VEHICLE HINGE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A HINGE HALF FOR A VEHICLE HINGE
A vehicle hinge, in particular for use for pivotable vehicle hinged closure elements, includes a first hinge half (2) having at least one first hinge half part (3); a second hinge half (10); and a hinge pin (18), which connects the first hinge half (2) and the second hinge half (10) in an articulated manner. The hinge pin (18) is mounted in an articulated manner in one of the first hinge half (2) and the second hinge half (10) and can be fastened in a rotational fixed manner to the other of the first hinge half (2) and the second hinge half (10). A retaining ring (21) penetrated by a retaining portion of the hinge pin (18) is arranged between the first hinge half (2) and the second hinge half (10). The retaining ring (21) is fastened, by a central hole, on the retaining portion of the hinge pin (18) by a press fit.
AUTOMOTIVE LIFT-OFF HINGE WITH INTEGRATED DOOR CHECK
An automotive lift-off hinge joint to rotationally connect an automotive door and body comprises first and second door side hinge brackets and a body side hinge bracket. A detent shaft is provided with an interiorly threaded intermediate portion adapted to receive a removable threaded fastener and with a shaped detent shaft feature adapted to engage a similarly shaped pyramidal portion of a guide pin fastened to the body side hinge bracket. The detent shaft is rotationally mounted within a cylindrical check mechanism and secured in relation to the first and second door side hinge brackets. Bushings in door side hinge bracket apertures allow rotation of portions of the detent shaft extending through the apertures. The pyramidal shaped portions are preferably square.
Hinge and methods of mounting and using a hinge
A hinge permitting a gate to rotate approximately 180 degrees in either direction. The hinge includes first, second, third, and fourth hinge members and first, second, third, and fourth crossbars. The first, second, third, and fourth crossbars form an interpivoting connection with the first, second, third, and fourth hinge members.
Garage door noise reduction roller assembly having threads which extend to the distal end of the roller shaft, and a threaded closing member
A roller with a plastic injection tube to coat the steel shaft wherein the plastic coated shaft eliminates the metal-to-metal contact that creates the noise. Further disclosed is an improved roller wheel having a tire made of material selected from the group consisting of urethane and urethane (PER) on which the roller will roll within a garage door track to significantly reduce the noise of the roller as it rolls inside the garage door tracks as the garage door is raised and lowered. The roller shaft has the treads extending to a distal end of the roller shaft where a plastic washer and a closing cover nut with interior threads are threaded onto the distal end of the roller shaft. The closing cover nut with interior threads is selected from an acorn nut with a nylon insert and a hex lock nut with a nylon insert.
Automotive door hinge
A method of assembling a vehicle door hinge that includes providing a first bracket comprising a single pivot arm extending transversely from a base of the first bracket, wherein a first pivot axis hole is disposed in the single pivot arm of the first bracket; providing a second bracket comprising a single pivot arm extending transversely from a base of the second bracket, wherein a cylindrical bearing of a pivot bushing is disposed in a second pivot axis hole disposed in the single pivot arm of the second bracket; and coupling a pivot pin to the pivot bushing and the first and second brackets to rotatably couple the first and second brackets together by press fitting a knurled cylindrical surface of the pivot pin with a receiving surface of the single pivot arm of the first bracket that defines the first pivot axis hole, wherein a shoulder of the pivot pin that is adjacent to the knurled cylindrical surface is disposed within a bore of the pivot pin and the second pivot axis hole.
Device for repairing and reinforcing pivot pin support for doors and related methods
A device for repairing and reinforcing a pivot pin support of a door panel. The device has bracket and a tubular post extending upwardly from a surface of the bracket. The bracket has a through-hole and the tubular post has a bore concentric with the through-hole.
Hinge and methods of mounting and using a hinge
A hinge permitting a gate to rotate approximately 180 degrees in either direction. The hinge includes first, second, third, and fourth hinge members and first, second, third, and fourth cross bars. The first, second, third, and fourth cross bars form an interpivoting connection with the first, second, third, and fourth hinge members.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF VEHICLE DOOR HINGE AND VEHICLE
A vehicle door hinge that has a desorption function while enabling weight reduction and increasing production efficiency. The vehicle door hinge comprises a base member (2U) fixed to the door-side of the vehicle, a base member (3U) fixed to the vehicle body side; a hinge shaft (4U) rotatably connects the base members (2U, 3U) to each other; a screwed body (5U) that is detachably screwed in the axial direction to the hinge shaft (4U) so that the base member (3U) and the hinge shaft (4U) rotate integrally; bushes (6U, 7U) fitted into a shaft holes (22U) of the base member (2U) so that the base member (2U) and the hinge shaft can rotate relative to each other; and a retaining portion (8U) for preventing the hinge shaft (4U) from coming off from the shaft hole (22U) of the base member. The base members (2U, 3U) are cast from aluminum alloy.
System and method for installing a transparent organic lighting diode (TOLED) display on architectural glass
A system and method for removable or semi-permanent installation of a TOLED display are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a TOLED display that includes a TOLED panel coupled to a cover glass. The system further includes a top hinge assembly and a bottom hinge assembly used to rotatably couple the TOLED display to a support structure to facilitate rotation of the TOLED display to different positions and to provide relatively easy removal of the TOLED assembly.
