A method for controlling door movements of a controllable door of a motor vehicle, and a motor vehicle component. A control device and a sensor arrangement are attributed to the door. The door has a controllable motion influencing device, wherein a motion of a door wing of the door can be controlled and influenced by way of the motion influencing device to alternate between a closed position and an open position. The control device obtains position data which are representative of the geographic position of the motor vehicle and the control device controls movements of the door wing in dependence on the position data.
METHOD FOR OPENING A DOOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE BY MOVEMENT DETECTION, USING A DOPPLER RADAR AND ASSOCIATED DETECTION DEVICE
Disclosed is a method for opening a door of a motor vehicle equipped with a device with two Doppler radars for detecting a predetermined movement of a part of the body of a user, the method including: for each radar, comparing the characteristic parameter with a predetermined shape including a predetermined number of peaks a characteristic value of which is higher than a predetermined persistence threshold; if the characteristic parameter has, for the first and second radars, the predetermined shape in a given interval of interest, and if, in the interval of interest, the first radar also sees a predetermined number of changes of phase between the in-phase component and the phase-offset component, then, the predetermined movement is detected and the door is opened, the door otherwise not being opened.
Door opening and closing device
A door opening and closing device includes: first and second detectors repeatedly detect a distance to a detection target around the door; and a control unit opens and closes the door using a drive unit when a predetermined operation having a plurality of stages performed by a moving object is detected. The control unit determines whether first and second objects respectively detected by the first and second detectors are the moving or stationary object. When one of the first and second objects is the moving object and the other is the stationary object and a distance to the stationary object is shorter than a first determination value, both the detection results of the first and second detectors are used for detection at a final stage, and only the detection result of the first or second detector detecting the moving object is used for detection at the other stages.
METHOD FOR OPENING AN OPENING PANEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE BY MOTION DETECTION, USING A DOPPLER RADAR, AND ASSOCIATED DETECTION DEVICE
Disclosed is a method for opening an opening element of a motor vehicle having a device detecting a predetermined movement of a user's body part, including a Doppler radar, including an antenna, radar waves transmitter/receiver and a radar wave processor. The method includes detection modes and standby modes with reduced wave frequency, the method including during standby: Phase demodulating the reflected radar waves and determining a first signal representing a phase variation of the reflected waves over time; Phase-shift demodulating the reflected radar waves, and determining a second signal representing phase variation of the reflected waves shifted as a function of time; Comparing threshold to maximum value of the absolute values for the first and second signals; Exiting the standby mode and triggering the detection mode if the maximum is greater than the predetermined threshold; Opening the opening element if the predetermined movement is detected during the detection mode.
A POWER CLOSURE MEMBER ACTUATION SYSTEM
A power closure member actuation system for moving a vehicle closure member between an open position and a closed position includes an actuator and a user movement sensor configured to sense a motion input from a user on the closure member to move the closure member. A user interface is configured to detect a user interface input to modify at least one stored motion control parameter associated with the movement of the closure member. A controller is configured to modify the at least one stored motion control parameter in response to detecting the user interface input. The controller detects the motion input and in response generates a force command using the at least one stored motion control parameter. The controller then commands movement of the closure member receiving the force command to vary an actuator output force acting on the closure member to move the closure member.
OBSTACLE DETECTION DEVICE, AND METHOD
An obstacle detection device includes: an ultrasonic sensor signal processing unit detecting at least a distance to an obstacle among the distance and a shape of the obstacle based on an output of an ultrasonic sensor, the ultrasonic sensor being disposed on a door of a vehicle and detecting the distance within a predetermined detection range by an ultrasonic wave; a camera image processing unit detecting the distance and the shape based on an output of a camera of the vehicle, the camera capturing an image of an area including a trajectory range when the door is opened and a detection range of the ultrasonic sensor; and a controller performing open operation control of the door based on detection results of the ultrasonic sensor signal processing unit and the camera image processing unit.
Closing server-rack door using acoustic noise and acceleration
A system is provided for automatically closing a server-rack door. A microphone acquires sound data and an acceleration sensor acquires acceleration data. A controller determines at least one time when a volume of the sound data exceeds a threshold. The controller identifies at least one waveform from the acceleration data which matches (i) an opening waveform or (ii) a closing waveform. The controller checks, for each given waveform from among the at least one waveform, if the at least one time is within a time range of the given waveform and, if so, determine that the user is opening or closing the server-rack door by identifying the given waveform as matching the opening or closing waveform. The controller provides a notification of an open status of the server-rack door based on numbers of opening and closing waveforms. The controller automatically closes the server-rack door, responsive to the notification.
Motor vehicle lock assembly
A lock arrangement for a vehicle door, which is connected in an adjustable manner to a motor vehicle body, wherein a motor vehicle lock is provided that in the mounted state is arranged on the motor vehicle door or on the motor vehicle body, wherein the motor vehicle lock arrangement, in particular the motor vehicle lock, comprises a push-open arrangement with which the motor vehicle door may be adjusted in a motorized push-open procedure out of a door closed position, in particular a door main-closed position or a door pre-closed position into a door push-open position that is lying further in its opening direction and as a consequence a gap, may be produced between the motor vehicle body and a door engagement edge of the motor vehicle door, wherein a control arrangement and connected thereto in terms of control technology a sensor arrangement are provided.
Autonomous vehicle providing safety zone to persons in distress
A method for automatically controlling a vehicle to provide a safety zone to an individual. The method detects, at the vehicle, a condition indicating that an individual outside of the vehicle is in distress. In response, one or more vehicle services are automatically made available to the individual. A corresponding system is also disclosed and claimed herein.
