacent panel that does not have tape applied, both along the length and width, thus allowing for a faster, more robust and reliable installation of panel sheathing.

An expansion joint profile system for producing an expansion joint in the manufacture of a rigid floor covering includes a profile (1) comprising a first profile element (3) having a first support leg (5) provided for bearing on a substrate (18) and a first abutment leg (6) projecting upwardly therefrom. A second profile element (4) has a second abutment leg (6). A connection element (9) is formed in a ridge-like manner and extends in the longitudinal direction between the two profile elements (3, 4) and connects them to one another in the lower region. An insertion opening (10) is formed between the abutment legs and is open at the top and extends in the longitudinal direction (L). A sealing element (11) is formed in a T-shaped cross-section with a downwardly projecting insertion leg (12) for insertion into the insertion opening (10).

Water resistant wood flooring
12091866 · 2024-09-17 · ·

Wood flooring is described, which provides resistance to surface liquids by reducing or eliminating checking on the surface of the wood and transmission liquid through the seams in an installed wood floor. This is achieved by combining a surface coating, a wood veneer and core or solid wood, a tongue and groove profile, and application of a sealer along the tongue and groove or locking profile.
