The first powered actuator also includes a gearbox having a gearbox housing, the gearbox configured to apply a force to the extensible member for causing the extensible member to move linearly. One or more sealing assembly seals the gearbox housing as the extensible member translates linearly. A gearbox housing may include apertures on opposite sides thereof, with one aperture facing a shut face and the other aperture facing an inner cavity of the closure. The extensible member may be sealed at each aperture relative to the gearbox housing. One sealing assembly may be fixed at an aperture, with the extensible member translating therethrough.

Automated window mechanisms with telescoping arm extensions
11603697 · 2023-03-14 · ·

A mechanism is disclosed for automating a sliding window having window components comprising a stationary pane component, a sliding pane component and a window frame component. The mechanism includes a telescoping mounting assembly attached to a first of the window components. The telescoping mounting assembly includes a housing and one or two extension arms, selectively extensible from the housing to either one or both sides of the first window component. A motor is disposed within the housing driving a first gear. Either one or two telescoping drive shafts are disposed within the extension arms, each having a gear on one end of the telescoping drive shaft driven by the first gear and having a gear on an opposite end of the telescoping drive shaft that engages a rack mounted on one side of a second of the window components. The telescoping drive shafts are coupled to the extension arms and are therefore selectively extensible with first extension arms. This mechanism is installed by extending the extension arm to fit the first of the window components. The sliding window is opened and closed by rotation of the motor and the telescoping drive.

The deformable portion extends between the open end and the opening. The deformable portion is configured to elastically deform upon inserting the connector through the open end until the connector is non-removably seated within the opening.

Passage barrier and method for producing a passage barrier

A passage barrier includes two guide elements that cooperate such that they define a gate region, through which a person passes from an entrance region into a passage region. The passage barrier has a drive with a drive unit and an output unit. The drive unit, output unit, and a barrier element are operatively connected such that the barrier element is movable via the drive unit into a position closing and a position opening the gate region. The output unit has a hollow shaft with outer and inner shell surfaces. The inner shell surface and drive unit are configured such that the inner shell surface surrounds the drive unit and the hollow shaft has a mount for fixing the barrier element on the hollow shaft. The mount is arranged on the outer shell surface and formed integrally with the hollow shaft.
