RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY SHELTER
A rainwater harvesting apparatus and system for an emergency shelter includes a platform defining an aperture. A threaded fastener is inserted through the aperture and is rotatable through the aperture. A planar panel assembly is fastened to the platform by the threaded fastener. The planar panel assembly is configured to move on the threaded fastener along a longitudinal axis of the threaded fastener as the threaded fastener is rotated through the aperture in the platform. A canopy is secured to the planar panel assembly, such that a segment of the canopy moves together with the planar panel assembly along the longitudinal axis of the threaded fastener as the planar panel assembly moves on the threaded fastener.
Post sleeve positioning systems and related methods
A system for positioning post sleeves is provided including a plurality of post sleeve positioning devices and a spacing mechanism. Each post sleeve positioning device is configured to receive a respective post sleeve and to enable selective adjustment of a position and orientation of the respective post sleeve. The spacing mechanism is coupleable between the pair of post sleeve positioning devices to determine or control the position and orientation of the post sleeve received by one of the pair of post sleeves positioning devices relative to the post sleeve received by the other one of the pair of post sleeve positioning devices. Related systems and methods are also provided.
METHOD AND COMPONENTS FOR FENCE/POST INSTALLATION
A post mount (1), adapted to be installed in a substrate and releasably receive a post therein, including: a body (2); and an insert (3), adapted to cooperate with the body; wherein, in use, the body is adapted to be driven into the substrate, and, thereafter, the insert is adapted to be at least partially deformed, to thereby anchor the post mount to the substrate.
INTEGRATED SOUNDWALL AND RENEWABLE ELECTRICAL ENERGY GENERATION SYSTEM AND METAL TUBE FOUNDATIONS THEREFORE
An integrated soundwall and renewable electrical energy generation system includes a series of metal fin tube foundations; a beam secured to each metal fin tube foundation, wherein the beam includes a lower portion extending into the interior of the metal fin tube and secured thereto, and each beam including channel forming elements; a series of solid fence panels inserted between adjacent beams, with each panel received within the channels formed by adjacent beams; and an electrical energy generator, such as a solar panel array, coupled to select beams above the solid fence panels. Inexpensive energy has always been a boon to spur economic development of a region, and the use of ecologically friendly sources is preferable. The design of the system allows for easy construction of parallel fences to multiply the energy generation with such parallel fences enhancing the barrier aspects of the fence system.
Basketball Hoop Pole Holder
A holder for a pole of a basketball hoop system includes a pole sleeve for receiving the pole, a tightening system for securing the pole into the pole sleeve in a solidary relationship, and a mounting bracket to secure the pole sleeve to a ground directly or via a stake. The pole holder includes a first mounting element defining a first mounting surface for securing the mounting bracket to the ground in a generally parallel relationship, and a second mounting element that is fixedly mountable to the first mounting element and that defines a second mounting surface for fixedly receiving the pole sleeve in a generally parallel relationship, such that the pole sleeve is offset from the first mounting surface. The first and second mounting elements can be assembled within a first range of relative angular positions therebetween about a first axis that is generally parallel to the first mounting surface, and the pole sleeve and second mounting element can be assembled within a second range of relative angular positions therebetween about a third axis that is generally perpendicular to the second mounting surface and to the second axis.
POST JOINT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR COUPLING AN UPPER POST TO A LOWER POST
A post joint assembly and a method are provided. The assembly includes an upper cup member having a flat top wall, a tubular wall, a flange portion, and a threaded stud. The assembly further includes a lower cup member having a parabolic dish portion, a tubular portion, and a beaded edge portion. An outer surface of the parabolic dish portion is disposed against an inner surface of the flange portion of the upper cup member such that the threaded stud extends through a first hole in the lower cup member. The assembly further includes a tensioner cup having a second hole with the threaded stud extending therethrough. The assembly further includes a nut threadably coupled to the threaded stud such that the nut urges the tensioner cup against the lower cup member, and further urges the lower cup member against the upper cup member.
Ground Anchor
A ground anchor having a head and anchoring elements in the form of pipes or rods, wherein the ground anchor comprises an anchor head (5) which has a polygon or an ellipse cross-section, the upper part of which is open or closed with at least one opening having a head socket (7), said ground anchor contains at least two anchoring elements (6) in the form of pipes or rods passing through at least two at an angle to the vertical axis of the anchor head and anchoring element guides fixed to the anchor head (3) wherein the anchoring element guides have a hole or holes (4) for blocking the anchoring element through, wherein a screw or screws (8) lock the anchoring element passes and wherein the head socket (7) has a hole or holes (9) for locking the fastening element (1) with self-tapping screws (2).
GOLF SWING PRACTICE SHIELDING UMBRELLA ASSEMBLY
A golf swing practice shielding umbrella assembly includes a base having a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge extending between the top and bottom sides. A plurality of legs is attached to and radiate outwardly from the perimeter edge. Each of the legs has at least one of a plurality of spikes attached thereto and extending downwardly therefrom. The spikes are extendable into a ground surface to stabilize the base relative to the ground surface. A post is attached to and extends upwardly from the top side. The post has a top end. An umbrella includes a shaft and a canopy attached together. The shaft has a bottom end that is removably extendable into the top end of the post.
SUBMERGED AND/OR FLUSH TO GROUND ANCHORING SYSTEM FOR SPORADIC USE
The present disclosure is directed to an anchor assembly for placement in the ground. The assembly may include a shell with a lower end configured to be at least partially underground. An insert is provided that accepts a base, such as a baseball base or similar, and allows for built-up dirt and debris to be quickly and easily removed from the assembly so that bases and the like will be properly positioned.
