Dispensing apparatus
There is described a dispensing apparatus for dispensing a food product from a container. The dispensing apparatus comprises a support for supporting a container of product when the container is loaded into the apparatus, an actuator for effecting movement of the support in a first direction during a product dispensing stroke of the apparatus and in a second direction during a return stroke of the apparatus; and a retainer for retaining a spent container of product so that a spent container is removed from the support during the return stroke.

System and Method for Making an Ice Sculpture
A system for making a three dimensional ice sculpture has a movable print head and fan mounted in a refrigerated enclosure. The print head has an inlet connected to a source of chilled water and can spray dyed or undyed water at a platform. A controller can move the print head and regulate its water outflow. A fluid can be discharged into the sprayed water at a temperature that accommodates ice formation. The sprayed water forms successive layers that freeze.

A method of making a frozen dessert bar includes forming a plurality of spaced cavities in a main body of ice cream or frozen yogurt, with the plurality of spaced cavities being filled with distinct edible materials thereby coating the one or more exterior surface portions of the main body at the plurality of spaced cavities. The cavities can be formed in various ways, such as molding the main body with the cavities or stamping the cavities into a pre-formed main body. As the coating materials employed can significantly vary, a wide range of frozen dessert bars, with quite unique and interesting eating experiences, can be produced for consumers.
