PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR POOLS, WELLS OR RESERVOIRS
The invention relates to a protective device for pools, wells or reservoirs characterized in that it comprises a plastic mesh able to float on the water, configured to cover at least the aquatic surface of the pool, well or reservoir, said mesh being joined to a flexible frame along at least one part of the perimeter thereof by joining means, said frame heavy enough so that when the mesh is in an extended condition over the aquatic surface of the pool, well or reservoir, the frame maintains said mesh extended. This protective device, once extended over the aquatic surface of the pool, well or reservoir, floats on said aquatic surface so that insects can rest on the same without drowning, and in turn said device is not moved by external climatic elements which would prevent proper protection of the aquatic surface by partially or entirely uncovering the same.
POOL COVER SKIMMER ATTACHMENT
Methods, systems, and apparatus for automatically skimming swimming pools with a pool cover attachment. In one aspect, an apparatus includes a skimming element holder; a skimming element connected to the skimming element holder; a base member connected between the swimming pool cover and the skimming element, where pivot of the base member pivots the skimming element holder and the skimming element; and a skimming guide connected to the base member, where the swimming pool cover defines a swimming pool plane; the base member automatically actuates the skimming element through the swimming pool plane, and immediately before ending the traversal along the swimming pool plane, the base member again automatically actuates through the swimming pool plane opposite to the previous direction of automatic pivot of the base member.
AUTOMATIC SPA AND POOL COVER REMOVAL DEVICE
An automatic spa or pool cover for covering a spa is described having a retractable frame, which rides along a top surface of the spa, attached to a front edge of an insulated cover. A motorized cover roller attached to a back edge of the insulated cover and functions to roll up and retract the insulated cover and pull the frame to slide along the top lip of the spa side walls to retract the frame. In one embodiment, the frame is spring-loaded and extends from its retracted position to its extended position by the force of the springs. In an alternative embodiment, conventional actuation devices may be used to extend the frame. It also includes a retractable angled top cover covering the retractable frame which is supported by a guide proximate the motorized cover roller.
POOL COVER RETENTION DEVICE
A pool cover retaining system for above-ground and/or semi-above ground pools including a self-contracting retaining band. The self-contracting retaining band is configured to be fitted around a pool wall. The system includes a first rod having a first rod length. The first rod is configured for use with a pool cover to be fitted over a pool. The pool has a pool perimeter length. The first rod length is less than the pool perimeter length.
Pool cover assembly and systems
A pool cover assembly includes a first encapsulation member defining a first side of a pool cover encapsulation, the first encapsulation member comprising a first mating feature. The pool cover assembly further includes a second encapsulation member defining a second side of the pool cover encapsulation, the second encapsulation member comprising a second mating feature. And the pool cover assembly further includes a corner endcap member comprising a third mating feature and a fourth mating feature. The first encapsulation member is coupleable to the corner endcap by the first mating feature and the third mating feature, and the second encapsulation member is coupleable to the corner endcap by the second mating feature and the fourth mating feature. The corner endcap member couples with the first encapsulation member and the second encapsulation member to form a corner of the pool cover encapsulation.
Automatic spa and pool cover removal device
An automatic spa cover for covering a spa is described having a retractable frame, which rides along a top surface of the spa, attached to a front edge of an insulated cover. A motorized cover roller is attached to a back edge of the insulated cover and functions to roll up and retract the insulated cover and pull the frame to slide along the top lip of the spa side walls to retract the frame. In one embodiment, the frame is spring-loaded and extends from its retracted position to its extended position by the force of the springs. In an alternative embodiment, conventional actuation devices may be used to extend the frame. It also includes a retractable angled top cover covering the retractable frame which is supported by a curved guide proximate the motorized cover roller.
Roll-up spa and swim spa cover
A spa cover constructed of layers of pliable insulation encapsulated within a weatherproof vinyl reinforced fabric or a rubber membrane which is attached to rigid square support tubes that run parallel to the short end of the spa. The encapsulated insulation is fastened to the bottom of the square support tubes with corrosion-free nylon anchors which allows the soft insulation assembly to span over the water and rest directly on the spa bartop surface sealing the heat in and keeping debris out. An arched fiberglass rod structure supports a weatherproof rainfly which is permanently affixed to the flat cover assembly to shed rain and debris. The entire assembly is held in place at each end with adjustable straps which stretch the cover from end to end keeping the rainfly taut. Removing the cover to access the spa involves undoing the straps on one end and rolling the cover assembly towards the other end until the desired amount of spa exposure is reached. Covering the spa after use is just the opposite procedure.
Pool cover support system
The present invention provides a pool cover support system for installing a pool cover without touching the water in the pool. In one embodiment of the present invention, the system includes a flotation device including a frame extending upwardly from a base of the flotation device. The perimeter of the frame can be attached with a plurality of attachment cords to the outside ledge of the pool. Clips at one end of the attachment cords can be used for expeditiously attaching the frame to the ledge of the pool. The attachment cords and the frame can be used to support a light weight pool cover.
Spa cover
A spa cover comprising: a) a bladder section having a length and a width approximating that of a water spa; b) a plurality of elongated and generally parallel structures affixed to and substantially spanning the width of the bladder section; c) a plurality of flexible rods affixed to the bladder section and under sufficient tension to compress and create an arc over the width of the bladder section; and d) a cover supported by the flexible rods; wherein the rods and the elongated structures are spaced sufficiently to allow the bladder section and the cover to be rolled lengthwise.
