Expansion adjusting dual action door latch assembly
11359413 · 2022-06-14 · ·

A dual action latch, having a latch handle, an elongate bolt, a cam, a latch housing, and a biasing device, for installation on one side of door. The latch handle includes a lifting portion and a lever arm. The latch housing has a lever arm aperture through which the lever arm of the latch handle passes and a bolt guide for slidably receiving the elongate bolt. The latch handle is movably attached to the latch housing. With the latch handle moved, the lever arm withdraws the elongate bolt into the latch housing. Independently, when the cam is rotated by a separate handle on the other side the door, the cam plate likewise withdraws the elongate bolt into the latch housing.

DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM
20230250681 · 2023-08-10 ·

A door locking mechanism includes a main body, a trigger, and a slide lock. The slide lock and the main body are configured such that at least a portion of the slide lock extends outside of the main body in a locked position, with the slide lock being advanced into the main body as the slide lock transitions toward an unlocked position. A ball lock is in operative communication with the trigger and the slide lock, with the ball lock, the trigger, and the slide lock being configured such that when the trigger is in the extended position, the ball lock inhibits movement of the slide lock from the unlocked position toward the locked position. Movement of the trigger from an extended position toward a retracted position allows the ball lock to assume an unobstructed position allowing the slide lock to transition from toward the locked position.

LATCHING MECHANISM

A latching mechanism (1) for a drawer or door has handle (2) which is pulled towards a user when the latching mechanism is being opened and pushed away from the user when the latching mechanism is being closed. A latch (3) is moveable between an extended orientation and a retracted orientation; an oblique surface (4) on the latch (3) contacts an actuator (5) when handle (2) is pulled towards the user, forcing the latch (3) towards the retracted orientation; biasing means biases latch (3) towards the extended orientation; and link (7) connects handle (2) to the other parts of the latching mechanism. When installed, link (7) is installed over an edge of a drawer or door so that the handle is located on the front side of the door or drawer and the latch, actuator and biasing means are located on the rear side of the door or drawer.

Retrofit latch adapter

A retrofit latch adapter is configured to replace a pre-existing roller head latch assembly of a pre-existing exit device. The retrofit latch adapter may include a flat latch head that may provide additional security for a door compared with the pre-existing roller head pre-existing latch assembly. A method of installing such a retrofit latch adapter in a preexisting exist device may include rotationally releasing a pre-existing latch assembly having a roller latch head from the pre-existing exit device; rotating the pre-existing latch assembly to linearly decouple the pre-existing latch assembly from a transmission of the pre-existing exit device; removing the pre-existing latch assembly from the pre-existing exit device; rotating the retrofit latch adapter to linearly couple the retrofit latch adapter to the transmission of the pre-existing exit device; inserting the retrofit latch adapter at least partially into a housing of the pre-existing exit device; aligning the flat latch head with an uppermost portion of the housing of the pre-existing exit device; and rotationally securing the retrofit latch adapter to the pre-existing exit device.

BOX CONSTRUCTION LOCK
20230323706 · 2023-10-12 · ·

A box construction lock with a strike plate assembly is provided. The box construction lock includes a locking mechanism with a locking latch-bolt, located in a lock housing, so that in the lock locked position, the locking latch-bolt is at least partially in the strike plate assembly, and there is adjustment range between the lock housing and the locking mechanism of the lock housing, so that the lock housing has at least two positions relative to the locking mechanism.

Push-and-pull latch device
11643841 · 2023-05-09 · ·

The disclosure relates to a push-and-pull latch device including a housing, a latching component, a first elastic component, an inner-sleeve assembly, an inner-shaft component, a second elastic component and a third elastic component. The first elastic component abuts the latching component. The latching component engages an object through the housing. The inner-sleeve assembly is accommodated within the housing. The inner-shaft component is partially accommodated within the inner-sleeve assembly. The second elastic component is abutted between the inner-shaft component and the inner-sleeve assembly. The third elastic component includes a fixed portion connected to the inner-shaft component and an engaging end engaged with a guide groove of the inner-sleeve assembly. By driving the inner-shaft component to move the engaging end relative to the guide groove or move the inner-sleeve assembly relative to the housing, the relative positions between the components can be switched to provide the functions of opening and closing.
