DOOR CLOSER ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
Certain embodiments relate to an adjustment indicator mechanism for a door closer including a tubular portion and an adjustment screw mounted to the tubular portion. A housing is configured for mounting to the door closer, and includes a channel and indicia adjacent the channel, each of the indicia corresponding to a respective size of the door closer. An adjustment transmission includes a first component configured for coupling with the adjustment screw. An indicator transmission is engaged with the adjustment transmission and mounted in the housing. An indicator is movably mounted to the housing such that a portion of the indicator is visible via the channel. The indicator is engaged with the indicator transmission such that movement of the indicator transmission causes the indicator to selectively align with the indicia to thereby indicate the current size of the door closer.
Wall of a furniture carcass, method for producing such a wall, and furniture carcass or furniture comprising such a wall
A wall for a furniture carcass has a panel-type core arranged between two laterally positioned cover layers. The core has a cut-out extending at least along one section of an end face of the wall and is used to receive a fitting that guides a movable furniture part. The fitting rests at least against one of the cover layers.
Electromechanical strut with electromechanical brake and method of allowing and preventing movement of a closure member of a vehicle
An electromechanical strut and method of moving a closure member of a vehicle between an open position and a closed position is provided. The electromechanical strut includes a power drive unit including a motor, a leadscrew, a planetary gearset operably connecting the motor to the leadscrew, and an electromechanical brake assembly. The electromechanical strut further includes a telescoping unit including an extensible tube and a drive nut for converting rotary motion of the leadscrew into linear motion of the telescoping unit. The electromechanical brake assembly is selectively moveable between an engaged state, wherein the leadscrew is prevented from rotating to prevent relative axial movement between the power drive unit and the telescoping unit, and a disengaged state, wherein the leadscrew is permitted to rotate to allow relative axial movement between the power drive unit and the telescoping unit.
Ejection device for a folding door or folding sliding door
An ejection device includes an ejection element for spreading apart a folding door from a closed position. At least two door wings are arranged in a common closing plane, towards an open position, and the at least two door wings form an angle different from 180 relative to each other. The ejection element can be acted upon by an energy storage member to be manually loaded by an operator, and the ejection device includes a locking device for releasably locking the ejection element against the force of the loaded energy storage member. The locking device can be unlocked by applying pressure to the folding door. The ejection device includes a movably-mounted loading element for loading the energy storage member by folding together the folding door. The ejection element and the loading element are spatially separated constructional units, and the ejection element is a pivotally mounted ejection lever.
Wall of a basic furniture structure, method for producing such a wall, and basic furniture structure or piece of furniture having such a wall
A wall for a basic furniture structure, having a panel-like core, which is arranged between two laterally positioned cover layers. The core has a recess extending at least along part of an end side of the wall and serves for accommodating a fitting, which guides a movable furniture part. The core has two core halves, which are located one upon the other by way of their side surfaces located opposite the respective cover layer and have recesses which supplement one another to form the recess.
STAGED LOAD AMPLIFIED POWER CLOSURE SYSTEM
A closure assembly includes a housing, a sensor, a door, and a primary actuator. The sensor is disposed within the housing. The door is supported by the housing and is movable between a closed position and an open position. The sensor is exposed when the door is in the open position. The primary actuator is operable to (i) apply a first force on the door to move the door from the closed position to the open position and (ii) apply a second force on the door to move the door from the closed position to the open position when the first force does not move the door into the open position.
TRAILER DOOR RAMP LIFT ASSIST DEVICE
A trailer door that opens by hinging downward to double as a ramp for loading/unloading cargo and an improved assistive means by which such doors are opened and closed is provided. An assembly comprising a ramp pull point that is set apart from the plane of the ramp/door, and/or is moved outward from its edge, changes the physics of the tension required for the assistive lift force for any given ramp/door which in turn allows the spring or cabling counter-weight mechanism to be deployed substantially removing it from blocking the sides of the ramp/door.
Lifting system for leaves of furniture
A lifting system for leaves of furniture that oscillate about at least one horizontal axis comprises a supporting body which can be connected to a fixed portion of the piece of furniture, a system of articulated levers with a first lever and a second lever which connect the supporting body to a leaf of the piece of furniture, and elastic actuation elements which are functionally connected to the system of articulated levers in order to generate a rotation torque for the system of levers; the lifting system further comprises elements for increasing the rotation torque which cooperate with the elastic actuation elements in order to increase the rotation torque at least along a portion of the oscillation in the direction for opening the leaf that includes the raised position of the leaf.
ELASTIC HINGE FOR EYEGLASS FRAMES AND PROCESS FOR THE MOUNTING THEREOF
Elastic hinge for eyeglass frames, provided with two pivot elements hinged together by means of a pin. A first pivot element is provided with an elastic device comprising a carriage provided, at an external end thereof, with a head portion having a first hole which is extended passing between its two lateral faces. A second pivot element comprises two shoulders provided with second holes and delimiting a slit between them in which the head portion is inserted. The head portion comprises a tilted slide surface, which is extended towards the external end of the carriage on at least one of the lateral faces of the head portion directed towards the head of the pin, covering at least one area adjacent to the first through hole.
Low profile door closer
A door closer includes a helical extension spring disposed within a housing. A first end of the spring is attached to a spring anchor attached to a first end of the housing. A second end of the spring is attached to a first end of a strap. The strap passes through a strap guide attached to a second end of the housing. A second end of the strap is configured for attachment to a door jamb. The spring anchor and strap guide are configured for attachment to a door.
