Door holding device and safety system
A door holding device and system is disclosed that holds a door in a partially open configuration. The door holding device includes a first arm assembly that attaches to a door frame, a second arm assembly that attaches to a door, a movable clamping mechanism that clamps the first arm assembly to the door frame, and a pivot device that allows the first arm assembly and the second arm assembly pivot with respect to each other.
TELESCOPIC ASSEMBLY WITH LOCKING DEVICE IN RETRACTED CONFIGURATION
Telescopic assembly with locking device in retracted configuration A telescopic assembly (10) includes: a first (12) and a second (14) body; the second body comprising a rod capable of sliding into the first body between extended and retracted configurations; and a device (18) for locking in the retracted configuration. The locking device includes a ferrule (60) positioned on the rod, the ferrule comprising an internal stop (80) and the first tubular body comprising a counter-stop (34), capable of cooperating to lock the first tubular body and the ferrule. The ferrule is locked in translation relative to the second body (14) and rotatable around said second body, between an unlocked position, allowing the sliding of the second body into the first body (12), and a locked position retaining the second body in the retracted configuration.

Vehicle door positioning holder
A vehicle door positioning holder includes a hydraulic cylinder connected to the door and a vehicle chassis, and a brake hydraulically connected in a loop. The cylinder pushes hydraulic fluid in the loop when the door is moved. The brake includes first and second chambers hydraulically connected to the loop and a third chamber connected in the loop at respective ends to the first and second chambers. The brake has a ball element in the third chamber when the hydraulic fluid is still, moved towards the first chamber as the hydraulic fluid flows in a first direction, and moved towards the second chamber as the hydraulic fluid flows in a second direction. A flow resistance of the hydraulic fluid is larger when the ball is positioned in the third chamber than when the ball is moved towards the first or the second chambers.
VEHICLE DOOR OPENING/CLOSING APPARATUS
The present invention prevents or suppresses a grommet from detaching from a ball socket. The grommet that has a cover for covering a harness led and extended outside a cap of the ball socket is configured by including a boot part that covers the harness inside the cap and that is formed into a bottomed cylindrical shape opened to an electric motor side, a connection cylindrical part that is disposed inside a harness insertion hole that connects the boot part and the cover and in which the harness is inserted, and a falling-out prevention part that is formed in the boot part that engages the cap and that restricts the movement of the boot part toward the harness insertion hole side.
VARIABLE POSITION VEHICLE HOOD STAY DEVICE
A hood stay device for a vehicle includes a housing, support, and latch. A proximal end of the housing is pivotably coupled to the hood or vehicle body. An inner end of the support is within the housing. The support extends through a distal end of the housing to an outer end of the support that is pivotably coupled to the other one of the hood or vehicle body. The support is slidable relative to the housing along an axis and includes teeth arranged in a rack along the axis. The latch is coupled to the housing and movable between locked and unlocked positions relative thereto. When in the locked position, the latch engages the teeth to inhibit movement of the support member along the axis. When in the unlocked position, the latch is apart from the teeth to permit movement of the support along the axis.
Lift assist lock assembly and locking method
An exemplary assembly includes a cylinder, a piston, and a lock. The lock is transitionable between an unlocked position that permits extension and retraction of the piston relative to the cylinder, and a locked position that limits retraction of the piston relative to the cylinder. The lock is blocked from transitioning from the locked to the unlocked position when a load supported by the piston exceeds a threshold load. An exemplary method includes transitioning a lock from an unlocked to a locked position. The lock in the unlocked position permits extension and retraction of a piston relative to a cylinder. The lock in the locked position limits retraction of the piston relative to the cylinder. The method further includes holding the lock in the locked position using a load supported by the piston that exceeds a threshold load.

HOLDER FOR A DOOR OR CASEMENT
The present invention relates to a holder for at least one of a door and a casement. The at least one of the door and the casement is hingedly connected to a frame. The holder includes an elongate member assembly moveable from a retracted position to an extended position. The elongate member assembly has a pair of spaced-apart ends. The holder includes a pair of clamp assemblies pivotally connected to respective ones of the ends of the elongate member assembly. The clamp assemblies are configured to selectively couple with the frame and the at least one of the door and the casement.
