BLOOD COMPONENT COLLECTION CASSETTE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME
A blood component collection cassette that can trap a substance where blood components coagulate by using a simple and economical configuration, and a manufacturing method of the blood component collection cassette are provided.
A blood component collection cassette (28) includes a cassette main body (40) where a flow path (42) is formed and is configured to be mountable to a centrifugal separation device (14). The cassette main body (40) has a first sheet (40a) and a second sheet (40b) which are formed of a soft material. The flow path (42) is formed between the first sheet (40a) and the second sheet (40b). A filter member (60) for trapping a substance where blood components coagulate is arranged on the flow path (42) in the cassette main body (40).
Fluid processing based on inflatable bags, mixing system, and method of use thereof
A device and a method for mixing a fluid in a specimen bag is provided herein. In one embodiment, the device includes a mechanism for creating a first vortex and a second vortex. The first vortex is on a first side of a bag containing the fluid, and the second vortex is on a second side of the bag. The mechanism includes a first inflatable airbag and a second inflatable airbag. The first inflatable airbag is configured to create the first vortex when inflated and the second inflatable airbag is deflated. The second inflatable airbag is configured to create the second vortex when inflated and the first inflatable airbag is deflated.
Thawing biological substances
Dry thawing systems and devices for thawing biological substances are provided herein. Methods for thawing biological substances are also provided.
GAS TREATMENT DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure provides apparatuses and systems for delivering a measureable absorbed-dose of a gaseous activating agent to a fluid including a biological liquid and/or cells. The apparatuses or systems include a gas-fluid contact device configured to controllably rotate or oscillate a control member having an interior surface in contact with the fluid and a control system configured to control rotation or oscillation of the contact member by the gas-fluid contact device. In some embodiments, the control system is further configured to control absorption of the gaseous activating agent by the fluid. The present disclosure also provides methods of treating a fluid including a biological liquid or cells with a gaseous activating agent to controllably activate the fluid.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR BIO-PROCESSING CELLULAR SAMPLES
The present disclosure relates to completely closed systems suitable for bio-processing of cellular samples, for example peripheral blood samples used for immunotherapy applications, and related methods of use. The systems are not open to the air, thus allowing for sterile sample processing and transfer of the sample throughout the entirety of bio-processing. Each component of the disclosed systems contains a unique identifier, allowing for traceability of the sample as it proceeds through the various steps involved in bio-processing. The identifier ultimately traces the sample back to the patient from which the sample was derived. Certain embodiments provide a unique freezing bag for long-term storage of cellular samples. The freezing bag has a unique identifier that allows for easy traceability and retrieval of a bio-archived sample and at least two ports, one for sample testing, another for sterile docking to a device that allows for delivery of its contents to a patient.
BLOOD TREATMENT FILTER AND BLOOD BAG SYSTEM
A blood treatment filter includes a housing having a first resin sheet and a second resin sheet, a filter member disposed in the housing, a peripheral edge molded body formed on a peripheral edge portion of the filter member and having an inner peripheral portion joined to an outer peripheral end edge of a filtering material, and a connection sheet extending outward from the peripheral edge molded body and connected to the housing.
