ELECTRONIC HANDLE FOR A VEHICLE DOOR
20230193667 · 2023-06-22 · ·

A vehicle handle includes a grip member, electronic device, bracket, and retainer. The grip member cooperates with an activation member to activate a latch and unlatch the door. The grip member and activation member are rotatably mounted respectively about grip and activation axes. The electronic device activates the latch. The retainer is mounted on the bracket to rotate around a retaining axis and has a predetermined retaining force. The grip, activation, and retaining axes are parallel to each other. The activation member comprises a driving element and the retaining member comprises a stop element. The driving element cooperates with the stop element such that when the grip member is pulled from the rest position to the mechanical activation position, the activation member is actuated according to a driving force. The driving element contacts the stop element and is retained thereby until the driving force exceeds the predetermined retaining force.

Vehicular exterior lighting system with ground illumination

A vehicular exterior lighting system includes a lighting module disposed at a side of a vehicle. The lighting module includes at least one light emitting diode. The lighting module is operable to emit light that is viewable by a person exterior the side of the vehicle who is viewing the side of the vehicle. The lighting module emits white light responsive to a signal from a remote device to provide ground illumination of a ground region at the side of the vehicle at which the lighting module is disposed, and the lighting module (i) emits a first color of light responsive to a door lock signal and (ii) emits a second color of light responsive to a door unlock signal. The first color of light is different than the second color of light.

LOCK MECHANISM

A lock mechanism according to an embodiment includes an engaging portion, a hook, and a pressing portion. The engaging portion is provided in any one of a housing and a door that is configured to open and close a housing opening portion of the housing. The hook is provided in the other one of the housing and the door to be rotatable around a rotation axis, is engageable with the engaging portion, and is normally disengaged from the engaging portion by its own weight. The pressing portion is provided separately from the hook and is configured to press the hook. The hook includes a hook side engaging portion that is configured to engage with the engaging portion with the rotation axis interposed therebetween, and a hook side pressing portion that is configured to cause the engaging portion to engage with the hook side engaging portion by being pressed by the pressing portion.

Arrester Component for a Door Operation Assembly

A vehicle having a door operation assembly having an internal door handle assembly, an outside door handle assembly, and an arrester component. The arrester component includes a housing, a barrier, and an activator/deactivator. When the vehicle door is in a locked state and the outside door handle is in a flush position, the activator/deactivator causes the barrier to engage with an outside door handle of the door handle assembly to arrest the movement of the door handle from the flush position to a deployed position. When the vehicle door is in the locked state and the door handle is in the deployed position, the activator/deactivator causes the barrier to disengage from the door handle to allow the movement of the outside door handle from the deployed position to the flush position.

A vehicular handle device includes: a handle base fixed to a vehicle and holding an operating handle; and a shaft component inserted into and attached to a bearing portion provided in the handle base. The shaft component is retained in the bearing portion while being restrained from moving in a slipping-out direction by a cantilever-shaped elastic piece formed on the handle base and configured to be elastically deformed to allow passage of the shaft component. The handle base is provided with a stopper protrusion portion which limits an elastic deformation range of the elastic piece by letting a free end portion of the elastic piece abut on a stopper surface.
