The anchor disc device supports and anchors an umbrella and includes a tube post to receive the free end of the pole of a beach umbrella with an anchor disc portion attached to the free end of the tube post. An end cap is installed in the free end of an extension of the anchor disc portion. The anchor disc portion includes an outwardly extending flange for engagement with sand into which the device is buried to help avoid disengagement of the umbrella from the sand from wind and the like. For removal, the umbrella is rotated in large circular motions to form a cone-shaped hole after which the umbrella and connected anchor disc device can be removed. The anchor disc device can then be detached from the umbrella, if desired.

Guardrail post system

The interior of the housing comprises a lower post guide, a lower post stop, and an upper post stop. A lower post has a U-channel shape with outwardly extending flanges. The lower post is insertable into the lower end of the housing, between the lower post guide and the housing body, with insertion limited by engagement with the lower post stop. An upper post has a U-channel shape with outwardly extending flanges. The upper post is insertable into the upper end of the housing, between the lower post and the housing body. Insertion of the upper post is limited by engagement with the upper post stop. The upper post is connectable to a guardrail.

Beach Umbrella Anchoring and Stabilizing Device
20220298822 · 2022-09-22 ·

A beach umbrella anchoring and stabilizing device includes a support shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a hollow interior for receiving a beach umbrella. An anchoring container affixed to the support shaft includes an open top, a closed bottom, and a sidewall extending around the support shaft from the open top to the closed bottom. The sidewall defines a laterally extending reservoir for receiving sand to anchor the device underneath the beach surface and provide lateral support to a beach umbrella mounted into the support shaft. Stabilizing vanes protrude from the distal end of the support shaft and extend from the closed bottom to the distal end. Each of the stabilizing vanes defines a broad surface that engages sand when a rotational force is exerted onto the support shaft, thereby preventing rotation of the support shaft about a longitudinal axis thereof when buried under the sand.

POST SLEEVE ASSEMBLY

A post sleeve includes a reinforced concrete body preformed around a liner that defines a cavity extending longitudinally within the body, sized to receive a post. Standoff ribs run lengthwise within the cavity and extend inward from inner walls of the cavity. A post in the cavity is supported laterally by the standoff ribs. Drain channels between the ribs permit water to flow past the post and exit the cavity via a lower aperture. A drain tube is coupled to the lower aperture, and extends downward where it is covered with gravel at the bottom of a post hole. Concrete is poured around the post sleeve in the hole. The cavity is adaptable to receive posts of varying sizes, and at various depths. A collar closes a space between the post and the top of the cavity, permitting air circulation within the cavity while shedding water and substantially preventing insects from entering the cavity.
