Motorized window blind
A motorized window blind includes a slotted motorized track member mounted to a vertical wall structure of a building and extending across the top of an opening in the wall. It also includes at least two panels mounted to the track and covering the wall opening while being in a position where the panels are parallel and coplanar with one another. The motorized track member has at least one motorized actuation system enabling one panel to move forward away from the opening thereby freeing the track for the second panel to laterally slide behind the first panel. The panels become stacked in a parallel superimposed position in relation with one another. In the stacked position, the panels cover a portion of one end of the opening while completely uncovering a potion at the other end of the opening.
Building sliding door system with fire protection
A building sliding door system separates a first building region from a second building region and has a frame structure that has a passage region and a wall shell region. A sliding door is displaced in the frame structure between a closed position and an open position, wherein the wall shell region at least partially receives the sliding door in the open position. An electromechanical drive unit and a control device control the displacement of the sliding door. A fire protection unit has a bracket and, movably mounted on the bracket, a fire protection device made of a material having a defined fire resistance. The fire protection device is horizontally displaceable within the wall shell region with respect to the bracket between a retracted position in which the sliding door is in the open position, and an extended position in which the sliding door is in the closed position.
Digital door
An automatic door opening apparatus for a vehicle. Two and three hinge joint embodiments with motors at each hinge joint to control motion of the door opening apparatus relative to the vehicle at that hinge joint. The motors are individually programmable to customize the door opening apparatus and movement to different vehicles. The motors can be in alignment or out-of-alignment with the hinge joints, but in either case the motor controls motion of the hinged components at the associated hinge joint. When a motor is out-of-alignment with the hinge joint it controls, then pulley wheels and belts can be used to connect the motor to the hinge joint. The door opening apparatus can also include a floor track, and a door arm that connects the door to the floor track.
Accessibility of storage cabinets
A drive apparatus fits into a storage cabinet with a storage unit with shelves and is suited for mounting on a wall above a worktop. A push/pull mechanism pushes the storage unit outwardly from the housing, and a separate vertical drive mechanism then lowers the storage unit to a level beneath the housing, where it is accessible. Because the storage unit is initially pushed outwardly to a to extended position, when it is lowered it does not impact on items directly underneath the cabinet. Hence the cabinet may be fitted in a conventional arrangement. A door drive mechanism allows automated opening and closing of the doors, but if they are opened manually the drive mechanism remains disengaged. Upon automated door closure the door mechanism disengages when nearly closed due to the mutual physical arrangement of the mechanism components, thereby allowing the door's own soft hinge to complete the door closure, thereby avoiding pinch points and allowing the next door opening to be either manual or automated.
MECHANICAL PROGRAMMING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE ORIENTATION OF A DOOR
A mechanical programming system for a door has at least one track and at least two links. The track is formed in an arm coupling the door to a door opening in a body. The links are pivotably connected in series between an arm-body interface and an arm-door interface, and transmit rotational motion of the arm about an arm-body hinge axis to the door for rotation about an arm-door hinge axis. At least one link is coupled to the track via a track engaging element. The track has a directional path shape that causes an orientation of at least one link to change as the track engaging element slides along the track in a manner maintaining the door parallel to the door opening during an opening sequence of translating the door from a closed position to an open position while allowing non-parallel orientations of the door during the opening sequence.
ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A DRIVE DEVICE, A COMPONENT FOR CLOSING AN OPENING, AND A GUIDE DEVICE
An assembly includes a drive device, a component to be displaced relative to a wall element for closing an opening of the wall element, and a guide device with which the component can be displaced relative to the wall element. A switch and/or a sensor system, preferably a metal detector, allows a partially open position of the component to be detected and/or allows the drive device to be activated, preferably based on a detection of the partially open position starting from a fully open position, and/or allows the drive device to be deactivated, preferably based on a detection of the partially open position starting from a closed position.
