An adaptable suction tubing apparatus for a surgical retractor is disclosed. The suction tubing apparatus comprises a suction tip connector, an extruded rectangular tubing and an end suction connector. All components also have side protrusions or bumps for nesting into top channels over the top surface of a surgical retractor. These side protrusions provides snug fit within a surgical retractor. Optionally the tubing can have double sided adhesive tape for placement over the top surface of a standard surgical retractor. The suction tubing apparatus is designed for one time use and has low profile and conformed to the contour of any retractors perfectly.

Ergonomic Tubing Attachment for Medical Apparatus

An ergonomic attachment system for connecting an irrigation tube or an aspiration tube to a surgical handpiece that reduces surgeon wrist fatigue due to tubing twist. The tube is connected to the handpiece through a swivel joint which allows the tube to rotate circumferentially with respect to the handpiece and self-adjust to a neutral position to relieve the twist.

The suction system in the surgical area is part of the operation room, one of its functions is helps to aid the vision of the surgeon and the surgical team. Currently the operation rooms use a regular suction tubing which is just one female connector to the suction system, a body tube and a female connector to the surgical field.

With the modification and adaptation of the regular suction tubing, we will get the new suction tubing in “Y” two-way for surgery, one unit will do the job of 2 regular suction tubing, which will help in saving time to connect, and avoid changing tubes between instruments during the surgery (uncomfortable), less tangles in the surgical field and it will impact in the environment since we will producing fewer PVC which means less material to be disposed.

Dental aerosol and liquid suction device

The present invention relates to dental suction devices for capturing aerosols and managing fluid accumulations in a patient's mouth during a dental procedure. The dental suction devices comprise a housing tube having a first end connectible to a vacuum source; a funnel demountably engageable with a second end of the housing tube; a pliable tube extending throughout the housing tube and extending outward from the funnel. The first end of the pliable tube is connectible to the vacuum source and its opposite end is positionable in a patient's mouth. The second end of the pliable tube has a plurality of apertures, and one or more pairs of retaining collars adjustably spaced-apart therealong. The pliable tube may be looped around the end of a row of teeth and secured in place by a tie that is secured to the spaced-apart pair of retaining collars between two adjacent teeth.

CLOSED SUCTION CATHETER

Aspects of embodiments of the present invention disclose a suction adapter used in aspirating fluid from a particular site. The adapter device may include a nozzle configured to connect with suction tubing connected with a suction source, a drain end, structurally configured to connect the adapter with a drain tube, where the drain tube may be used to aspirate a site such as a surgical site. The adapter may also include: a channel within the adapter enabling fluid flow and a suction controlling fenestration extending from the channel to the adapter's external surface. The fenestration enables a user, by progressively opening or closing the fenestration, to vary suction within the suction adapter which, in turn, varies the flow of fluid through the adapter.

The present invention provides a novel microdermabrasion system that provides safe and effective treatment for skin conditions such as acne, aging and sallow skin, fine wrinkles, surface skin scars, and other visually unappealing cosmetic skin disfigurements. This new invention provides a universal attachment and air flow/suction regulator which permits micro diamond chip based, crystal free microdermabrasion using a variety of standard vacuums and home based cleaning vacuums. Whereas currently available microdermabrasion devices have required a dedicated internal built in vacuum, this new invention allows the use of the universal attachment to most types of vacuums.

A drainage system includes a vacuum chamber to receive drainage liquid from a drainage tube. The chamber can include an input port coupled with the drainage tube and a drain port coupled with a collection container. The system can include an air pump having an input coupled with a vacuum port of the vacuum chamber and a distal end of the drainage tube. Activation of the air pump can establish circulating fluid flow between the drainage tube and the vacuum chamber, and deactivation of the air pump can permit drainage liquid to drain from the vacuum chamber into the output tube. Also disclosed is a method of draining liquid from a patient, including accumulating a volume of the drainage liquid at a first location along a drainage pathway, moving the volume to a second location, accumulating the volume at the second location, and moving the volume to a collection container.
