Sliding door with emergency swing feature
A horizontally elongated rail is adapted to be mounted with respect to a door opening, and a door assembly is slideably mounted on the rail and is slideable along a generally vertical imaginary plane. The door assembly includes an upper section cooperating with the rail to provide for the slideable mounting of the door assembly on the rail, and a lower section pivotably attached to the upper section at an attached end thereof so as to be pivotable with respect to the upper section about a generally vertical axis from a closed position, in which the upper section and the lower section are generally co-planar, to an open position. A safety release has an engaged position, in which the lower section and the upper section are fixed in the closed position, and a disengaged position, in which the lower section is pivotable to the open position.
KNOB TO LATCH INTERFACE, METHOD OF INTERFACING A KNOB TO A ROTATABLE LATCH
According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a knob to latch interface includes a body, a latch in operable communication with the body movable between a latched position and an unlatched position, and a knob longitudinally positionable between a first position and a second position relative to the body and in operable communication with the latch, an outer radial extent of the knob being operationally engagable only while in one of the first position and the second position.
DOOR LOCK
A door lock includes a pivot base installed on a wall locate beside an openable door leaf; a holding unit connected to the pivot base; a guiding unit installed on the wall and located at one side of the holding unit for guiding the latter to move. When the door leaf is closed, the holding unit can be turned about the pivot base and along the guiding unit to a horizontal position for a free end to interfere with the door leaf, and a user can place personal articles on the holding unit. To open the door leaf, the user first takes back the personal articles before the holding unit can be turned and unlocked. Therefore, the door lock can lock a door leaf, hold a user's personal articles when locking the door leaf, and remind the user to take back the personal articles before opening the door leaf.
LOCKING COVER FOR CONSTRUCTION VAULT
A locking cover apparatus for construction vaults. The cover has a latch portion configured to rotate in a first and second direction when a threaded locking security bolt is rotated in the first and second direction respectively, and where the cover is locked from removal from the vault when the latch portion comes into contact with a first stop mechanism after rotating in the first direction and wherein the cover is unlocked when the latch portion comes into contact with a second stop mechanism after rotating in the second direction.
Rotary lever lock
A rotary latch closure comprising a housing with an actuating shaft which is mounted so as to be rotatable, but axially fixed therein. The rotary latch closure has, at its free end, a circumferential thread, at least one axially oriented flattened portion, and a rotary latch configured to be fitted to the free end of the shaft so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it in at least one rotational position and which is axially supported on a nut which can be screwed onto the circumferential thread. The nut is enclosed by a cage forming a laterally accessible space that is bounded by two walls, each of the two walls having a prismatic opening, wherein the opening allows the shaft to be slid through in a torsionally rigid manner.
SELF-STERILIZING DOOR HANDLE
Disclosed herein is an innovative self-sterilizing door handle. The innovation features various door handle shape embodiments where the grasping portion of the handle is made from light-guiding material capable of low attenuation of UVB and UVC light. UV light may be guided into the grasping portion by optical fibers extending from a source comprising an array of LEDs capable of emitting UVB or UVC light. The light source may be integrally formed as part of the door handle hardware. In addition, the surface of the grasping portion of the innovative self-sterilizing handle may be coated with nano-particulate metal oxides.
Securable Pet Door
A securable pet door is disclosed. The securable pet door may comprise at least one door, at least one knob, one or more windows, at least one frame, and/or at least one hinge. The knob may comprise a latch for secure closing. When the pet door comprises at least one hinge, the hinge(s) may be inserted into at least one hinge recess so that the door may be securely locked via at least one locking mechanism. The different elements of the securable pet door are configured to be oriented in a predetermined, securable, or customizable manner. The door is configured to open from, slide into, revolve within, or move in some other non-limiting equivalent way from or relative to the frame(s).
Lock assembly for bag
The present disclosure provides a lock assembly for a bag, wherein the bag has a bag body and a bag flap, the assembly comprising: a body-side sub-assembly secured to the bag body; and a flap-side sub-assembly secured to the bag flap, wherein the body-side sub-assembly comprises: a base member having a rear portion secured to the bag body, a pair of rotation members, each rotation member including an upper grip and a lower shaft extending from the upper grip, a rotation-force transfer mechanism configured to transfer a rotation force between the pair of rotation members, wherein the rotation-force transfer mechanism employs a belt.
Closure
In an exemplary embodiment, a door lock includes a locking latch which is rotatable to and fro between a locking position and an unlocking position; a locking holder that engages the locking latch in a locking position; and a stop that limits the rotational movement of the locking latch; wherein the stop is repositionable and provides different stop positions in different stop receptacles.
Lock
A lock comprising a housing assembly, an actuatable lock assembly and a locking shell assembly. The housing assembly has a cavity and a bore. The actuatable lock assembly is rotatable between a closed orientation and an open orientation, and includes an outer body and an inner body. The inner body has a knob and an elongated shaft with an axial pin that interfaces with a slot in the outer body. The locking shell assembly has a shell housing bore extending therethrough. A rear portion of the shell housing has a slot with a longitudinal first portion and a transverse second portion. The axial pin is slidably movable along the longitudinal first portion and slidably movable along the transverse second portion upon rotation of the inner body relative to the shell housing.
