Pinch Detection Based on Motor Current Increase
20220158573 · 2022-05-19 ·

The pinch detector is suitable to detect a pinch at a closing member actuated by a motor equipped with a measuring circuit to measure a motor current. It includes a first portion that, when the motor starts closing the member, obtains a reference value of the motor current measured at the end of a blind time period having a predetermined duration from the moment the motor starts to close the member; a second portion that compares current values of the measured motor current to a threshold value depending on said reference value, during a detection time period, following the blind time period and preceding a steady state time period of the motor, in order to detect a pinch at the closing member based on a comparison result.

DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SERVO CONTROLLED POWERED DOOR ACTUATOR

A power door actuation system for a door of a vehicle is provided. The system includes a housing mounted to the door and an actuator mounted within the housing that includes an electric motor configured to output a motor force. The actuator also includes a geartrain with a geartrain input coupled to an output of the electric motor for receiving the motor force and a geartrain output for applying an output force to the door. An extendible member is configured for extension and retraction in response to actuation by the geartrain output for moving the door. The system determines the output force to compensate for external forces affecting the motion of the door, adjusts the output force determined to an adjusted output force to compensate for internal forces affecting the operation of the actuator, and controls the electric motor to move the door at the adjusted output force.

AUTOMATIC DOOR DEVICE AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE

An automatic door device includes a driving motor and a transmission system. An input end of the transmission system is coupled to an output shaft of the driving motor, an output end of the transmission system is coupled to a door shaft, and the transmission system has a transmission link to transmit an output torque of the driving motor to the door shaft. A clutch mechanism is disposed on the transmission link of the transmission system. Accordingly, when the door is subjected to an external force, the transmission link between the door and the driving motor can be automatically disconnected, so that while an automatic door function implemented, it is ensured that a user may not be affected by the resistance brought by the automatic door device when the user opens/closes the door manually, thereby optimizing user experience.

DOOR MOTION CONTROLLER WITH ACCELEROMETER COMPENSATION

A system for opening or closing a closure member of a vehicle and an accelerometer calibration method are provided. The system includes an actuator assembly with an electric motor operably coupled to an extensible member for opening or closing the closure member. The system also includes an accelerometer configured to sense movement of the closure member and output an accelerometer signal. An actuator controller is coupled to electric motor and to the accelerometer and is configured to determine an adjusted accelerometer signal as the accelerometer signal adjusted using one of a plurality of predetermined compensation factors determined through an accelerometer calibration process temporally before installation of the accelerometer in the vehicle. The actuator controller then controls the opening or closing of the closure member using the electric motor based on the movement of the closure member as represented by the adjusted accelerometer signal.

CONCEALED ELECTRICAL DOOR OPERATOR

A door assembly includes a first door skin, a second door skin spaced apart from the first door skin and a door operator disposed between the first door skin and the second door skin. An arm extends from the door operator. The door operator includes a motor moving the arm to move the door between a closed position and an open position and between the open position and the closed position. A current sensor generates a current signal corresponding to the current to the motor. A position sensor in communication with the door arm generates a position signal corresponding to the position of the door relative to the frame. A controller communicates with the sensor and the motor. The controller controls a motor current to the motor in response to the current signal and the position signal.

METHOD FOR ADJUSTING AN ADJUSTING PART ON A VEHICLE AND STORING SIGNAL CURVES AND MEASURED VALUE CURVES FOR SUBSEQUENT TESTING

The proposed solution in particular relates to a method for adjusting an adjusting part (1) on a vehicle (F), wherein an adjustment of the adjusting part (1) is controlled by using an electronic detection device (2) which detects a potential obstacle in an adjustment path of the adjusting part (1) on the basis of at least one first measured value and generates at least one control signal (r(t)) for controlling the adjustment of the adjusting part (1). At least over a defined time period, a curve of the control signal (r(t)) and/or of the first measured value as well as a curve of at least one second measured value (a(t), i(t), v(t)) changing significantly on collision of the adjusting part (1) with an obstacle are stored so as to be read out and correlated with each other for a subsequent plausibility check.

A trunk door opening/closing assistance apparatus including: a torque detection part which detects a torque input by a user to open/close the trunk door of a vehicle; a control unit which provides assist torque support in addition to the torque applied by the user within a total torque range required to open/close the door when the user manually opens or closes the trunk door; and a motor drive part which drives a motor for assisting the opening or closing of the trunk door with a direction and a strength which are controlled by the control unit.

Closed loop door position control

A powered vehicle closure system includes a controller that is configured to control a force of a powered actuator to provide smooth opening and/or closing operations.

POWER PANEL SYSTEM AND CONTROL

A power panel closure system may include a moveable panel and a panel driver energizable in a first direction associated with movement of the panel toward closing and energizable in a second direction associated with movement of the panel toward opening. A panel latch may have a primary latch state wherein the panel is held in a closed position. A control module may perform a panel opening sequence including energizing the panel driver in the first direction while the panel is being held in the closed position by the panel latch in the primary latch state, releasing the panel latch from the primary latch state, and energizing the panel driver in the second direction.
