The individual layers of the acoustical portion can include any of a variety of combinations of rubber, cork, polyurethane foam, and the like. The resulting tile meets one or more of ASTM E 2179, ASTM E 989, ASTM E 492, and ASTM E1007 IIC sound requirements. A method of designing the disclosed tile to suit a particular flooring application is also disclosed. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

SOUND ATTENUATING LAMINATE MATERIALS
20200071928 · 2020-03-05 ·

Sound absorbing or attenuating laminate flooring materials are provided, which are directed to be used in the production of floor covering, floor panels, furniture panels, cabinets, counter-tops and wall panels. As well, the methods for producing such products are provided. In particular, abrasion resistant panels, with a laminated structure, created by forming an assembly which consists of laminating a heat-activated resin impregnated paper wear layer, a decorative layer with printed graphics or a wood veneer decorative layer, a medium density (MDF) or high-density (HDF) natural fiber-based core and a resin impregnated paper balancing layer. To achieve sound absorbing and/or attenuating properties, any or all paper layers may be pre coated with an additional flexible elastomeric coating, film or material prior to assembly of the panel, or the natural fiber core panel may be coated with a flexible elastomeric coating, film or material prior to assembly with the papers. The flexible elastomeric coating, film or material acts to absorb, reduce, and/or ameliorate the sound transmissions inherent in laminated panels.

ACOUSTIC PANELLING FOR PRODUCING A FLOOR COVERING

The invention relates to a multi-layer panel for producing a floor covering exhibiting sound-insulating properties, of which at least one of the layers is made from PVC, the said panel comprising male-female means for connecting or assembling several panels together, the said panel comprising at least one decorative layer bonded to a backing layer, the latter being bonded to a nonwoven textile sublayer intended to be in contact with the ground with a thickness of between 0.5 mm and 3 mm.

Structural subfloor product and method of manufacturing same

A flooring product is disclosed herein. The flooring product comprises a pair of oriented strand boards and an acoustic barrier layer. Each oriented strand board includes a first surface, a second surface, a first profiled edge, a stepped section, a second profiled edge, and a recessed section. The acoustic barrier layer is positioned between and at least partially secured to the oriented strand boards. Upon the securing of the acoustic barrier layer to the oriented strand boards, the stepped sections are arranged to form a tongue, where the acoustic barrier layer extends from the tongue to form a first rounded bulge. The recessed sections are arranged to form a groove, where the acoustic barrier layer extends into the groove to form a second rounded bulge. When two flooring products are assembled, the first rounded bulge of one flooring product contacts the second rounded bulge of the other flooring product.

FLOORING MAT WITH ENTANGLED FILAMENT STRUCTURE

A flooring mat that includes a first layer that includes a vapor barrier, a second layer that includes a textile pad, and a third layer having an entangled filament structure. The second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer. The flooring mat may be provided between a subfloor and a surface layer of a flooring structure.

A method of preparing sound dampened flooring comprises providing a flooring substrate, applying a coating of a liquid acrylic sound damping composition to a surface of the flooring substrate, drying the coating, and optionally, forming one or more additional layers on the coating. A sound dampened flooring is also disclosed.

Elastic plastic floor which is with the functions of moisture proof and sound insulation, and its production method

The present invention provides an elastic plastic layer that is moisture proof and sound insulation and its production method. The elastic plastic layer that is moisture proof and sound insulation comprises a wear resistant layer, a decoration layer, a first backing material layer and a moisture proof and sound insulation layer. The adjacent layers are connected in turn by the order. The present invention provides the floor that is not only with the function of sound insulation, sound absorption, moisture proof, heat preservation, slightly flipping feet, resistance to press, acid and alkali resistance, but also with the positive effect that is low cost, easy molding, good in mechanical properties, and it is also good in laying effect, inflaming retarding, anti-skidding, easily laying, except that, since the wear resistant layer of the floor is coated with the ultraviolet-curable coating, so that it further improves the scratch-resistant property of the floor.
