Door Latch System
This invention relates to a door latch system. The door latch system includes: a housing; a latch pivotally and rotatably installed in the housing; a main locking member slidingly installed in the housing for locking the latch; a sub-locking member slidingly installed in the housing and disposed in one side of the main locking member; a hook pivotally and movably installed in any one of the main locking member and the sub-locking member; a stopping threshold formed in the other one (wherein the hook is not installed) of the main locking member and the sub-locking member; and a locking plate slidingly installed in the housing for pivotally moving the hook, wherein the main locking member and the sub-locking member are sliding together when the hook is held by the stopping threshold by the sliding of the locking plate, and only the sub-locking member is sliding when the hook is separated from the stopping threshold by the sliding of the locking plate, so that even if the door lever is being pulled when the door is being locked, the unnecessary force is not transferred to the other components such as a latch, a main locking member, and the like.
Child safety lock
An apparatus including a capture device and a processor. The capture device may be configured to generate a plurality of video frames corresponding to an interior view of a vehicle. The processor may be configured to perform operations on the video frames to detect objects in the video frames, detect an occupant of the vehicle and a seat of the vehicle based on the objects detected in the video frames, determine a status of the occupant based on characteristics of the occupant detected in the video frames and generate a signal in response to a comparison of the status of the occupant to a threshold. The characteristics may be determined by performing the operations on the occupant in the video frames. The signal may be configured to control a door lock. The door lock controlled by the signal may correspond to the seat used by the occupant.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CHILD PRESENCE DETECTION WITH ACTIVE CHILD PROTECTION INTERLOCKS AND SAFETY WARNINGS
A passenger protection system for a vehicle includes a vehicle sensor control system having at least one processor and computerized memory storing vehicle control software therein, wherein the vehicle control software receives input data from a plurality of vehicle sensors. A digital control sequence is triggered in the software by a presence of at least one occupant other than a driver in the vehicle who is classified as a child, with the digital control sequence activating and de-activating an alert system and a system of electronically programmed interlocks in a vehicle control system. The alert system includes at least one of an audible alert and/or a visible alert and/or a haptic alert to ensure child safety in the vehicle during operation. The interlocks may electronically control numerous vehicle functions including window operation, seat position adjustment, and seat belt position adjustment.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ACTIVATING A DOOR LOCK IN A VEHICLE
The present invention relates to techniques for activating a lock in a vehicle. Said techniques discuss capturing an image of an interior of the vehicle, the image comprising an occupant on a seat of the vehicle, detecting a weight value of the occupant on a respective seat of the vehicle, processing the image for determining whether the occupant is a human or an object or an animal. It further discusses in response to the determination that the occupant is the human processing the image for determining a parameter of the human, and activating a lock based on the parameter, or the weight value and the parameter.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK, IN PARTICULAR MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR LOCK
A motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, comprising a locking mechanism consisting essentially of a rotary latch and a pawl, further comprising an actuation lever chain for the locking mechanism, and comprising a locking element, at least one securing element, and exactly one spring element that cooperates with both the locking element and the securing element. The actuation lever chain can be controlled via the locking element to be put at least into the functional states “unlocked” and “locked” and can be additionally controlled via the securing element to be put into the functional states “non-secured” and “secured.” According to the invention, the spring element additionally cooperates with the actuation lever chain.
