VEHICLE WITH VERTICAL LIFT HOOD
A vehicle having a front trunk and a method of controlling a vehicle to access the trunk may include raising a hood from a closed position adjacent body structure to a fully open position with the hood oriented horizontally to provide access to a front trunk, raising a grille with the hood; and pivoting the grille about a hinge affixed to the hood. Front trunk lighting and bins maybe included in the vehicle.
SELF REGULATING COUNTERBALANCE MECHANISM WITH FRICTION
A friction based counterbalance mechanism for coupling with a closure panel of a vehicle, the counterbalance mechanism including: a housing having a first pivot mount for connecting to one of a body of the vehicle and the closure panel; an extension member coupled to the housing and being extendable and retractable with respect to the housing, the extension member for connecting by a second pivot mount to the other of the body and the closure panel; a variable friction mechanism mounted in the housing having: a shaft having an axis; a washer positioned on the axis; a pinion with a friction body positioned on the shaft and adjacent to the washer, the pinion rotatable about the axis relative to the washer during rotation of the shaft to generate friction between the washer and the friction body; and a slider body positioned on the axis.
THROW LOCK ASSEMBLIES, THROW BOLT ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS FOR ASSEMBLING AND USING SAME
A lock assembly comprising a throw bolt, a bolt holder and a bolt keeper. The bolt comprises a cutting barrier and a bolt casing, the bolt casing being more corrosion-resistant than the cutting barrier, and the cutting barrier being more abrasion-resistant that the bolt casing. When assembled, the cutting barrier will be enclosed within the bolt casing.
Cable Release System for a Hold Open Rod Mechanism
A cable release system configured to unlock a hold open rod mechanism or latch mechanism includes an actuator having a handle and a cable attachment. The cable release system also includes a cable connected at one end to the actuator and at another end to an unlocking mechanism associated with the hold open rod mechanism or the latch mechanism. The cable release system also includes the actuator being configured to move the cable and operate the unlocking mechanism associated with the hold open rod mechanism or the latch mechanism. The cable release system also includes the actuator and the handle being configured to be moved by personnel to move the cable and operate the unlocking mechanism associated with the hold open rod mechanism or the latch mechanism. The cable release system also includes the cable attachment including a lower slide and a release slide.
CASEMENT WINDOW OPERATOR
A window operator for repositioning a window sash within a window frame. The window operator includes a crank handle for rotating a shaft with a pinion gear. The pinion gear operably engages with a rack containing cutouts, the rack having oppositely disposed first and second ends. The rack is translatable within a track disposed within the window frame. The window operator also includes an operator arm connectable between a first end of the rack and the sash wherein rotation of the shaft by the handle imparts movement to the rack and the operator arm, the rack and operator arm movement capable of transitioning the sash between a window open and a window closed position.
Vertical lift door for vehicles
A door of a vehicle, such as a side-by-side utility vehicle, opens vertically about a door pivot. Opening of the door is facilitated by an actuator that secures to the door behind the door pivot. The actuator may also secure to a door frame behind the door pivot. The door may have a range of motion such that at least a portion of the door is positioned forward of the door pivot when opened. The actuator may be a gas spring that may include damping. The actuator may be mounted between panels of the door and may extend through a slot defined by the door to secure to the door frame.

Device and process to dampen vibration in multi-rod configurations
A hold open rod includes an inner member; an outer member configured to have the inner member slide in and out of the outer member; and a noncircular dampening member arranged on the inner member. The noncircular dampening member being configured to dampen movement of at least one of the following: the inner member and the outer member.

Door holding device and safety system
A door holding device and system is disclosed that holds a door in a partially open configuration. The door holding device includes a first arm assembly that attaches to a door frame, a second arm assembly that attaches to a door, a movable clamping mechanism that clamps the first arm assembly to the door frame, and a pivot device that allows the first arm assembly and the second arm assembly pivot with respect to each other.
