DOOR ACTUATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A door actuation system may include an actuation device to move a first door leaf and a second door leaf between an open and a closed position. The actuation device may provide an open preload force in the open position. The actuation device may provide a closed preload force in the closed position. The system may include one or more of: a first engagement member that may contact the actuation device and may allow movement of the actuation device to adjust the open and closed preload force; or the actuation device may be coupled with the first door leaf by a first rod and the second door leaf by a second rod, at least one of the first or second rod may adjust a length of the first or second rod to maintain the open preload force in the open position and the closed preload force in the closed position.
Door system with improved installation, set-up, and cloning
A door system includes a controller for controlling the door system. A user computer system transmits information to the controller over a wireless connection to modify operating parameters for controlling the operation of the door system. During installation of the door system sensors may be utilized to determine if the door system has been installed properly. The sensors may be used to identify if the door system is mounted level and plum, and to review the movement, vibration, speed, acceleration, force, or the like of the sensors, and thus, the components to which the sensors are operatively coupled in order to make adjustments to the door assembly. Furthermore, the operating parameters of the installed door system, may be cloned and provided to other door systems in order to quickly clone and distribute the operating parameters of one or more door systems to one or more other door systems.
Swing door operator operable in powered and powerless mode
Provided is a swing door operator (110) for moving a door leaf (120) between a first position and a second position. The swing door operator (110) is arranged to operate in a powered and a powerless mode and comprises a permanent magnet DC motor (310). The motor (310) is arranged to move the door leaf (120) at least from the second position to the first position in the powered mode. The swing door operator (110) further comprises a mechanical drive unit (320), arranged to move the door leaf from the first position to the second position in the powerless mode. In the powerless mode, at least one resistive device is electrically connected in parallel with the motor (310) and arranged to limit a current generated by the motor (310) in response to the movement of the door leaf (120) from the first position to the second position by means of the mechanical drive unit (320). A method for controlling the swing door operator is also provided.
VEHICLE DOOR CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM
A vehicle door control method and system are provided. The method includes calibrating a disturbing force of a vehicle and determining an operating mode of a vehicle door according to an input instruction and/or a current vehicle door state. Next, determining a vehicle door operating effect according to the operating mode and determining target voltage information of a motor of the vehicle door according to the operating mode, the disturbing force, the current vehicle door state, and vehicle door operating effect. The method also includes controlling the motor to operate according to the target voltage information, so that the motor drives the vehicle door. Accordingly, a torque of the motor may be determined according to the vehicle door operating effect and the disturbing force calibrated before delivery, so as to determine the target voltage information, which achieves self-adaptation and accurate control of the vehicle door.
DEVICE FOR OPENING AND CLOSING OPENING/CLOSING BODY
When it is determined that there is an individual abnormality, in which an individual drive section is in an abnormal state, while the opening/closing body is being moved by the drive sections or the opening/closing body is stopped in an open state, the opening/closing body operation device performs a restriction control on the drive section with the individual abnormality, the restriction control restricting the movement of the opening/closing body in the closing direction. The opening/closing body operation device makes a comparison of the driving state between the drive section subjected to restriction control and another drive section, and when it is determined that the drive sections are normal with respect to each other, the opening/closing body operation device deems the opening/closing body to be in a normal state and disengages the restriction control.
Concealed electrical door operator
A door assembly includes a first door skin, a second door skin spaced apart from the first door skin and a door operator disposed between the first door skin and the second door skin. An arm extends from the door operator. The door operator includes a motor moving the arm to move the door between a closed position and an open position and between the open position and the closed position. A current sensor generates a current signal corresponding to the current to the motor. A position sensor in communication with the door arm generates a position signal corresponding to the position of the door relative to the frame. A controller communicates with the sensor and the motor. The controller controls a motor current to the motor in response to the current signal and the position signal.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY CLOSING A TAILGATE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A device and method for automatically closing a tailgate of a motor vehicle having a body and a tailgate closing device, is described. The tailgate closing device comprises first and second closing elements. A suspension strut is situated on a first side of the tailgate and a power strut is situated on a second side of the tailgate opposite the first side. The suspension strut and the power strut are both connected to the tailgate and to the body. The first closing element is situated on the tailgate and the second closing element is situated on the body. The first and second closing elements are designed to engage into each other during the closing of the tailgate to effectuate the closure of the tailgate. The torque acting via the power strut onto the tailgate is reduced during the closing of the tailgate when the distance between the first and second closing elements is less than a threshold value.
VEHICLE DOOR ASSISTANCE
Method and apparatus are disclosed for vehicle door assistance. An example vehicle includes a solenoid between a frame of the vehicle and a door, a restraint control module with an accelerometer to provide a roll angle and a pitch angle of the vehicle; and a body control unit. The body control unit determines a door adjustment force based on the roll and pitch angles and personal characteristics of an occupant, and when a door is moving, applies the door adjustment force with the solenoid.
POWERED DRIVEN DOOR PRESENTER FOR VEHICLE DOORS
A vehicle includes a body and a door that is movably mounted to the body. The door has a powered latch and an electrically-powered actuator that extends and retracts a plunger from an inner side of the door. A controller unlatches the powered latch and actuates the electrically-powered actuator such that the plunger contacts the body and pushes the door open. The controller then controls the electrically-powered actuator to retract the plunger while the door is open.
Method and apparatus for trailer monitoring
A trailer door system that comprises at least one trailer door assembly operably engaged with the trailer; and at least one driving assembly operably engaged with the trailer and the at least one trailer door assembly. The at least one driving assembly further comprises an expansion assembly operably engaged with the at least one trailer door assembly. The at least one driving assembly further comprises a rotary actuator operably engaged with the expansion assembly, wherein the rotary actuator is configured to transition the expansion assembly between a collapsed position and an expanded position for pivoting the at least one trailer door assembly between a closed position and an opened position about an axis parallel to a vertical axis defined by the trailer. A trailer monitoring system may be included with the trailer door system for automating the state of the trailer during a towing operation.
