A roller with a Delrin plastic injection to coat the steel shaft wherein the plastic coated shaft eliminates the metal-to-metal contact that creates the noise. The new and improved Delrin plastic coated shaft will be limn larger than industry standard shafts because 10-11 mm industry standard shafts are too loose in the hinge barrels which allows the rattling. This improved roller shaft is 12 mm at finished thickness to reduce the extra space. Closing the gap between the roller shaft and hinge barrel will eliminate the metal-to-metal contact resulting in a very quiet, rolling garage door. By keeping the finished thickness at 12 mm on the new shaft, the roller will still work on new and old garage door hinges and fixtures. This makes the new and improved roller shaft a truly universal product that will work on 90% of garage doors in service and almost all new models. This is a long over-due improvement to garage door rollers.

An addition to reduce noise made by a garage door hinge by incorporating two Delrin or hard plastic injection molded washers placed between the two halves of the hinges and slide it over the hinge barrel. This provides a friction reducing pivot point and holds in lubricant. An additional improvement is to hold the barrel in place and reduce the problem of the barrel moving side to side. The improvement will stop or at least significantly reduce the extra noise of the garage door hinge as the garage door moves and provide smoother operation of the hinge.

A door, in particular a roll-up door, having a curtain that can be moved between a closed position in which it is arranged, at least in sections, approximately in a plane and an open position in which it is wound, preferably at least in sections, on a winding shaft, said curtain having at least one thermally insulating region such as an insulating body, preferably made of PE form. The insulating region is formed by a pocket bordered at least partially by strip-shaped, deformable reinforcing layers, in particular made of plastics, particularly preferably made of PVC.

An overhead garage door opening and closing system for a building structure having a track system comprising a pair of spaced apart tracks; a plurality of hinged door panels hingedly connected together to form the door; a plurality of track wheel assemblies disposed at said door panels, wherein each of said plurality of track wheel assembly comprises a shaft and a wheel rotatably mounted at said shaft and rotatable about an axis of rotation of said wheel, and wherein said door panels move along said tracks via rolling engagement of said wheels of said track wheel assemblies with said tracks as said door panels move between an opened position and a closed position; wherein said track wheel assemblies, when disposed at said door panels, are configured to allow for movement of the respective door panel relative to said wheels in a direction generally normal to said axes of rotation of said wheels and generally normal to a direction of travel of said wheels along said tracks; a door moving assembly that functions to move each of said door panels toward the building structure when the door is moved toward and to its closed position; and wherein, when said door moving assembly moves said door panels toward the building structure as the door closes, said door panels move relative to said wheels and toward the building structure and away from said axes of rotation and said wheels at said track.

A door, in particular a roll-up door, having a curtain that can be moved between a closed position in which it is arranged, at least in sections, approximately in a plane and an open position in which it is wound, preferably at least in sections, on a winding shaft, said curtain having at least one thermally insulating region such as an insulating body, preferably made of PE form. The insulating region is formed by a pocket bordered at least partially by strip-shaped, deformable reinforcing layers, in particular made of plastics, particularly preferably made of PVC.

In example a panel for an overhead sectional door is provided. The panel includes a laminate core, a laminate skin, and a universal fabric hinge. The laminate skin is coupled to two opposing sides of the laminate core. The universal fabric hinge is coupled to the laminate skin to connect the panel to an adjacent panel of the overhead sectional door.

A system for interconnecting multiple panel assemblies comprising a first bracketing body having a first bearing member and at least one planar member; a second bracketing body having a second bearing member pivotally engaged with the first bearing member and at least one planar member; a third bracketing body having at least one planar member; a fourth bracketing body having at least one planar member; a first panel receiving volume at least partially defined by the at least one planar member of the first and third bracketing bodies; a second panel receiving volume at least partially defined by the at least one planar members of the second and fourth bracketing bodies; and wherein the at least one planar members of the second and fourth bracketing bodies at least Partially define a second panel receiving volume. According to another aspect of the present invention, a first thermal insulating body is positioned between and separates the first and third bracketing bodies, and a second thermal insulating body positioned between and separates the second and fourth bracketing bodies. According to yet another aspect of the present invention, a fastenerless connection is provided between surfaces of the system and the panel assemblies.

A system for interconnecting multiple panel assemblies comprising a first bracketing body having a first bearing member and at least one planar member; a second bracketing body having a second bearing member pivotally engaged with the first bearing member and at least one planar member; a third bracketing body having at least one planar member; a fourth bracketing body having at least one planar member; a first panel receiving volume at least partially defined by the at least one planar member of the first and third bracketing bodies; a second panel receiving volume at least partially defined by the at least one planar members of the second and fourth bracketing bodies; and wherein the at least one planar members of the second and fourth bracketing bodies at least partially define a second panel receiving volume. According to another aspect of the present invention, a first thermal insulating body is positioned between and separates the first and third bracketing bodies, and a second thermal insulating body positioned between and separates the second and fourth bracketing bodies. According to yet another aspect of the present invention, a fastenerless connection is provided between surfaces of the system and the panel assemblies.

The present disclosure provides a barrier operator system in which a remotely located transceiver type controller is in wireless communication with a transceiver type adapter connected to a barrier operator, and in electronic communication with the barrier operator's microcontroller. The controller is operable to wirelessly transmit door operator status inquiries to the adapter. This may be effected automatically in connection with the transmission and receipt by the adapter of door toggle commands or separate and apart from same. The status information is wirelessly transmitted by the adapter in broadcast form without source or destination address to the remote device in a signal that is non-addressed broadcast door operator (and, indirectly, door) status information by relying upon the receipt of the message by the remote within the specific time limit of the reception window of the remote.

A hinge for a multi-panel door includes a first bracket, a second bracket pivotally coupled to the first bracket, and a carrier link carrying a roller adapted to engage in a door track. The first bracket is adapted to be operably attached to a first panel of the multi-panel door, the second bracket is adapted to be operably attached to second panel of the multi-panel door, and the carrier link is pivotally attached to one of the first bracket or the second bracket. The carrier link is selectively positionable in a plurality of pre-defined positions, such that at each of the pre-defined positions, the roller is disposed at a different position relative to the first bracket and the second bracket so that the roller can be spaced apart a variety of different distances from the door.
