Electro-mechanical and electronically controlled access devices are described for automatically controlling passage between two areas, and where a plurality of such access control devices may be ganged or clustered to provided additional throughput and directional control, including stacking a plurality of access control devices side by side within a cluster. Each access control device contains multiple rotatable and moveable door panels. The door panels are controlled by various drive mechanisms to enable passage through the device, while ensuring by the use of sensors that door panels avoid touching subjects as they traverse the device. The direction of flow through a device according to these embodiments is electronically controlled and may be changed from time to time. At any instant in time while being traversed, the flow through each device is unidirectional. Multiple devices within a cluster can be directionally controlled according to traffic, demand, time of day, or other factors.

A drive device for a hatch, in particular for a tailgate, comprising a cable, which is connected at one end to a cable pulley, which is configured to wind or unwind the cable according to the direction of rotation of the cable pulley, wherein the cable pulley is connected to a first superordinate assembly, such as a vehicle body, and which is connected at its other end to a second superordinate assembly, such as the hatch, which is pivotably attached relative to the first superordinate assembly, comprising an actuator, which is configured to drive the cable pulley, wherein the drive device furthermore comprises at least one deflection unit which has a deflection roll over which the cable runs between the cable pulley and the hatch.

CONTROL ARRANGEMENT FOR AN ENTRANCE SYSTEM HAVING ONE OR MORE SWING DOOR MOVABLE DOOR MEMBERS
20220268090 · 2022-08-25 ·

A control arrangement for an entrance system has one or more movable door members and an automatic door operator for causing movements of the one or more movable door members between closed and open positions. The door members comprise one or more swing doors. The control arrangement comprises a controller and a plurality of sensors. Each sensor is connected to the controller and is configured to monitor a respective zone at the entrance system for presence or activity of a person or object. Each sensor has an active mode and an inactive mode, wherein the sensor consumes no electric power in the inactive mode or substantially less electric power in the inactive mode than in the active mode. The controller is configured to determine a current operational state of the entrance system among a plurality of possible operational states, and selectively cause at least one of the sensors to be in its active mode or in its inactive mode depending on the determined current operational state of the entrance system.
