A portable and expandable fence system to provide a protective barrier around a campfire is disclosed. The fence system comprises a plurality of slats coupled together via a plurality of hinged connectors that allow the fire fence to be easily expanded and retracted in an accordion-like manner. In an expanded configuration, a first portion of the plurality of slats are substantially parallel to one another and a second portion of the plurality of slats are substantially parallel to one another, but positioned diagonally opposite to the first portion of slats. In a retracted configuration, the plurality of slats form a compacted cylindrically-shaped structure, wherein the plurality of slats are each relatively parallel to one another, substantially vertical in relation to the ground, and in contact with one another. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the system further comprises a plurality of additional safety features.

A method of assembling a portable fenced-in ball playing area that includes a plurality of panels that have an upward slot on one end of the panel and a downward slot at the other end of the panel. The panels are assembled into a polygon shaped pit, such as for a Ga-ga pit, by fitment of upward and downward slots on adjacent panels. No tools are necessary for assembly. The panels can include hand holes for easy carrying. Some panels may have a top indentation or recess to assist children in entering or leaving the fenced-in ball playing area, such as a Ga-ga pit. These panels can be reversed so that the recess is facing downward to form a goal opening for a game using a ball, puck or the like.

The support has a base having a pair of apertures disposed therethrough proximate the midpoint of the base, a plate having a pair of apertures disposed therethrough in matching dimension to the base, a pair of posts extending vertically from the plate, each posts permitting a fence panel to be mounted thereon, and a pair of fasteners disposed through the apertures of the base and the apertures of the plate to fasten the plate to the base.

A two piece temporary fence support. A method for forming a fence includes forming first and second feet each having at least two extensions thereon, wherein at least three extensions are spaced apart and parallel to each other; forming a frame having first, second and third elongated posts, wherein the first elongated post is below the extensions projecting from the first and second feet, wherein the third elongated post is positioned above the first and second posts, and wherein the second support post is positioned between the first and third elongated posts; and forming a wire mesh on the frame and welded to the three elongated posts.

A method for forming a fence includes forming first and second feet each having at least two extensions thereon, wherein at least three extensions are spaced apart and parallel to each other; forming a frame having first, second and third elongated posts, wherein the first elongated post is below the extensions projecting from the first and second feet, wherein the third elongated post is positioned above the first and second posts, and wherein the second support post is positioned between the first and third elongated posts; and forming a wire mesh on the frame and welded to the three elongated posts.

A temporary fencing assembly comprises a plurality of rectangular fence panels formed from fiberglass supported between fiberglass posts pivotally supported on a base formed from fiberglass. Each post includes two sets of vertically aligned hinge pins or hinge pin receivers projecting outward from opposite sides of the post. The fence panels are formed from rectangular, fiberglass tubing formed into a rectangular frame, each panel including a pair of side rails, a top rail and a bottom rail. The base includes a mounting stud welded to a mounting stud base. Two fiberglass T-posts are secured to the mounting stud base with legs of the T-posts extending under and covering a web of the mounting stud base.
