Geared hinge with removable access panel

A door hinge includes first and second leaves each with a plate portion, a free edge and an opposite geared edge, the geared edges meshing with each other as the leaves operationally pivot. Each leaf has a front surface and an opposite back surface. A cap covers the meshed geared edges on the back surface and defines a pivot axis for each of the leaves, the cap defining a channel A recess is provided in the front surface of each leaf, the recesses being in communication with the channel, each recess defining a break in the geared edges. First and second access panels are removably secured in the recesses, having a geared panel edge complementary with the leaf geared edge and filling the break, and at least one of the access panels being secured to the respective hinge leaf by security fasteners extending only into the leaf.

CHILD TOILET SEAT ASSEMBLY

A child toilet seat assembly includes a base member configured to be coupled to an adult toilet seat assembly having an adult toilet seat and a lid pivotably coupled to a hinge post. The child toilet seat assembly also includes a child toilet seat coupled to the base member via a hinge joint. The hinge joint enables the child toilet seat to pivot about a pivot axis between an operating position and a storage position. The hinge joint also enables the child toilet seat to move along a translational axis between a locked state inhibiting movement of the child toilet seat relative to the base member and an unlocked state allowing movement of the child toilet seat relative to the base member.

Door hinges

Door hinges are disclosed that are configured to allow operators to hold a door in an open position at specific and desired angles (and for such specific and desired angles to be easily and quickly modulated by an operator). In addition, the door hinges are configured to allow an operator to easily and quickly establish a maximum angle by which the hingeand its attached doorare allowed to be opened, i.e., how wide the hinge and door are allowed to open (which also may be easily and quickly modulated by an operator).

FOLDING JOINT FOR REAR VIEW DISPLAY DEVICE
20190176704 · 2019-06-13 ·

A folding joint for attaching a rear view device includes a first hinge section, a second hinge section, the first and second hinge sections being adapted to rotate relative to each other around an axis of rotation, at least one detent or recessed surface including two depressions or recesses, a spring biased cam section which is adapted to interact with the at least one detent or recessed surface for adjustably locking the rotational movement of the first and second hinge sections relative to each other, a hinge pin at least in part coinciding with the axis of rotation, the hinge pin being adapted to rotatably connect the first and second hinge sections, and including a guide pin extending essentially perpendicularly from the hinge pin, and a spring biased clamping bolt arranged on the guide pin.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator includes a main body having a storage compartment; a first door rotatably provided to open and close the storage compartment; a hinge member coupled to a lower portion of the first door and configured to support the first door to allow the first door to be rotatable; a second door provided below the hinge member, wherein the second door includes a door body and a door trim protruding from the door body toward the hinge member, the hinge member includes a main body coupler and a door supporter, and a bottom surface of the door supporter includes a base surface and a recessed surface. The recessed surface is recessed from the base surface to compensate for a height difference between an upper surface of the door trim and an upper surface of the door body.

SILENT SPRING HINGE

The present invention relates to the technical field of spring hinges, and to a silent spring hinge, which addresses the technical shortcoming that relatively high noise is generated when an existing spring hinge used in a household appliance drives a cabinet door to close. The silent spring hinge includes a fixing base, a hinge arm and a spring assembly, a damping assembly corresponding to a side edge of a rotating wheel being further provided on the fixing base, the damping assembly including a sleeve body, a steel ball, a spring and a lock nut, an outer wall of the sleeve body being snap-fitted on the fixing base, the steel ball, the spring and the lock nut being mounted within the sleeve body in sequence, a portion of the steel ball being exposed from the sleeve body and being elastically connected to the side edge of the rotating wheel, and a deceleration groove and a self-locking groove mated with the steel ball at a final stage of the process of closing a cabinet door being provided on a gear edge of the rotating wheel. By means of the present invention, the closing speed of the cabinet door is effectively reduced, and an effect of damping is achieved, such that the cabinet door is closed in a more stable manner, and a force of the spring assembly is not affected after the spring assembly drives the cabinet door to close. The present invention is particularly suitable for use on such products as ovens and microwave ovens.

Closure device and self-closing pivot hinge

Self-closing pivot hinges and devices such as doors for closing off an opening between two rooms or in a building fa?ade using such hinges include a spring that extends into a hinge housing along the longitudinal direction of the hinge housing, which lends a self-closing function, and a cam element and a ball that is pressed against the cam element by the spring. The cam element is shaped so that it creates support positions in which the ball rests.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR HINGES FOR DUAL SCREEN DEVICES
20190146561 · 2019-05-16 ·

Technologies for hinges on mobile compute devices with dual screens are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, the mobile compute device with two housings each having a display are connected to each other by a hinge with elliptical spur gears that allow for one housing with a display to be rotated 360 degrees relative to the other housing. The elliptical shape of the spur gears allows the separation between the gears to change as one housing is rotated and, in particular, allows a smaller separation between the gears in certain configurations of the mobile compute device. The illustrative hinge includes a mechanical linkage system that allows the hinge to expand and contract as one housing is rotated.

BENDABLE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND SUPPORTING DEVICE
20190112852 · 2019-04-18 ·

A bendable display apparatus includes two supporting devices and a bendable display mounted on the two supporting devices. Each supporting device includes a dual-shaft driving module and two buffering modules respectively arranged at two opposite outer sides of the dual-shaft driving module. The dual-shaft driving module includes two shafts parallel to each other and a synchronizing member sandwiched between the two shafts. Each buffering module includes an internal connecting member fixed on the synchronizing member, an external connecting member slidably disposed on the internal connecting member, and a linkage mechanism configured to be driven by the synchronizing shaft for moving the external connecting member relative to the internal connecting member. When the dual-shaft driving modules are rotated, the bendable display is bent while a length of the bendable display remains constant, and each external connecting member is moved relative to the corresponding internal connecting member.
