Hinge and refrigerator having the same

The present invention provides a hinge and a refrigerator having the same. The hinge has a fixing plate, a supporting plate perpendicularly connected with the fixing plate, and a hinge shaft perpendicularly mounted on the supporting plate to cooperate with a shaft sleeve, wherein the outside of the hinge shaft is plastic-encapsulated with a plastic encapsulating case, the plastic encapsulating case is provided with a protrusion protruding horizontally outwards along the extension direction of the supporting plate, and the protrusion is integrally formed with the plastic encapsulating case.

Door hinge for a laundry appliance having a sheet metal hinge and an integrated rotation limiting device

An appliance includes an outer cabinet having a front aperture for accessing a processing space. A door selectively engages the front aperture in a closed position to enclose the processing space. A hinge includes a cabinet mount attached to the outer cabinet and having a stop that defines an open position of the door. A hinge pin extends through the cabinet mount to define a rotational axis of the hinge. A sheet metal flange is press fit onto the hinge pin and is fixedly attached to the door. The sheet metal flange is wrapped around the hinge pin and is attached to the door via fasteners. The pin includes a protrusion that selectively engages the stop of the cabinet mount in the open position.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CO-PRINTED OR CONCURRENTLY ASSEMBLED HINGE STRUCTURES

Systems and methods of co-printing a unitary hinge are provided. The unitary hinge may be co-printed using an additive manufacturing process. The unitary hinge includes a hinge pin that is substantially cylindrical in shape. The unitary hinge also includes a knuckle which surrounds a portion of the hinge pin and is configured to be manipulated about the hinge pin. The hinge pin is fabricated in situ with the knuckle such that further assembly is unnecessary. The unitary hinge may also include retention mechanism to retain the hinge within the knuckle without substantially restricting the knuckle from being rotated about the hinge pin. The unitary hinge may further be configured with a fluid port which may, for example, be used to provide a lubricant to an area between the hinge pin and the knuckle or to vacuum powder material or debris from the area.

A furniture connector connects two or more pieces of furniture together or may connect furniture to a wall, embodied, for example, as an adjustable room partition or modular storage unit. The furniture connector has a first spoke and a second spoke, which may be connected to a furniture piece or wall via respective locking mechanisms. The first and second spokes are joined by a pin, along a longitudinal axis of the pin. The connector allows the positions of two attached furniture pieces (or a furniture piece and a wall) to be adjusted about the longitudinal axis at a variety of discrete angles; once set to a desired angle, the connector limits the relative rotational movement of the first spoke and second spoke (about the longitudinal axis.) Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
