Combination Forced Entry Resistant Sash Lock and Tilt Latch, Also Functioning as a Window Opening Control Device
A window fastener includes a forced-entry-resistant sash lock and tilt latch assembly. The sash lock is actuated to engage a keeper to lock the closed sash window. The tilt latch assembly permits sliding of the unlocked window, and prevents tilting until the tilt latch assembly is actuated by the interconnected sash lock. The sash lock and tilt latch assembly cooperate with a stop member secured to a master window frame, to limit opening of the window to a position between the closed position and a full open position, through contact of the latch assembly with a portion of the stop member. The sash lock is configured to actuate the latch assembly into a cocked position, permitting window movement beyond the limited position, and selective contact between the latch assembly and stop member that triggers latch assembly repositioning, causing automatic locking of the sash window when moved into the closed position.
SLIDING ENTRY DOOR WITH INTEGRATED VENT AND LATCH
A lockable sliding door is described. A ratcheted track allows the movable panel of the door to be selectively locked in both closed and vented positions. A lever is positioned along a midpoint of the movable panel to allow for the easy engagement of the locking mechanism. Further, the locking mechanism is carried on the movable panel. The technology is configured to allow the sliding door to be locked in various configurations, with the door partially opened, completely open, or completely closed. The technology may also be utilized on windows or any other architectural features with a slide-to-open and close design.
Lock
A lock includes a housing and a lock mechanism with a dead-bolt disposed in the housing, wherein the dead-bolt is retractable and protrudable between its two terminal positions. The lock further includes at least one bending element disposed in the housing connected to a mechanical component of the lock mechanism at a connecting location, wherein the longest extension of the bending element is defined along a first axis. When the dead-bolt retracts and protrudes, the connecting location of the mechanical component moves along a second axis. The first axis is angled with regard to the second axis, such that when the dead-bolt is displaced into at least one terminal position, the bending element elastically bends and the bending element maintains the lock mechanism in the terminal position.
Windows and doors assembly having ventilation function and horizontal contact function
The present disclosure relates to a windows and doors assembly having a ventilation function and a horizontal contact function, and more particularly to a horizontal contact windows and doors assembly for crime prevention and security functions by preventing a window from being open even when the window is slightly open and it is possible to ventilate with the outside air. To achieve the objective of the present disclosure, the windows and doors assembly having a ventilation function and a horizontal contact function includes a window frame, and a windowsill in which the window frame is slidably installed, a handle rotatably installed on the window frame, an engagement unit provided on a lateral surface of the window frame, linked to movement of the handle, and moved in upward and downward directions, an engagement guide provided on the windowsill to face the engagement unit and configured to catch or not catch the engagement unit depending on a position of the engagement unit, and a horizontal moving device provided on at least one of a top surface or a bottom surface of the window frame, linked to the handle, and configured to make the window frame horizontally come into contact with the windowsill or to release horizontal contact depending on movement of the handle, and in this case, when a contact state of the window with respect to the windowsill by the horizontal contact device is released while a catching operation between the engagement unit and the engagement guide is performed, it is possible to ventilate through a gap between the window and the windowsill, the window is restrictly moved to form the gap, and the window is prevented from being freely open.
DOUBLE THROW WINDOW LOCK
An apparatus for securing or locking a sliding window or door in one or more positions along a window or door track associated with an outer window or door frame. The apparatus may include a pinion gear, rotatable by a knob, operatively connected to two pins such that the rotation of the pinion gear causes the pins to move in an out of wells in the outer frame, based on the direction of rotation.
Spring Loaded Lock Bolt
A lock for a retractable door that is moveable along a track may include a pin assembly coupled to the door and moveable with respect to the door from a retracted configuration to an extended configuration. A biasing element may bias the pin toward the extended configuration. A strike plate may be in the track and be configured to mate with the pin assembly. The door may be prevented from moving along the track when the pin assembly is mated with the strike plate.
Console for vehicle interior
A component for vehicle interior is disclosed. The component comprises a base, a bin and a cover. The cover is configured to move relative to the base from a closed position to cover the bin to an intermediate position to partially uncover the bin to an open position to uncover the bin. A button is coupled to the cover. The component comprises a link coupled to the cover and a latch. The link is configured to secure the cover to the base and/or release cover from the base at the closed position, the intermediate position and the open position. The latch comprises two arms. The link is configured to translate downward movement of the button into lateral movement of the two arms between an extended position and a retracted position. The two arms engage with the base to secure the cover to the base when the two arms are at the extended position. The two arms disengage with the base to release the cover from the base when the two arms are at the retracted position. Each of the two arms is coupled to at least one spring to move the one of the arms to the extended position.
Latch and lock system
The present invention discloses a lock mechanism, comprising a latch mechanism that includes a remote latch actuator that is positioned remotely from a remote latch assembly and a keeper assembly, with the latch mechanism housed and accommodated within an enclosure.
Door apparatus and parking apparatus equipped therewith
A door apparatus for closing an access opening and to a parking apparatus equipped therewith. The door apparatus has two vertically aligned guide rails and an inner and an outer door element which are each movably mounted in/on a vertically aligned inner or outer guide of the guide rails. In a closed position, the inner door element is arranged in a first region of the access opening which is situated lower than a second region in which the outer door element is arranged. In an open position, the inner and the outer door element are arranged in a third region of the access opening which is situated higher than the first and the second region. Furthermore, the door apparatus has a locking element and a coupling element.
Rotary actuated slam latch system
Rotary actuated latch systems with linearly acting latch rods, and methods of assembling rotary actuated latch systems with linearly acting rods are disclosed. In some aspects, the rotary actuated latch systems are self-engaging and comprise a handle having two guides, the handle operably attached to a spring, two latch rods comprising clevises operably attached to the two guides, and at least two strike plates for actuating the latching system without additional user input. The spring applies equal tension to the two linearly acting latch rods, allowing for smooth operation of the latching system without binding while providing for a compact design that eliminates stresses imposed by conventional latch systems where the latch rods rotate off-axis. In some embodiments, the rotary actuated latch system may be assembled as a complete unit, prior to installation on the mechanism to be latched.
