DUAL FUNCTION SECURITY/FIRE LOCKING MECHANISM FOR FIRE RATED DEVICES
20210404219 · 2021-12-30 ·

An exit device located in a door frame having a door strike including a latchbolt assembly, a pushbar assembly, and a link assembly. The latchbolt assembly includes an extended position configured to engage the door strike, and a retracted position configured to move past the door strike. The pushbar assembly moves from a released position to a pressed position to move the latchbolt assembly from the extended position to the retracted position. The link assembly is operatively connected to the pushbar assembly and includes a security link having an elongated aperture and a pin configured to extend through the elongated aperture about which the security link rotates. A keeper surrounds the pin and supports the security link for rotation. In the event of extreme heat, the keeper melts and the security link moves to a position to substantially prevent opening of the door.

EXIT DEVICE

Embodiments described herein relate to an exit device having a construction that facilitates visual inspection of the state of the exit device. Embodiments of the exit device include a visual indicator as to the state (dogged or undogged) of the exit device.

Push Pad Exit Device for Emergency Door Egress
20210388642 · 2021-12-16 · ·

A push pad exit device comprising a horizontal push bar actuator mechanically linked to a vertical door handle assembly, for use on the interior side of entrance doors where a means of emergency egress is desired is presented. The operating mechanisms of the push bar actuator and vertical door handle assembly are concealed presenting a smooth uncluttered appearance. In one mode of operation, the push pad actuator may be moved inwards towards the door face causing the door to unlatch. The push pad exit device may also be equipped with a “dogging feature” which locks the push bar actuator in the unlatched position. In this mode of operation the door is unlatched and the push pad actuator may be used as a fixed door handle. The push pad exit device may also be equipped with a keyed lock on an external face of the door.

DOOR LOCK DEVICE AND ELECTRIC CONTROL ASSEMBLY THEREOF

A door lock device for emergency doors is provided, in which, through a configuration of a sensing component, the actuating time can be adjusted by a driver according to demands to facilitate time-delayed unlocking.

Door Security Assembly
20210372166 · 2021-12-02 ·

A door security assembly for blockading a door in a lockdown situation includes a blockade device. An element of the blockade device insertable into a gap defined by a door and a crash bar that is engaged to the door. Each of a pair of fasteners engaged to the blockade device is selectively engageable the crash bar, so that the blockade device is reversibly engaged to the crash bar with the element positioned in the gap. The blockade device prevents actuation of the crash bar so that the door cannot be opened. The fasteners are positioned so that two hands are required to simultaneously disengage the fasteners from the crash bar to enable disengagement of the blockade device from the crash bar.

Exit device dogging operator

An exit device for a door includes an elongate housing, a latch, a touch bar assembly, a panel, and a dogging assembly. The elongate housing is configured to be mounted to the door. The touch bar assembly is attached to the elongate housing. The touch bar assembly includes a touch bar that is movable relative to the elongate housing and has a linkage that operably connects the touch bar to the latch. The panel is connected to the elongate housing. The dogging assembly has a combination lock dogging operator and a dogging mechanism. The dogging mechanism is rotatably coupled to the elongate housing. The combination lock dogging operator is mounted to the panel, and is drivably engaged with the dogging mechanism.

Air tight door
11352832 · 2022-06-07 · ·

The present disclosure relates to an air tight door including a frame having three frame members disposed, respectively, at a first lateral side, a second lateral side, and an upper side of an opening; and a longitudinal member disposed at a lower side of the opening. The door is rotatably connected to the frame member disposed at the first lateral side of the opening so as to open and/or close the opening. A first sealing disposed at each of the three frame members closely contacts the door in a closed state; and a second sealing elevatably disposed at a lower end of the door descends from the lower end of the door to closely contact the longitudinal member in the closed state. A locking device fixes a position of the door in the closed state; and an actuating device is configured to unlock the locking device.

Dampening Mechanism for Touch Bar Exit Device

An embodiment is directed to a touch bar exit device for use on an exit door. The touch bar exit device include a touch bar and a link bar which moves as the touch bar is depressed. A return mechanism is mounted on the link bar. A damper mechanism is mounted on the link bar. The damper mechanism limits the travel of the link bar and the touch bar to dampen the sound of the touch bar exit device when the touch bar is depressed.

Motorized latch retraction with return boost

An exemplary electronic actuator assembly is configured for use with a pushbar assembly having a drive assembly operable to retract a latchbolt, and includes an input shaft, a motor, and a boost spring. The motor has a retracting state in which the motor drives the input shaft from a proximal position to a distal position, a holding state in which the motor exerts a holding force to retain the input shaft in the distal position, and a releasing state in which the motor exerts a residual force that resists movement of the input shaft. The boost spring exerts a boost force urging the input shaft in the proximal direction to at least partially counteract the residual force.
