Door latch with opening memory feature
A closure latch for a vehicle door is provided. The closure latch includes an emergency lock actuator to permit a person to lock the door in the event that the power lock actuator is unusable. The latch also includes an impatient passenger feature, which permits the doors to be unlocked using the remote keyless-entry feature on the key fob even in a situation where an impatient passenger had prematurely lifted the door handle of the vehicle. In some prior art latches, such an action by an impatient passenger would prevent the drive motor on the latch from unlocking the latch, thereby necessitating the owner to press the unlock button on the key fob a second time. There is some overlap in the components that used for the impatient passenger feature and the components used for the emergency lock actuator, thereby reducing cost and complexity of the latch.
Vehicle latch
A latch includes a housing, a fork bolt operably coupled to the housing and pivotal between an unlatched position, a primary latched position, and a secondary latched position, and a detent lever operably coupled to the housing and arranged to cooperate with the fork bolt. A drive link is operatively connected to the fork bolt and to the detent lever. An override lever is operably coupled to the drive link. A manual release lever is operably coupled to the override lever. The manual release lever is movable between a rest position and a release position. The drive link is automatically moved out of a path of rotation of the fork bolt when the manual release lever is moved to the release position.
MOTOR-VEHICLE LOCK
A method and a device for operating an opening drive for a motor-vehicle lock, in particular motor-vehicle door lock. Also provided is a locking mechanism which consists substantially of a rotary latch and a pawl. Further, a sensor associated with the rotary latch is provided, as well as a drive unit that indirectly or directly acts upon the pawl, the drive unit being controlled according to signals of the sensor. According to the invention, the sensor produces a signal only once the rotary latch can be freely opened.
LATCH FOR MOTOR VEHICLE WITH PAWL POSITION RETAINING
The task of the invention is to create a motor vehicle latch with a retaining device which retains the pawl in its starting position with particular reliability during an opening process.
The task of the invention is solved by a motor vehicle latch with a locking mechanism encompassing a catch and a pawl for ratcheting of the catch. A retaining device is present which retains the pawl in its non-ratcheting starting position during opening. The retaining device encompasses a spring with an elastically rotated leg and a spring lever mounted thereon which can retain the pawl in its starting position during opening due to the elastic torsion. The pawl is retained in its starting position during opening with the aid of the spring lever and consequently with the aid of a torsional moment.
Motor Vehicle Door Latch, In Particular A Tailgate Latch
A motor vehicle door latch, in particular a tailgate latch, which is equipped with a locking mechanism comprising a catch and a pawl. Furthermore, a triggering element working on the pawl is provided for which is set up at least to lift the pawl. Furthermore, a memory element, which at least guarantees an unimpeded opening movement of the catch when the pawl is lifted. The memory element maintains the pawl in its elevated position.
Motor vehicle door latch
The object of the present invention is a motor vehicle door latch which is equipped with a locking mechanism (2, 3) predominantly consisting of a catch (2) and a pawl (3). Furthermore, a spring-impinged storage element (8) is provided for which maintains the pawl (3) in an elevated storage position during an opening process of the locking mechanism (2, 3) until the catch (2) is opened. According to the invention, the spring-impinged storage element (8) is formed as a leg spring (8) which is anchored in the latch with its one leg (8b) and with its other leg (8a) in the storage position maintains the pawl (3) in the elevated position and is braced on the catch (2) to this end.
VEHICLE TAILGATE LOCKING DEVICE
A vehicle tailgate locking device may include a latch assembly configured to engage or disengage a striker, wherein the latch assembly includes a housing, a latch member disposed in the housing and configured to engage or disengage the striker by rotation, a pawl member rotatably disposed in the housing to restrain or release the latch member, a driving device configured to rotate the pawl member to release restraint of the latch member, an engaging member configured to restrain the pawl member by engaging the pawl member when the pawl member rotates to a position releasing restraint of the latch member, and a releasing portion configured to press the engaging member to release the restraint of the pawl member when the latch member is rotated to a position releasing the engagement of the striker.
VEHICLE DOOR LATCH DEVICE
Provided is a vehicle door latch device capable of shortening of energization time to an electrical drive source while a moving member is restrained by abutting against a stopper portion and improvement of durability of the electrical drive source. A control unit of the door latch device controls an electric motor for driving a sector gear in a release direction based on a door operation of an operation switch, and controls to stop a power supply to the electric motor when the latch is rotated from the full-latch position to the open position and a full-latch detecting switch is activated while the moving member is brought into abutment with the stopper portion and is stopped.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK
The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock (1) comprising a locking mechanism that includes a rotary latch (2), at least one pawl (3), a triggering lever (4) that allows the pawl (3) to disengage from the rotary latch (2), and a latching lever function that allows the triggering lever (4) which is actuated for disengaging the rotary latch (2) to be secured in an actuated position; the triggering lever can be guided by the rotary latch (2) only in some sections.
