COVERING, FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT FOR A COVERING, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COVERING
In order to control the temperature of a covering, the process of laying a heating line under the individual covering elements is known. However, this leads to various disadvantages. A functional body for a covering is provided which can be temperature-controlled, has an increased stability and is inexpensive to produce. This is achieved in that a bottom side of the functional body can be deposited on a substrate and a top side thereof can be joined together with the covering. The covering may for example be a floor covering, but may also be a wall covering or a cover element, in particular a tile, a glazed tile, a panel or the like for applications for indoor and outdoor regions. A temperature-control means is arranged on or in the top side of the functional body.
System for determining user interactions with items on a fixture
A floor device generates output data indicative of the presence of objects, such as feet of users, on the floor device. The output data from the floor device is processed to determine an object representation at a given time. The object representation may then be associated with a user identifier based on characteristics or features of the object representation. If a location of a user associated with the user identifier is determined to be near a fixture that stores one or more items, changes in quantity of items at the fixture may be associated with the user. For example, sensors on the fixture may generate fixture data indicative of a pick or place of items on the fixture. Based on the location of the user being near the fixture and the fixture data, interaction data may be generated indicating the user interacting with the items at the fixture.
Interactive Floor and Amusement Systems and Methods Employing Same
An amusement system features an interactive floor with an array of panels laid out in one or more grids to collectively define an interactive floor surface, an illumination system operable to individually illuminate each panel, and a sensing system operable to detect presence of any participant atop any panel. A base frame of the interactive floor is composed of a plurality of base modules seated on a subfloor, and supporting a respective panel for one or more cells of the interactive floor. The base modules are not directly fastened together, and instead are only intercoupled by perimeter seals applied over peripheral regions of the panels of neighbouring modules. Separation of the modules is constrained by surrounding walls of a room fully occupied by the interactive floor. In gameplay, some panels are distinctively illuminated as hazards to be avoided by participants, subject to penalty.
ELEVATED FLOOR WITH INTEGRATED ANTENNAS
A floor tile for an elevated floor in a building includes a non-through aperture defining a pocket within the floor tile having a base and one or more walls, an antenna disposed within the non-through aperture and configured to be communicably coupled to an access point, the antenna configured to transmit wireless signals, one or more reflective surfaces positioned on an inner surface of the non-through aperture and configured to reflect the wireless signals, and a shielding layer disposed on top of the antenna and configured to cover the non-through aperture to protect the antenna from an external environment.
Roof paver and railing assembly
A paver having a length and a width. The length of the paver is about 4 feet, and the width of the paver is about 2 feet. The paver weighs about 400 pounds, and has a railing post mounted adjacent a width edge. The paver may be a part of a system of railing and non-railing pavers.
SHOWER PAN INCLUDING MOLDED RIB STRUCTURE HAVING VARYING THICKNESS
A molded shower pan includes a base having a drain opening. A plurality of strengthening ribs extend downwardly from the base wherein the spacing between adjacent ribs is a function of rib height.
FLOOR GROMMET
Disclosed are embodiments of a round floor grommet and a rectangular floor grommet. These floor grommets can be constructed in any desired shape other than round or rectangular. Frame portions that hold foam pieces are joined together to form a primary slit in the floor grommet. Cross slits can also be formed in the foam material. The foam is a semi-closed cell foam that is constructed from PVC and nitrile butadiene rubber which has superior sealing effects since the foam can conform around objects passing through the slits in the floor grommet and seal any flow of air through the slits.
Modular attic walkway system
A modular attic walkway system for creating a walkway across attic joists which includes a plurality of attic joists each has a top face. A plurality of platforms is removably attached to the top faces such that each platform traverses between adjacent attic joists. Each of the platforms is releasably interlocked with an adjacent one of the platforms. Each platform includes a panel. The panel has a top surface, a bottom surface, and a perimeter surface which extends between the top and bottom surfaces. The perimeter surface includes a first mating edge, a second mating edge, a first lateral edge, and a second lateral edge. The first mating edge includes a tongue cutout which extends inwardly from the first mating edge toward the second mating edge. A tongue extension extends outwardly away from the second mating edge and releasably interlocks with a tongue cutout of an adjacently positioned panel.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS THEREOF FOR DESTROYING PATHOGENS ASSOCIATED WITH FOOTWEAR
An apparatus for destroying pathogens includes a platform and an LED matrix panel. The platform has a portion configured to permit passage of ultraviolet light therethrough. The LED matrix panel is disposed below the portion of the platform and includes a grid and a plurality of discreetly-controlled, ultraviolet light LEDs (UV LEDs). The grid defines a plurality of cells. Each UV LED is associated with one cell such that the cells direct the ultraviolet light emitted by the UV LEDs upwardly through the portion of the platform to sanitize an object supported on the portion of the platform.
FILM APPLICATION METHOD AND CONSTRUCTION PANEL
A method of applying a protective film to a construction panel comprising: (a) selectively applying an adhesive composition to a peripheral region of a surface of the construction panel; and/or selectively applying an adhesive composition to a peripheral region of a surface of the protective film; and (b) applying a protective film to the surface of the construction panel to bond the protective film to the construction panel. A construction panel comprising a protective film layer on a surface of the panel and a peripheral adhesive composition layer located between said surface of the panel and the protective film layer, wherein the peripheral adhesive composition layer extends from an edge of the panel and across from about 0.1% to about 25% of the width of the surface.
