RESTING PUMP
An apparatus for allowing a user to use a breast pump while resting. The apparatus includes a resting pump mount having a divot sufficiently sized to fit a user's breast. The body substantially holds shape and is at least partially compressible. The apparatus may include comfort features, attached breast pumps, or receptacles to allow for attachment of a breast pump.
LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR FOR LIQUID RECEPTACLE
Disclosed herein are various techniques and devices for detecting a level of fluid within a fluid collection receptacle. In one embodiment, a pressure sensor connected to a bottle is provided. The pressure sensor detects air pressure in the bottle as the bottle is filled with a liquid and provides information to determine a volume of the liquid in the bottle.
Breast pump device
A breast pump device (1) comprises an expression kit (2), a vacuum unit (3), and a conduit (5) for establishing an air path between an air outlet (27) of the expression kit (2) and an air inlet (35) of the vacuum unit (3). The expression kit (2) is equipped with a barrier portion (26) for preventing milk leakage from the expression kit (2) towards the hose (5) and the vacuum unit (3). In case some droplets of milk enter the barrier portion (26) and/or drawn through the barrier portion (26) by an ongoing pumping action, aspects of the behavior of the motor (32) for driving the pump (31) are influenced, and the insight that this happens is used for terminating operation of the motor (32) as soon as a too large deviation of one or more operational characteristics of the motor (32) with respect to a reference is found.
NURSING DEVICE AND STATION
A modular breast pumping station includes modular components that include: a multiuser breast pump configured to attach to disposable and recyclable tubing and breast shields; a storage area for the tubing and breast shields, and also containing storage bags for milk obtained from a user's breast; and a refrigerator for storage of the storage bags.
Baby bottle with milk pump
The present invention relates to an apparatus (2) comprising a connector (4), a baby bottle (6) which can be coupled thereto having a bottle body (8) and a bottle base (10), and a sensor unit (34) arranged in the bottle base (10) for determining the filling quantity of milk in the baby bottle (6). An object of the present invention is to improve handling and maintenance of the apparatus, as well as determining the content quantity. It is characterized in that the bottle base (10) is releasably attachable to the bottle body (8).
Self returning contamination barrier
A barrier of a vacuum pump prevents contamination from entering a vacuum pump air line. The barrier separates parts of the pump and is moveable between an initial state and a distended state. The barrier is assembled within the pump with a pre-load. When the vacuum source is applied to the barrier, the barrier achieves a distended state and when the vacuum source is released, the barrier incrementally self returns to an initial state. The geometry and material construction of the barrier, along with the pre-load, assists in returning the barrier on its own to the initial state from the distended state.
HYDRAULIC PUMPING SYSTEM FOR EXPRESSION OF BRAST MILK
A hydraulic pumping system in accordance with embodiments comprises a breast interface operably coupled to an actuatable assembly by means of an actuatable assembly interface. The breast interface comprises a distal membrane coupled to a housing to form a fluid reservoir therebetween. The actuatable assembly interface comprises a proximal membrane. The distal and proximal membranes are fluidly coupled via a tube carrying a driving fluid. The actuatable assembly interface is configured to removably couple to the actuatable assembly, in order to operably couple the actuatable assembly to the breast interface. The actuatable assembly interface comprises a fluid shut off mechanism to reversibly shut off fluid communication between the breast interface and the actuatable assembly interface when the actuatable assembly interface is decoupled from the actuatable assembly.
EXPRESSION OF BREAST MILK VIA AUTOMATED METHODS FOR MANAGING PUMPED BREAST MILK, LACTATION ANALYTICS & PATIENT ENGAGEMENT
An apparatus for use in a milk management system comprising a first device, wherein the first device includes a non-transitory storage medium; and a processor communicatively coupled to the non-transitory storage medium. The processor is configured to: receive first data from a second device, the first data describing milk disposed in a first container, the first container having a first identifier associated therewith; and associate the first data with a first feeding order in a data structure store in a database, the first feeding order describing a first nutrition regimen.
Light-based accessory apparatuses for breast pumps
An improved accessory light for breast pumps apparatus is described. This improved accessory light for breast pumps apparatus may be secured or affixed to various models of breast pumps to allow the user to have a hands-free, illuminated view of the milk being expressed from the breast. The accessory light may consist of a clamp-based accessory secured to a breast shield neck or an accessory that is secured to the breast shield back using a flexible material.
Pump device, comprising a pump and a housing accommodating the pump
A pump device as may be used in a breast pump assembly including a pump configured to put fluid in motion, a housing accommodating the pump, at least one fluid transporting conduit connected to the pump, the at least one conduit extending between the pump and the housing, thereby connecting the pump to a position at the housing where the housing is provided with at least one opening for allowing fluid to pass, and a mounting arrangement for mounting the pump in the housing. The at least one conduit is part of the mounting arrangement and has flexible properties to reduce an extent to which vibrations of the pump are transferred to the housing through the mounting arrangement during operation of the device.
