The portable subatmospheric pressure mechanism includes a housing, a subatmospheric pressure source disposed within the housing and in fluid communication with the wound dressing to supply subatmospheric pressure to the wound dressing and a power source mounted to or within the housing for supplying power to actuate the subatmospheric pressure source.

Blood clot removal device, system, and method
11291808 · 2022-04-05 ·

A blood clot removal device for removing blood clots from the vascular system of a patient is implantable in the patient's body. The blood clot removal device comprises a blood flow passageway to be connected to the patient's vascular system to allow circulation of the patient's blood through the blood flow passageway, a filter provided in the blood flow passageway for collecting blood clots occurring in the blood flowing through the blood flow passageway, and a cleaning device for moving blood clots collected by the filter out of the blood flow passageway. By means of such blood clot removal device, the risk of blood clots reaching sensitive areas of the patient's body, such as the brain, is reduced.

Milk suction and collection device

Disclosed is a milk suction and collection device integrally manufactured and formed by silicone. The milk suction and collection device includes a main body which is hollow inside to define a milk storage chamber and is further provided with a milk pouring port operative to be selectively blocked. A breast protecting film is provided on a side in a thickness direction of the main body and is configured to be fitted with an outer periphery of a breast, and is further provided with a milk collecting port communicating with the milk storage chamber. The side of the main body of the milk suction and collection device provided with the breast protecting film is operative to be fitted with the breast because the milk suction and collection device is integrally manufactured and formed by silicone. When the milk pouring port is closed, a breast pumping function is achieved by squeezing the main body. When the milk pouring port is opened, a milk collecting function is achieved.

Negative pressure wound therapy system

A negative pressure wound therapy system includes a dressing, a tube, a flow restriction pad, and an in-line filter. The dressing is configured for placement in a wound bed. The tube includes a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to be operably coupled to the dressing. The second end is configured to engage a negative pressure source. The flow restriction pad is configured to be coupled to the dressing proximate the first end of the tube. The flow restriction pad includes a tortuous fluid flow path that is configured to restrict or reduce an amount of a fluid drawn from the dressing into the tube and induce a backpressure between the dressing and the tube. The in-line filter is positioned within the tube between the first end and the second end. The in-line filter configured to substantially prevent the fluid entering the tube.

Medical Instrument for Minimally Invasive Therapy, Comprising at Least Two Separate Suction Lines
20220072214 · 2022-03-10 · ·

Disclosed is a medical instrument for use in minimally invasive therapy that generates, by at least two independent devices, an aspiration that advantageously causes the stability of the distension and the viewing conditions by adjusted flow rates.

Closed-system bladder drug administration catheter and methods for administering drugs in a closed system

A closed-system, drug administering catheter assembly includes a transfer adapter, a stopcock, a medicament injector containing chemotherapy medicament, a medicament pressure reservoir, and a urethral balloon catheter comprising a drain lumen and a distal tip, all connected together in a closed-system. The medicament injector is configured to inject the chemotherapy medicament through the stopcock, the drain lumen, and into an environment of the distal tip within a patient's organ without leakage of the chemotherapy medicament from the patient into an environment of the patient. The medicament pressure reservoir is configured to store negative pressure that withdraws from the organ used chemotherapy medicament through the drain lumen and the stopcock and holds the used chemotherapy medicament in the medicament pressure reservoir without leakage of the used chemotherapy medicament into the environment of the patient.

Vacuum pump

A vacuum pump includes a hollow container that has a vacuum port and internal chamber walls. The vacuum port opens to an exterior of the container and the chamber walls define chambers that are in fluid communication with the vacuum port. There are flexible bladders disposed in the chambers. The flexible bladders include vents that open through the container to the exterior. A plunger in the container includes arms that extend into the chambers such that each of the flexible bladders is situated between one of the arms and one of the chamber walls. The plunger is moveable between a home position and an upstroke position to compress and deflate the flexible bladders via the vents and thereby change the volume of the flexible bladders. The change in the volume draws a vacuum through the vacuum port.

Diaphragm vacuum pump

A diaphragm vacuum pump has a pump chamber, a vacuum diaphragm for generating an underpressure in the pump chamber, an electric motor (1) with a motor shaft, a gear and a connecting element. The gear converts a rotational movement of the motor shaft into a cyclical, approximately linear forward and rearward movement of the connecting element, as a result of which the connecting element effects a cyclical movement of the vacuum diaphragm. The rearward movement of the connecting element per cycle is effected by a first rotation angle of the motor shaft which, on account of the gear, is not of the same magnitude as a second rotation angle of the motor shaft, wherein the second rotation angle effects the forward movement of the connecting element per cycle. The diaphragm vacuum pump according to the invention can be designed such that it is small and quiet and yet provides optimal power.

Fluid container with pressure regulation

A system or apparatus may include a container configured to collect fluid from a tissue site and regulate negative-pressure from a negative-pressure source. In some embodiments, the container may include a regulator that receives negative pressure directly from an unregulated negative-pressure source, such as a wall-suction outlet. The regulator may regulate down the pressure delivered to a collection chamber in the container, which may in turn be connected to a tissue site.
