ENERGY EFFICIENT SMART MAILBOX
20230355021 · 2023-11-09 ·

The present disclosure describes a method for operating a mailbox, the method comprising: detecting a motion in proximity to the mail box; engaging a lock based at least partially on the detecting of the motion; and disengaging the lock after a predetermined amount of time has passed after detecting of the motion, in the absence of detecting additional motion.

Shared bicycle that can be charged conveniently

The present disclosure relates to a shared bicycle that can be charged conveniently. The bicycle includes a front fork, a rear fork, a handle mounted on the front fork, a shopping basket mounted on the handle, a solar panel mounted on the shopping basket, and a smart lock mounted on the rear fork. The bicycle further includes a bus for data transmission and charging. One end of the bus is electrically connected to the smart lock, and the other end of the bus is configured with an interface that can be connected to an external circuit. The interface is mounted on the shopping basket. The solar panel is connected to the bus via a wire. The interface of the bus is mounted on the shopping basket without disassembling the cover plate, which provides a large operable space and makes it convenient for charging and data transmission, thereby improving the rescue efficiency.

Electromechanical lock
11408205 · 2022-08-09 · ·

Electromechanical lock. Actuator (103) comprises drive head (109) rotatable by electric power (160). Access control mechanism (104) comprises driven gear (101) with cogs, and grip mechanism (111). Drive head (109) comprises two pins (210, 212) configured and positioned so that one of pins (210, 212) is in notch between two cogs (220, 222, 224, 226, 228) of driven gear (101). For opening, drive head (109) rotates driven gear (101) to open position (400), by two pins (210, 212) driving cogs (220, 222, 224, 226, 228) and overcoming grip mechanism (111), and thereby setting access control mechanism (104) to be rotatable (152) by user. If external mechanical break-in force (172) is applied, drive head (109) remains stationary by at least one of pins (210, 212) contacting at least one of cogs (220, 222, 224), and by grip mechanism (111) holding driven gear (101) stationary in locked position (200).

KEYS AND LOCKS

A key and lock set for a vehicle includes: a vehicle lock set with both vehicle door lock and vehicle engine start lock; a passcode for mechanical lock; a rotary mechanical passcode dialer or push-button mechanical passcode keypad that is mounted in vehicle and accessible from vehicle outside; an electronic key in the form of a card key, tag key, passcode or biometric for an electronic lock, wireless key with a built-in power source, portable electronic appliance with key software or key hardware of cell phone, smart phone, tablet, computer, smart watch, digital camera or digital multimedia player; and an electronic key identifier that is mounted in vehicle for the electronic key.

Device and methods for providing a lock for preventing unwanted access to a locked enclosure
11846121 · 2023-12-19 · ·

A device for preventing unwanted opening of a locked enclosure includes a lock bolt moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. A lever arm is movable between disengaged and engaged positions and moves the lock bolt between the locked and unlocked positions. A rotary element is engageable with the lever arm in the engageable position. The rotation of the rotary element when the rotary element is engaged with the lever arm moves the lock bolt between the locked and unlocked positions. A pin normally blocks the lever arm from moving from the disengaged position to the engageable position. A rotatable output gear moves a rack gear and the pin to unblock the lever arm and thereby allowing the lever arm to engage with the rotary element to allow a user to rotate the rotary element to move the lock bolt between the locked and unlocked positions.

Secure mail and package storage apparatus

A secure mail and package storage apparatus for safely receiving mail includes a package housing that is secured to the ground and a lid coupled to the package housing that selectively closes a storage cavity. A lid lock locks and unlocks the lid. A CPU that is in operational communication with the lid lock has a transceiver that is configured to communicate with a smartphone. A mail tower with a mail door and a mail door lock is coupled to the package housing. A first keypad and a second keypod operate the lid lock and the door lock, respectively.

POWER-SAVING DOOR LOCK SYSTEMS AND METHODS

An electronic door lock system that saves power by putting some electronic devices, such as transceivers, in sleep mode and by executing instructions only in response to ambient trigger scenarios. Instructions sent to an electronic door lock from a remote device could be stored on a server before being downloaded to the electronic door lock system once the transceiver is awakened from sleep mode.
