Latch assembly
A latch assembly includes a forkbolt biased to rotate in a first direction about a first pivot point, and a detent biased to rotate in a second direction about a second pivot point, the detent configured to engage with the forkbolt in at least two different positions. The latch assembly further includes a lever having a first end coupled to the detent and a second end biased toward the forkbolt. The latch assembly further includes a switch configured to detect a position of both the forkbolt and the combined lever and detent.
VEHICLE DOOR LOCK DEVICE
A vehicle door lock device includes a latch configured to rotate between a fully-latched position and an unlatched position, a pawl configured to rotate between a restriction position where a rotation of the latch from the fully-latched position to the unlatched position is restricted and a permission position where the rotation is permitted, a latch support shaft, a pawl support shaft, a first base to which a first end of the latch support shaft and a first end of the pawl support shaft are fixed, a second base to which a second end of the latch support shaft and a second end of the pawl support shaft are fixed, and a coupling member that couples the first base and the second base. A first end of the coupling member is fixed to the first base, and a second end of the coupling member is fixed to the second base.
DOOR LOCK, IN PARTICULAR MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR LOCK
A door lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, which is equipped with a locking mechanism that substantially consists of a rotary latch and at least one pawl. Each of the two locking mechanism parts rotatably supported on a base about a respective axis. For this purpose, a bearing surface of each locking mechanism part slides along a fixed support body. According to the invention, the support body is provided with an open bearing trough for receiving the bearing surface.
Vehicle door lock, especially tailgate lock
The subject matter of the present invention is a motor vehicle door lock, in particular tailgate lock, which is provided with a locking mechanism (1, 2) essentially consisting of a rotary latch (1) and a pawl (2). Furthermore, as required, an unlocking/opening actuator (6) as well as a locking actuator (7) may be realised. In addition at least one sensor (12, 13) assigned to the locking actuator (7) is provided. According to the invention the sensor (12, 13) is arranged at a distance from a locking mechanism plane protected in the lock interior, and is impacted by means of an actuating element (14) following the locking actuator (7).
POSITION SENSING SYSTEM FOR A LATCH USING A COMMON SENSOR
A latch for a closure panel of a vehicle comprising: a housing; a ratchet pivotally mounted the housing for moving between an open position and a primary position; a pawl pivotally mounted on the housing, the pawl biased towards the ratchet for holding the ratchet in a secondary position and in the primary position, the secondary position located between the open position and the primary position; and a position sensor for detecting a first position of the ratchet when at the primary position as well as a second position when the ratchet is at the secondary position.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK
A motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, which is provided with a locking mechanism consisting substantially of a rotary latch and a pawl. In addition, a latching element, which is arranged in the engagement region between two locking mechanism components is provided, wherein said latching element is pivotably mounted on the rotary latch and/or the pawl for the most part in a plane of the locking mechanism (E). According to the invention, the latching element has a guide extension, which projects relative to the plane of the locking mechanism (E), for additional axial and/or radial guidance.
Motor vehicle door lock
A motor vehicle door lock having a locking mechanism substantially comprising a rotary latch and pawl as locking mechanism components. In addition, at least one lever is implemented as a constituent part of an actuating and/or locking lever chain. The motor vehicle door lock also has at least one bearing pin for supporting the relevant locking mechanism component and/or the lever in a housing. Also provided is a bearing sleeve, which can be inserted into an opening in the locking mechanism component and/or the lever and is built up from at least two sleeve elements for the bearing pin. According to the invention, one sleeve element has a socket reaching through the opening. The socket engages in a substantially dimensionally stable manner in a plug receptacle of the other sleeve element.
Active pedestrian hood latch with dual function cam lever
A hood latch for a motor vehicle is provided. The hood latch includes a lift lever, a pawl, a ratchet, a control lever and an actuator. The control lever has a first cam surface and a second cam surface. The actuator is configured for actuation in response to a signal detected by a sensor. The actuator is actuatable in response to the signal to move into engagement with the control lever to bring the first cam surface into operable engagement with the pawl to move the pawl out of locked engagement with the ratchet, whereupon the second cam surface is brought into engagement with the lift lever to rotate the lift lever into engagement with a striker, fixed to a hood of the motor vehicle, to move the hood to a partially open state.
VEHICLE COMPARTMENT LATCH
Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, vehicles, and methods for managing operation of a latch securing a vehicle compartment hatch. In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes a primary latch that defines a slot configured to receive a striker extending from the hatch and is rotatable between a locked position where the slot is oriented to hold the striker to retain the hatch in a closed position and an unlocked position in which the slot is oriented to enable the striker to be withdrawn from the slot to permit opening of the hatch; and a secondary latch mechanism configured to be moved between: a first configuration configured to maintain the primary latch in the closed position; a second configuration configured to enable the striker to move within the slot to permit partial opening of the hatch; and a third configuration configured to enable the primary latch to rotate to the unlocked position.
DOOR LATCH DEVICE
A door latch device includes a restricting portion that locks a spring member and restricts swinging of a link toward the unlock position by the spring member when the link swings toward the lock position against a biasing force of the spring member by the action of an inertial force equal to or greater than a set value. The link includes a restriction release portion that moves at least a part of the spring member to release the locking to that restricting portion and releases the swinging restriction of the link when the swinging is restricted by the restricting portion and the link is moved from the retreated position to the advanced position by receiving the rotational force of an open lever.
