Structural element for forming a ground covering
A structural element for forming a ground covering, in particular in an outdoor area, including a rectangular tile. A molded-on portion which is made of a plastic material and runs around the edge of the tile like a frame is preferably injection-molded and/or foamed onto the tile.
DECK BOARD APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A method of making a pultruded deck board attachment fastened to a substructure to provide a stiffer and stronger deck board than a wood, wood composite, or plastic deck board, wherein the pultruded deck board attachment, along with any fasteners, is covered and protected with a walking surface that is, in examples, snapped in to place.
Adjustable footing for a post
According to an embodiment of the invention, there is provided an adjustable footing for a post, the adjustable footing comprising: a base, the base comprising a base plate, a fixed base nut secured to the base plate and a threaded rod secured to the base nut and extending perpendicular to the base; and a top, the top comprising a post plate having a hole and a fixed post nut secured to the post plate over the hole and dimensioned to engage the threaded rod. The post plate is secured to the post such that the threaded rod passes through the post nut and hole into a cavity in the post, and the overall height of the footing is adjustable by rotation of the base via the base nut.
Free-Standing Deck Framing Of Modular Design, Including Overhead Structures
A modular, free-standing deck framing system is disclosed that eliminates the need for a ledger board attachment to a building (house), yet retains the stability required for home construction standards. If desired, the sheet metal framing system may be attached to an existing building using metal ledger beams in combination with conventional metal brackets and fasteners. Various embodiments of the inventive framing system further include the capability to supplement the deck with a sheet metal pergola structure, including the capability of orienting the pergola slats (also referred to in some instances as “louvers”) for optimum shading capabilities.
RELEASABLE CONNECTION MEANS
Means for releasably connecting two constructional panels to one another comprising first and second parts, wherein: the first part has a bolt; and the second part has an enclosure with an opening into which the bolt of the first part can be moved, a cam rotatable about a pivot within an enclosure between an open position and a locked position, the cam having a slot formed within it adapted to receive a portion of a corresponding bolt of the first part, the slot having a bolt engagement surface with a portion sloped at an angle to the said second dimension, the slot having a locking surface substantially opposite the bolt engagement surface.
Engineered waterproof plastic composite flooring and wall covering planks
Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.
Modular floating tile, coping and skirting systems for decks and stairs
Coping and skirting systems for structural bases are described herein. The coping and skirting systems include at least one coping tile and a support structure configured to be mounted on a front surface of the structural base and to support the at least one coping tile on the structural base. The support structure is also configured to be mounted on the structural base at a selectable position that provides for a top surface of the coping tile to be level with a top surface of a field tile on the structural base.
HIDDEN CLIP AND FASTENING SYSTEM FOR DECKING
One or more hidden clips can be efficiently fastened and mounted to decking planks, e.g., with a tool or manually. A plurality of hidden clips can be included with a strip of clips and separated by a frangible section or tab located between adjacent clips. Each hidden clip can include a leading edge and a trailing edge opposite the leading edge. The leading edge can be beveled or tapered across an entirety thereof. At least one connecting tab spans between a respective leading edge and trailing edge of adjacent decking clips in the clip strip. Each of the decking clips can include an aperture configured to receive a fastener. A fastener can be disposed in the aperture in each clip such that each fastener extends partially above a top surface of the decking clip.
Deck ledger board spacing system with keyed center bushing, coupling spacers, reinforcing coupler, and reinforced shim
A deck ledger board spacer system that includes a solid disc body having a front side and a rear side, a center hole, and a plurality of circumferential through holes surrounding the center hole. The center hole includes at least one radially-extending void that serves as a female element for a complementary keyed bushing. Each of the front and rear sides have a plurality of wells recessed from the disc body surface, the wells configured to receive a volume of flowable adhesive sealant material during spacer installation. One or more swappable keyed bushings are sized for insertion in the center hole, each of the keyed bushings having a male element complementary to the radially-extending void and having a bushing through hole with a diameter different from other keyed bushings in a plurality of keyed bushings.
Engineered Waterproof Plastic Composite Flooring and Wall Covering Planks
Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.
