SUCTION HEAD FOR GENTLY SUCKING OFF THIXOTROPIC LIQUIDS
A suction head for sucking off a liquid containing organic components comprises an inner surface defining a main channel of the suction head. The main channel extends along a main axis of the suction head towards a suction connection of the suction head. Further, the suction head comprises suction holes entering into the suction head and feeding through the inner surface into the main channel, and flow-guiding devices. The flow guiding devices are configured for imparting a rotational component about the main axis on a flow of the liquid through the main channel, when the flow of the liquid which gets into the suction head through the suction holes is brought about by a negative pressure in the suction connection.
SURGICAL DEVICE COMPRISING A ROD HAVING A DEFORMABLE SLEEVE AT ITS DISTAL END SURROUNDING SAID ROD
The disclosure relates to a surgical device comprising a rod having a deformable sleeve at its distal end surrounding the rod, the control element being longitudinally movable for moving the proximal end of the sleeve between a rest position, in which the deformable sleeve has a tubular shape, and an active position, in which the sleeve is deformed by bringing together its distal and proximal ends. The rod is made up of an internal hollow tubular element surrounded by a sheath that can move in translation and rotation relative to the internal hollow tubular element. The distal end of the sleeve is fixed onto a peripheral strip of the internal hollow tubular element and the proximal end of the sleeve is fixed onto a peripheral strip of the sheath.
LEAKAGE RESISTANT EXTERNAL FEMALE CATHETER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A system and method for automatically removing by suction urine voided by a female. The system includes an external catheter. The external catheter includes a suction tube having a portion enclosed in a hydrophilic sponge cover. The suction tube is arranged to be coupled to suction of a desired value. The cover is arranged to be disposed externally at the female's urethra opening to receive urine voided by the female, whereupon the suction draws the urine through the cover into the suction tube. The external catheter is arranged to be connected to a receptacle for collecting the urine received by the external catheter. Various embodiments of the suction tube and the cover are disclosed.
Systems and methods for an evacuator adapter
An adapter for an evacuator for increasing a suction power of the evacuator includes a suction assembly adapted to be coupled with the evacuator. The suction assembly has a housing, an impeller arranged inside the housing and configured to provide a suction, and an inlet conduit to facilitate a flow of fluid to the impeller. The suction assembly also includes an outlet conduit arranged inside the housing and adapted to be coupled to the evacuator. The outlet conduit is in fluid communication with the impeller and facilitates a flow of the fluid from the suction assembly to the evacuator.
Negative pressure therapy unit and method
A negative pressure therapy unit is disclosed that is designed for healing internal wounds under the application of negative pressure. A plurality of tubes sequentially movable relative to one another are used to locate a filler material inside the organ. The tubes cover the filler material to avoid contact with the organ and filler material. A pressure tube passes internally to the plurality of tubes and communicates with the filler material. The filler material is in a compressed state between at least one of the plurality of tubes and the pressure tube. Translation of one of the plurality of tubes selectively exposes the filler material and permits the filler material to expand into the wound. The filler material is interchangeable on the wound and selectively on the pressure tube.
Post-operative surgical site wound treatment and method for device removal
A device and method for treatment of post-operative surgical site wounds. Device includes an elongated hollow shaft that spans from the wound closure to the deep wound area, the internal end abutting a wound dressing and the external end connecting to a device that can provide negative-pressure suction and irrigation. Device providing one or more of irrigation, suction, and/or local antibiotic delivery to deep infections through a closed-wound. The method for removal includes narrowing a removal element relative to the long axis, collapsing the wound dressing; removing the wound dressing through the elongated shaft; and removing the device through a closed wound, avoiding a second removal surgery.
THROMBUS REMOVAL DEVICE
A thrombus removal device (100) comprising a catheter (10), at least one valve (20), and a shaft (30) is provided. The catheter (10) has a proximal end (12) and a distal end (11), and defines a longitudinal axis. The at least one valve (20) is positioned and movable longitudinally inside the catheter (10). The shaft (30) is connected with the proximal end (12) of the catheter (10), and comprises a driving mechanism and a wire (34). Wherein, the wire (34) is connected to the driving mechanism at one end and connected to the at least one valve (20) at an opposite end. The driving mechanism is configured to create a sudden movement of the at least one valve (20) toward the proximal end (12) of the catheter (10). By using the thrombus removal device (100), thrombus can be removed from the body of a subject more efficiently.
POWER-ASSISTED LIPOSUCTION DEVICE
The present invention relates to a power-assisted liposuction device. The power-assisted liposuction device includes: a handpiece; a motor mounted inside the handpiece and connected with a power source to provide driving force; a reverse cam of which one end is connected to the motor; and a cannula connected to the other end of the reverse cam. The reverse cam converts a rotary motion of the motor into a linear reciprocating motion so that the cannula performs a reciprocating motion when the motor is operated.
Evacuation Apparatus and Method
A suction tool is provided for evacuating debris, liquids, aerosols, and the like. The suction tool has a central lumen or bore, and one or more peripheral flow passages that are in communication with the central lumen. A low volume evacuation tool, such as a saliva ejector, can be connected or integrated with the central lumen for evacuating saliva and debris. The peripheral flow passages evacuate aerosols and other airborne particles. The suction tool can be connected with conventional vacuum pumps. The suction tool can have a control port that can be opened or obstructed to control the flow rate through the central lumen and the flow passages.
ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR CONTROLLED AND MEASURED INTERNAL FLUID AFTER SURGERY
A system and apparatus for the collection of serous or serosanguinous fluid from a percutaneous site after surgery. A pump unit with one or more pumps or powered sources provide continuous negative pressure suction to draw fluid from the percutaneous site and pumps the fluid into disposable reservoirs with one-way valves that are easy to handle while maintaining sterility and a seal to prevent the loss of vacuum. Air is continuously removed from the reservoirs. Measurement and analysis of the output is performed automatically. Additionally, through such a peristaltic pump device, controlled collection of measured surgical and/or bodily fluid from a subject patient may be undertaken allowing for more effective and closer analysis, as well.
