ABSORBENT ARTICLES INCLUDING PERFUME AND CYCLODEXTRINS

An absorbent article comprising a perfume which is suitable for improved release from a cyclodextrin complex, wherein the perfume includes 10% or more, by weight of the perfume, of one or more perfume raw materials having: a cyclodextrin complex stability constant (log k) of less than about 3.0, a C log P of about 2.5 or less, and a weight average molecular weight of about 200 Daltons or less.

Anti-Adhesive Barrier Membrane Using Alginate and Hyaluronic Acid for Biomedical Applications
20230355846 · 2023-11-09 ·

A non-synthetic, hydrophilic, biodegradable, biocompatible polysaccharide based non-toxic anti-adhesion hydrogel barrier is disclosed herein. The barrier of the present invention is formed by constructing a unique interpenetrating, crosslinked network with a unique porosity. Furthermore, the barrier of the present invention is comprised of tunable biopolymers for controllable mechanical robustness and degradation. The barrier of the present invention effectively reduces unwanted adhesions using non-synthetic components.

THERAPEUTIC BANDAGE
20230355942 · 2023-11-09 ·

A therapeutic bandage includes a bandage matrix and an array of microneedles extending from the bandage matrix. Each of the microneedles includes a first layer that encapsulates a first immunomodulatory compound and a second layer that encapsulates a second immunomodulatory compound. The array of microneedles is configured to guide foreign agents affected by the first immunomodulatory compound, the second immunomodulatory compound, or the first and second immunomodulatory compounds from one or more skin layers of a user to the bandage matrix such that the bandage matrix absorbs and captures the foreign agents.

Controlled release iodine structure for use with wound care

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for generating and releasing iodine are described. Some embodiments may include a dressing member including a plurality of iodine-forming reagents and a water-swellable material. In some embodiments, the dressing member may include water-swellable fibers. The water-swellable fibers may each include a water-swellable material in which iodine-forming reagents are dispersed. As liquid comes into contact with and is absorbed by the water-swellable material, the iodine-forming reagents may come into contact with each other, causing an iodine-forming reaction to occur, producing iodine.

DELIVERY OF HYDROPHOBIC ACTIVE AGENT PARTICLES

Embodiments of the invention include drug delivery coatings and devices including the same. In an embodiment, the invention includes a drug delivery coating including a polymeric layer. The polymeric layer can include a hydrophilic outer surface. The coating can also include a matrix contacting the hydrophilic outer surface. The matrix can include a particulate hydrophobic therapeutic agent and a cationic agent. The polymeric layer can further include a hydrophilic polymer having pendent photoreactive groups and a photo-crosslinker including two aryl ketone functionalities. Other embodiments are also included herein.

METHOD OF IMAGING
20230218759 · 2023-07-13 ·

The present disclosure relates to a method of imaging, involving administration of a bi-phasic formulation followed by application of high frequency sound waves to identify a region of interest. Following identification, a phase shift of the bi-phasic formulation may be activated by a second administration of high frequency sound waves such that gaseous components of the bi-phasic formulation are enlarged and localised at the region of interest.

COMPLEMENT ACTIVE FRAGMENT-LOADED THREE-DIMENSIONAL BIOMATERIAL FOR DENTAL AND/OR OTHER TISSUE REGENERATION

A three-dimensional biomaterial including particles encapsulating at least one complement active fragment dispersed therein. Also, a process of manufacturing of the three-dimensional biomaterial with at least one biocompatible and/or resorbable polymer and the particles. The three-dimensional biomaterial is useful for tissue regeneration, especially with regards to dental pulp, dentin, periodontal and gingival tissues, as well as bones tissues.

Absorbent articles including perfume and cyclodextrins

An absorbent article comprising a perfume which is suitable for improved release from a cyclodextrin complex, wherein the perfume includes 10% or more, by weight of the perfume, of one or more perfume raw materials having: a cyclodextrin complex stability constant (log k) of less than about 3.0, a ClogP of about 2.5 or less, and a weight average molecular weight of about 200 Daltons or less.
