Enhanced object detection
A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to actuate a vehicle door to an opened position and to determine a height of an object on a vehicle roof based on a distance from a sensor on the door in the opened position to a top of the object.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING VEHICLE DOOR CLOSING EVENTS
The disclosed computer-implemented method may include receiving sensor data associated with a mobile device associated with a vehicle, wherein the sensor data includes at least one of an angular velocity vector, a linear acceleration vector, and a rotational acceleration vector recorded over a period of time, determining an event signature based on the sensor data, and detecting a door closing event associated with the vehicle based at least in part on the event signature. Other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed.
Obstacle detecting device
An obstacle detecting device for detecting an obstacle around a vehicle includes a sensor, a notifying unit, an operation detecting unit, and a control unit. The sensor is installed at a fixed portion of the vehicle to detect an obstacle within a predetermined detection range with an origin corresponding to a position where the sensor is installed. The notifying unit provides a notification based on a signal output from the sensor. The operation detecting unit detects an operation of a movable portion of the vehicle moving within the detection range of the sensor. The control unit is enabled to inhibit a notifying operation of the notifying unit when the operation detecting unit detects the operation of the movable portion.
DOOR OPENING RESTRICTION DEVICE, AND OPENING OPERATION CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE DOOR
A door ECU includes a non-detection field calculation unit calculating a non-detection field of an obstacle with reference to a location of a proximity sensor arranged in a vehicle, a travel path calculation unit calculating a travel path until the vehicle comes to a stopped state, a non-detection field movement path calculation unit calculating a movement path of the non-detection field associated with the travel path of the vehicle, a door opening operation path calculation unit calculating an opening operation path of the vehicle door when the vehicle is in the stopped state, and a door opening restriction calculation unit generating a control signal of a door check device in order to restrict the opening operation angle of the vehicle door if the vehicle door may operate to open beyond the movement path of the non-detection field.
AUTOMATED DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM AND CONVENIENCE FEATURES
A power door system for a vehicle comprises an actuator configured to control a position of a door about a hinge assembly. The system further comprises a plurality of detection devices configured to detect an approaching passenger approaching the vehicle and a seated passenger within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. An angular position sensor is configured to identify an angular position of the door. A controller is configured to control the actuator to position the door in a first opened position in response to the detection of the approaching passenger and control the actuator to control the door to a second closed position in response to detecting the seated passenger in the passenger compartment.
VEHICLE OPENING AND CLOSING BODY CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle opening and closing body control device includes: a control unit configured to control an opening and closing body drive device that drives an opening and closing body of a vehicle, and to cause the opening and closing body to open and close based on an operation request; a detection unit configured to detect an obstacle present around the opening and closing body based on a detection result of an obstacle sensor; and a setting unit configured to set a target stop position that is a position where the opening and closing body is near the obstacle based on a distance from the opening and closing body to the obstacle before operation of the opening and closing body is started. The control unit causes the opening and closing body to stop at the target stop position when the target stop position is set.
OPENING AND CLOSING BODY CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
An opening and closing body control device for a vehicle includes: a control unit configured to control an opening and closing body drive device driving an opening and closing body of a vehicle to open and close the opening and closing body based on an operation request; and a detection unit configured to detect an obstacle present around the opening and closing body based on a detection result of an obstacle sensor. The control unit sets an operation speed of the opening and closing body to a first speed when the obstacle is not detected during an operation of the opening and closing body, and sets the operation speed to a second speed or less and causes the opening and closing body to stop at a position where the opening and closing body is close to the obstacle, when the obstacle is detected during the operation.
SELF-LEARNING, NOISE FILTERING OF RADAR USED FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS
Embodiments include methods, systems and computer readable storage medium for a method for operating one or more doors of a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by at least one radar sensor on the vehicle, input data related to one or more objects. The method further includes filtering, by the at least one radar sensor, vehicle environment noise from the received input. The method further includes identifying, by the at least one radar sensor, an external environment for the vehicle based on the filtered input. The method further includes operating, by a processor, one or more doors of the vehicle based on the external environment for the vehicle.
Automatic car door swing limiter
A computer implemented method and computer system for automatically limiting the swing angle of a vehicle door to not hit nearby moving objects, including predicting that a moving object will move to be within a predetermined distance of the door and predicting the distance the moving object will be from the door, determining a swing angle extent of an opening of the door that will avoid hitting the moving object and actuating a door controller to limit the swing angle of the door. Historical data on the speed the door is opened can be used in determining the door swing angle. The current position and velocity of the moving object relative to the door of the vehicle is estimated based on signals received from sensors attached to the vehicle.
