FOUNDATION PIER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A concentrically loaded foundation pier system which includes several concentrically stacked steel pipes filled with concrete. The entire pier is installed centrally beneath the footing of the structure. Shims are placed between the top-most pier element and a pier cap which prevents shifting when the soil expands and contracts. The final structure is end-loaded and pressed to the bedrock or other load-bearing strata. An alternative embodiment includes a temporary lifting assembly which can be fastened about the structural pier without need for bolts or other fasteners.
POST SUPPORT APPARATUS
A post, column or pile support apparatus for fixing a post end to a substrate which includes at least one support member between an upper plate member, and lower plate member. The upper plate member provides an upper outer planar surface for the resting thereon and supporting of at least an end of a post to alleviate the problem of adequately and quickly fixing the post to allow concrete to be poured there around. The upper plate member also includes at least one fastening aperture there through which is adapted to provide means for a fastener to be connected through the post support apparatus, to the post. The lower plate member is shaped to be supported by and connected to the substrate. At least one aperture is provided in the lower plate member, to allow at least one peg to be inserted there through and driven into the substrate to provide suitable support for the post support apparatus.
EMBEDDED POLES FOR UTILITY POLES AND STRUCTURES
An embedded pole installation method including applying a rotational force to a leading pole and an intermediate pole. The leading pole comprises a first helical plate disposed on a first portion of the leading pole. The intermediate pole is coupled to a second portion of the leading pole and comprises a second helical plate disposed on a first portion of the intermediate pole. The diameter of the intermediate pole is greater than a diameter of the leading pole. Applying the rotational force embeds the first helical plate and the second helical plate into a foundation such that a second portion of the intermediate pole does not penetrate the foundation. The method further includes coupling a utility pole to the second portion of the intermediate pole.
A Support Structure
Disclosed herein is an adaptor for connecting a new post structure for supporting an electrical device to an existing post structure for supporting an electrical device, the adaptor comprising one or more first engaging features arranged, in use, to engage with at least part of the existing post structure, and one or more second engaging features arranged, in use, to engage with at least part of the new post structure. Also disclosed is a connection structure for forming part of a post structure for supporting an electrical device. In addition, a lamp unit forming part of a street lamp is disclosed.
Post Holder
This invention relates to railings, and more particularly to post holders for hollow posts. The post holders of the present invention comprise a shaft extending from a base, and in use a post slides over the shaft of the post holder.
THREADED FASTENER PAIR, POST ANCHOR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SECURING A POST TO A POST ANCHOR
A threaded fastener pair, including: a first threaded fastener with a male threaded portion; and a second threaded fastener with a female threaded portion, the female portion being configured to receive the male threaded portion, wherein the first threaded fastener is formed with a shank having an outer diameter approximately equal to an outer diameter of the second threaded portion, the second threaded fastener has a length equal to or greater than that of the first threaded fastener and the length of the first threaded fastener is at least 45 mm.
Basketball Hoop Pole Holder
A holder for a pole of a basketball hoop system includes a pole sleeve for receiving the pole, a tightening system for securing the pole into the pole sleeve in a solidary relationship, and a mounting bracket to secure the pole sleeve to a ground directly or via a stake. The pole holder includes a first mounting element defining a first mounting surface for securing the mounting bracket to the ground in a generally parallel relationship, and a second mounting element that is fixedly mountable to the first mounting element and that defines a second mounting surface for fixedly receiving the pole sleeve in a generally parallel relationship, such that the pole sleeve is offset from the first mounting surface. The first and second mounting elements can be assembled within a first range of relative angular positions therebetween about a first axis that is generally parallel to the first mounting surface, and the pole sleeve and second mounting element can be assembled within a second range of relative angular positions therebetween about a third axis that is generally perpendicular to the second mounting surface and to the second axis.
Apparatus and methods for providing a portable fence
The invention pertains to a portable fencing system that provides for easy and versatile positioning and removal. In one aspect, the portable fencing system includes sleeves that are pre-positioned in the ground so as to define a predetermined boundary suitable for a particular repetitive use. In another aspect, a portable fencing system that is without pre-positioned sleeves is described, which is more suitable for applications where the insertion of semi-permanent sleeves is impracticable, or where added positioning flexibility is desired.
Fence post flush mount
A fence post mount device comprising: a base having at least one cavity; a first universal collet having a plurality of collet legs attached to each other through at least one of a plurality of separation notches, wherein a distal end of the first universal collet is inserted into the cavity from a proximal end of the base; a first cap nut inserted into the first universal collet; a post inserted into the cavity of the base; a full thread nut threaded into the first cap nut from a distal end of the base through an opening, wherein each of the plurality of separation notches are broken when the full thread nut is tightened into the first cap nut and each of the collet legs of the first universal collet deforms an inner wall of the post such that the post is securely locked within the cavity of the base.
POST BRACKET
A post brackets for supporting a wooden post above the top surface of a concrete foundation and for securing the post to embedded anchors in the concrete foundation.
