METHOD FOR REGULATING THE SUPPLY OF SUBSTITUATE DURING EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT AND EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT DEVICE COMPRISING A UNIT FOR REGULATING THE SUPPLY OF SUBSTITUATE
A method that regulates supply of substituate in an extracorporeal blood treatment with an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus comprising a dialyzer divided by a semipermeable membrane into a blood chamber and a dialyzing fluid chamber and a device for supplying substituate. An extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus that includes a device for regulating supply of substituate. Regulation of supply of substituate in the extracorporeal blood treatment takes place as a function of the rheological loading of the dialyzer. To regulate supply of substituate during extracorporeal blood treatment, rheological loading of the dialyzer is determined from transmembrane pressure on the dialyzer and flow resistance of the dialyzer and substituate rate is increased or reduced according to the loading. The selection of dialyzer parameters or blood parameters is therefore no longer necessary and the distinction between pre-dilution and post-dilution is also made obsolete.

The present invention further relates to a treatment apparatus comprising such a system, a kit comprising the components of such a system, a method for operating such a system (100) as well as a method for extracorporeal blood treatment with such a system (100).
SYRINGE-BASED MANUAL EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS EMPLOYING BATCH PROCESSING
The disclosure provides a manual blood or body fluid treatment system comprising first and second reservoirs for holding a batch of blood from a patient and a filter for performing an extracorporeal treatment on blood passing therethrough by removing waste molecules and/or fluid. The first reservoir is constructed to be displaced vertically relative to the second reservoir and vice versa, such that a height difference between the first and second reservoirs causes blood or body fluid to flow between the reservoirs due to gravity.
Method for regulating the supply of substituate during extracorporeal blood treatment and extracorporeal blood treatment device comprising a unit for regulating the supply of substituate
The present invention relates to a method for regulating supply of substituate in an extracorporeal blood treatment with an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus comprising a dialyzer divided by a semipermeable membrane into a blood chamber and a dialyzing fluid chamber and a device for supplying substituate. Moreover, the present invention relates to an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus having a device for regulating supply of substituate.
Nitric oxide delivery devices
A gas delivery device includes a nitric oxide generating system. The system has a medium including i) a source of nitrite ions, or ii) a source of nitrite ions and a Cu(II)-ligand complex. A working electrode is in contact with the medium, wherein i) when the medium includes the source of nitrite ions, the working electrode is a copper containing conductive material or a base material coated with a copper containing conductive material, or ii) when the medium includes the source of nitrite ions and the Cu(II)-ligand complex, the working electrode is platinum, gold, carbon, a carbon coated material, and/or mercury. A reference/counter electrode is in contact with the medium and electrically isolated from the working electrode. An inlet conduit is to deliver oxygen gas to the medium, and an outlet conduit is to transport a stream of oxygen gas and nitric oxide from the medium.
