The present invention is a door barricade having a pivoting locking arm which drops into a floor hole to lock a barricade in place.

Toothed holding brake for a vehicle door and method for operating a toothed holding brake

A toothed holding brake for a vehicle door has a shaft, an armature plate, a magnet device and a detection device. The armature plate has a first and second main surfaces arranged opposite one another, wherein an armature-plate toothed rim having a plurality of armature teeth is arranged on the second main surface. The armature plate is arranged in a locking position such that the armature teeth mesh in the carry-along teeth to prevent rotation of the shaft in at least one direction, and is arranged in a release position such that the armature teeth are arranged at a distance from the carry-along teeth to enable rotation of the shaft in both directions. The magnet device has a magnet main surface arranged facing the armature plate, wherein the magnet device is designed to move the armature plate between the locking position and the release position.

The present disclosure generally relates a stop apparatus for use with a system comprising: a first component having a first surface; and a second component having a second surface. The second component is movable relative to the first component. The first surface and the second surface are disposed at different orientations when the first surface is located in proximity to the second surface. The stop apparatus is operable to be disposed between the two surfaces and operable to prevent them directly contacting each other. The apparatus may comprise an elongated body and an adjustable setting mount assembly inter-connected to the body. The mount assembly is operable to selectively adjust the angle at which the body is mounted relative to the first mounting surface over a range of angles.

An auxiliary lock for preventing a hinged door from opening all the way is provided. The lock comprises a strike plate, a flip lock plate, a catching member to receive a door knob or handle, and a means for connecting the catching member and flip lock plate. In an embodiment, the strike plate may be configured to replace any standard strike plate disposed on an inside portion of a door jamb, and the flap lock plate may longitudinally extend from a hinged connection with strike plate in the direction of an opening door so as to optionally block the door from opening and avoid obstructing a swinging door when disengaged. In use, the catching member may be placed around the door knob or handle so that the means for connecting the catching member and flip lock plate form an inseparable link between the door jamb and door itself.
