Automatic lock-unlock door safety control
An electromechanical door supporting system for temporarily maintaining a door in an open position having: a) a housing with an electric motor in communication with a power source; b) a base plate sized to pass underneath a swinging door; c) the base plate extending away from the housing; d) the electric motor causing rotational movement in a rod extending from inside the housing, to outside the housing and over a surface of the base plate; e) a door supporting element extending perpendicular to the extended rod; and f) the door supporting element being attached to the extended rod at a proximal location and extending over the surface of the base plate to a distal end so that rotation of the extended rod causes the distal end of the door supporting element to elevate above the base plate to secure an opened door.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a lower unit including a recording unit that performs recording on a medium, and an upper unit including a reading unit that reads a document image, the upper unit being disposed above the lower unit and being configured to open and close with respect to the lower unit. The upper unit includes an arm that maintains an open state of the upper unit by being supported by the lower unit. The lower unit has a cam groove that receives a protrusion disposed on the arm and that has a route along which the protrusion moves in a certain direction when the upper unit opens or closes. A recess that the protrusion enters and that supports the protrusion from below is disposed in the cam groove and the open state of the upper unit is maintained by the protrusion entering the recess.
Vehicle door check
A door check for vehicle doors, e.g. car doors having a door strap for being mounted to the chassis and a retainer for being mounted to the door movably and supporting the door strap relative to the retainer and provides a particular precise control over the door movement if the retainer has a cylinder supporting a piston which is spring loaded against the door strap and if an actuator is configured to augment the pressure in the cylinder upon demand to thereby augment the friction between the piston and the door strap.
MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING DOOR CHECK MECHANISM
This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle having a door check mechanism. An example motor vehicle includes a door pivotable between fully open and fully closed positions, and a door check mechanism including a bar having a helical groove and at least one check hold recess along the helical groove.

Device and process to dampen vibration in multi-rod configurations
A hold open rod includes an inner member; an outer member configured to have the inner member slide in and out of the outer member; and a noncircular dampening member arranged on the inner member. The noncircular dampening member being configured to dampen movement of at least one of the following: the inner member and the outer member.

Check link assembly and a vehicle that utilizes the check link assembly
A check link assembly includes a link movable between a first position and a second position. Furthermore, a vehicle includes the check link assembly. The check link assembly also includes a braking apparatus coupled to the link. The braking apparatus includes a brake member movable between an applied position and a released position. The brake member is configured to apply a force to the link when the brake member is in the applied position. The brake member is configured to release the link when the brake member is in the released position.
