Motor vehicle door handle with device for detecting an intention to lock and to unlock a motor vehicle door
A device for detecting the intention of a user to lock or to unlock a motor vehicle door. The device being incorporated within a handle, including: a capacitive sensor for detecting the approach and/or the contact of a hand of the user toward/with the handle, including at least one electrode, located in proximity to a detection surface of the handle, that is capable of detecting the approach of the hand of a user toward the detection surface; a microcontroller; and a voltage source. At least a portion of the electrode takes a continuous shape of successive arches which allow water to flow away and are connected to one another at their bases by junctions, the junctions being pressed against the detection surface, thus forming a sealtight interface.
Contact sensing device, proximity/contact sensing device, door handle device and control method of the door handle device, and electronic key system
The door handle device includes: a contact sensing unit including a guide groove and a contact sensing electrode, the guide groove configured to guide a water droplet falling on a door, the contact sensing electrode disposed in the guide groove and configured to sense a contact with the door; a locking unit configured to execute unlocking and locking of a door; and a control unit configured to instruct to the locking unit to keep locking the door if determining that the water droplet is in contact with the door, on the basis of a sensing result by the contact sensing electrode. There are provided: a contact sensing device; a door handle device and a control method for such a door handle device; and an electronic key system, for preventing a misoperation due to a water droplet adhering to a door handle of vehicles, which has an electrostatic locking mechanism.
Door locking foldable safety trim
Object of the invention is a door locking foldable safety trim which increases the strength of the door, it ensures a more efficient way to increase safety. The invention has an adjustable button for locking the trim into the desired angle ensuring the proper fitment to secure. With the release button to close and retract back to the closed position completely flushed, thus giving it a natural trim appearance around the door.
Anti-ligature door hardware with enhanced safety features
A door hardware assembly for a door having privacy and accessible sides includes a closing element moveable between a retracted position where the door is freely openable and an extended position where the door is maintained in a closed position when closed, and an actuator operably connected to the closing element, the actuator moving the closing element from the extended position to the retracted position upon receipt of an open command. At least one actuation sensor is provided on the privacy side of the door, causing the open command to be communicated to the actuator in response to an object being sensed within a threshold distance thereof, and at least one auxiliary sensor is provided on the privacy side of the door and providing at least one enhanced safety feature, the at least one auxiliary sensor being separate and distinct from the at least one actuation sensor.
PACKAGE RECEIVING DEVICE AND PACKAGE RECEIVING METHOD
A package receiving device 10 includes: a casing 12 having an opening 12a formed in an upper surface thereof; a placement table 22 configured to move up and down between a raised position at which the placement table 22 is located at the upper surface opening 12a of the casing 12 and a lowered position at which the placement table 22 is located inside the casing 12; a lid member 32 configured to move between an opening position and a closing position so that the lid member 32 opens/closes the upper surface opening 12a of the casing 12. After the package is placed thereon, the placement table 22 is moved to the lowered position from the raised position, and subsequently the lid member 32 is moved to the closing position from the opening position, whereby the package placed on the placement table 22 is housed inside the casing 12.
REFRIGERATOR, SERVER, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator for recognizing an object to be stored and automatically opening a door based on the recognized object, and a method therefor are provided. The refrigerator includes a main body, at least one door provided on a front surface of the main body, one or more storage rooms provided in the main body or the at least one door and configured to store an object, a cooler configured to cool the one or more storage rooms, a door driver configured to generate power for automatically opening and closing the at least one door, a camera configured to photograph an image of surroundings around the at least one door, and at least one processor configured to, in the case in which an object is recognized from the image of surroundings photographed by the camera, transmit a control signal for opening the at least one door to the door driver based on the recognized object.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DOOR AND COMPONENTS RELATED TO THE SAME
A method of operating a door system includes sensing a user on an exterior side of a door panel in physical propinquity to the lock such that the lock transitions from a sleep state to an active state, authenticating the user when the lock is in the active state before converting the lock from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration, and converting the lock from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration in response to transition to the active state. Authenticating the user includes receiving an authentication signal from a remote device on the user in physical propinquity to the to the lock.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DOOR AND COMPONENTS RELATED TO THE SAME
A method of operating a door system includes receiving a signal from a pressure sensor disposed in a sill or a frame of the door system, authenticating the user after receiving the signal, shifting the lock from a locked configured to an unlocked configuration in response to receiving the signal after authenticating the user, and moving the door panel from a closed position to an ajar position in response to receiving the signal.
SEALING OF AN ELECTRONIC LOCK
An electronic lock includes exterior and interior assemblies. The electronic lock includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The exterior and interior assemblies are connected to, and capable of actuating, the bolt. The exterior assembly includes an escutcheon and a sensor to selectively actuate movement of the bolt. The sensor has a first side and an opposite second side and the first side is accessible from the escutcheon and the sensor is in communication with, and connected to, the processor of the interior assembly. The exterior assembly includes a first seal positioned around the sensor at the first side between the sensor and the escutcheon.
