Quick release door roller assembly
12098580 · 2024-09-24 ·

An improved vertical lift door roller assembly has a wheel pivotally mounted to a shaft. The shaft is placed within a spring loaded locking cylinder. The locking cylinder is movable between a first position where it restricts pivoting of the wheel and a second position where the wheel is able to pivot. The door roller assembly is mountable to a support a vertical lift door, such as a bracket or a hinge. The roller wheel can be pivoted to decouple the roller from a vertical lift door wheel track and to reseat the wheel in the track.

GARAGE DOOR SYSTEM

A garage door assembly includes at least one track and a first panel and a second panel that are movable along the at least one track. The first panel and the second panel are connected by a hinge. The first panel and the second panel each have a first end portion including a planar surface, a recess defined in the planar surface, and a rail extending from a trough of the recess, the rail having a height that is less than a depth of the recess. A channel member is secured to the rail of the first panel. The channel member extends beyond the planar surface of the first panel and is configured to receive the rail of the second panel.

GARAGE DOOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Provided are door systems having a plurality of door panels and a frame, the door panels being movable between an extended position closing an opening in a building structure, and a folded retracted position. When in the extended position, the door panels interlock with each other forming a barrier to wind, dirt, dust and insects. The frame is movably attached to the building structure and when the door panels are in the extended position, the frame moves and engages the door panels with a sealing member to provide an airtight seal of the opening in the building structure.

Overhead Garage Door System With Sealing Feature

An overhead garage door opening and closing system for a building structure having a track system comprising a pair of spaced apart tracks; a plurality of hinged door panels hingedly connected together to form the door; a plurality of track wheel assemblies disposed at said door panels, wherein each of said plurality of track wheel assembly comprises a shaft and a wheel rotatably mounted at said shaft and rotatable about an axis of rotation of said wheel, and wherein said door panels move along said tracks via rolling engagement of said wheels of said track wheel assemblies with said tracks as said door panels move between an opened position and a closed position; wherein said track wheel assemblies, when disposed at said door panels, are configured to allow for movement of the respective door panel relative to said wheels in a direction generally normal to said axes of rotation of said wheels and generally normal to a direction of travel of said wheels along said tracks; a door moving assembly that functions to move each of said door panels toward the building structure when the door is moved toward and to its closed position; and wherein, when said door moving assembly moves said door panels toward the building structure as the door closes, said door panels move relative to said wheels and toward the building structure and away from said axes of rotation and said wheels at said track.

The invention comprises a double roller garage door panel hinge and method for same. The hinge comprises a first hinge half and a second hinge half that are removably and pivotally connected to each other by a clasp formed by the second hinge half; the first hinge half further comprises a first half hinge base that supports a first roller support tube up and away from a first half hinge base, the first roller support tube rotatably supports a first garage door roller; the second hinge half further comprises a second half hinge base that supports a second roller support tube up and over the second half hinge base, the second roller support tube rotatably supports a second garage door roller; wherein the first hinge half is attached to first garage door panel and the second half hinge is attached to an adjacent garage door panel.

Integrated bracket assembly with head stop for overhead doors
12480345 · 2025-11-25 · ·

A bracket assembly for overhead roll-up doors includes a bracket body, and a head stop extending from the bracket body. The head stop is configured to limit travel of a roll-up door. The head stop includes perforated sections that create a hinge line in the material, allowing bending or rotation relative to the bracket body. The perforated sections include small, precisely spaced holes enabling the head stop to bend or fold into position. The bracket body and head stop form a gap at their intersection, creating a natural hinge point for bending the head stop. The head stop includes punched holes for attaching to vertical guides and additional head stops. The bracket body includes a bracket opening to receive an axle, a bracket stop cap, a tensioning drive, and guide tabs. The bracket body integrating the head stop reduces installation complexity and improves reliability compared to traditional separate component configurations.

Pivoting garage door

A door assembly provides a one-piece, swing up door panel known as a California-type garage door, with a mid-height pivot axis travelling vertically during operation of the door. The rotational motion of the door is caused by a follower riding in a slot of a plate, with the follower being offset relative to the pivot axis and fixed relative to the door panel. The slot places forces on the follower during motion of the door panel between the door-closed position and the door-opened position, with the offset causing the forces to act as moments rotationally accelerating and rotationally decelerating the door between the door-closed position and the door-opened position. The slot preferably has a start non-rotational portion and an end non-rotational portion during which the door panel translates vertically without pivoting of the door panel, as well as different intermediate portions which have different rotational speeds.

STACKING SCREEN DOOR

A stacking screen door has two rails and multiple door panels. Each one of the rails has a groove, a conductive bar, and an elastic assembly. The conductive bar is movably located in the groove. The elastic assembly is connected to the conductive bar and the groove, and is configured to push the conductive bar out of the groove. The door panels selectively move along the two rails and are sequentially connected vertically to each other in the rail. Each one of the door panels has two electric assemblies and multiple display screens. Each one of the display screens is electrically connected to the two electric assemblies. When each one of the door panels moves along the two rails, each one of electric assemblies is respectively connected to the conductive bar. Therefore, power can be supplied to the display screens.
