An apparatus for interacting with a latch of a door includes a contact component configured to make physical contact with the latch, an electrically-powered module, and a housing. The electrically-powered module is configured to move the contact component such that the contact component pushes the latch out of a bore of a door frame and into the door. The housing contains the electrically-powered module and the contact component, and is configured to fit within the bore of the door frame. The apparatus can also include a mounting plate attached to the housing, the mounting plate configured to mount the apparatus to the door frame such that the housing is disposed within the bore of the door frame.

LOCKING DEVICE

A locking device including: a locking pin movable in a linear direction; a tappet movable in the linear direction; and a clamping device connecting the tappet to the locking pin. Wherein the clamping device having an inner spring and an outer spring arranged coaxially relative to each other in the linear direction, and the inner spring is at least partially surrounded by the outer spring in a radial direction orthogonal to the linear direction.

INTERLOCK UNIT AND AUTOMATED ANALYZER EQUIPPED WITH SAME

An interlock unit for preventing rotation from a closed position of a cover to an open position thereof, includes: a hollow case having a rectangular parallelepiped shape disposed at a position adjacent to an inner side surface of a casing, below an end part opposite to a support shaft at the closed position of the cover; an action member that is provided on an upper surface of the case, supported to be movable between a non-operating position and an operating position, and engaged with a protruding part provided on the cover at the operating position to inhibit the cover from rotating toward the open position; electromagnetic drive means provided below the action member to drive the action member; and drive connecting means for driving the action member by connecting the action member and the electromagnetic drive means and transmitting an operation of the electromagnetic drive means to the action member.

Surface-mountable electric strike

A surface-mountable electric strike having a keeper arranged to pivot about a first shaft extending in a longitudinal direction; a lock lever for locking the keeper in a door-locking position, the lock lever being arranged to pivot about a second shaft extending in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction and parallel to the backside of the strike; and an actuation mechanism for actuating the lock lever, the actuation mechanism comprising an electromagnet that is situated next to the lock lever in a direction which is substantially perpendicular to the backside of the strike thereby enabling the electromagnet to act directly upon the lock lever providing a simple construction. Moreover, the orientation of the second shaft enables arranging the lock lever, and the electromagnet, above and/or underneath the keeper, thereby reducing the total depth of the strike.

Delayed emergency release unit

The manual release mechanism described herein enables a passenger to attempt to manually open the transit door, but delays opening until the vehicle is no longer moving. A motion transfer device (14) moves to an unlocking position of the door lock (10) only when the manual release mechanism is activated to store energy in a mechanical energy storage device (40), and an electromechanical device (26) is de-energized to release the motion transfer device (14).

Fast acting electro-mechanical unlocking device

An electro-mechanical unlocking device that includes a locking state, a holding state and an unlocking state. The unlocking device includes an arming solenoid and a holding solenoid. In the locking state the arming solenoid moves an arming assembly, which moves a crank and which moves a holding armature from a second position to a first position. In the holding state the holding solenoid is energized and the arming solenoid is de-energizing, which allows the arming armature to moves from the first position to the second position. In the unlocking state the holding solenoid is de-energized, which allows the holding armature and the arming link to move from the first position to the second position. In the locking and holding states a sear blocks the path of the striker and in the unlocking state the sear does not block the path of the striker.

LATCHING STRUCTURE, HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE

A latching structure, a household appliance and a control method for the household appliance are provided. The latching structure has a snapping member, a bracket, a limiting member, and a driving assembly. The snapping member is mounted on a door body and has a hook. The bracket is mounted on a housing and has a limiting portion. The hook can penetrate the bracket. The door body is connected to the housing in an openable and closable manner. The limiting member is rotatably mounted to the bracket and can reciprocate between an unlocked position and a locked position. The driving assembly is configured to engage with or disengage from the limiting member. In the unlocked position, the limiting member avoids the hook, and in the locked position, the limiting member is suitable for fitting the hook to limit a position of the hook.

Imethods and systems for operably connecting notebook computing components using electropermanent magnets

A dual-contact electro-permanent magnet (EPM) assembly of an information handling system may comprise a plurality of high-coercivity magnets situated on opposite ends of a low-coercivity magnet, a first EPM magnetic contact disposed between a first of the plurality of high-coercivity magnets and the low-coercivity magnet, and a second EPM magnetic contact disposed between a second of the plurality of high-coercivity magnets and the low-coercivity magnet. The low-coercivity magnet polarity may correlate to a direction of current pulse applied to an electrically conductive wire coiled around the low-coercivity magnet, and dependent upon the low-coercivity magnet polarity, the first EPM magnetic contact is capable of operating in an attractive magnetic state to attract a ferromagnetic contact of a peripheral device while the second EPM magnetic contact is magnetically neutral with respect to the ferromagnetic contact.

An electric strike having two keepers arranged to pivot about respective shafts extending in a longitudinal direction, a lock lever for locking the keepers in a door-locking position, the lock lever being arranged to pivot about a second shaft extending in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction and parallel to the backside of the strike; and an actuation mechanism for actuating the lock lever. The keepers form side walls of a bolt cavity and are arranged to pivot between a door-locking position and a door-releasing position. Therefore, the bolt may exit the cavity in two directions, e.g., a first direction for a left-handed closure member and a second direction for a right-handed closure member. The strike can thus be mounted in the same orientation for both left-handed and right-handed closure members.
