BATTERY SYSTEM FOR POWERING AN OVERHEAD DOOR OPENER
A system for operating an overhead door using a battery and a low voltage power supply are disclosed. A battery is connected to a standard power outlet and charges from a power adaptor that converts the power down to a reduced voltage and provides the reduced power to the battery. The battery provides the principal power required to operate the overhead door opener. With the preferred embodiment, there is no need for an additional, higher-rated outlet near the overhead door opener, or a long high-voltage cable in the garage.
SOLAR CASEMENT WINDOW CONTROL DEVICE
A solar-powered window control device having a photovoltaic cell for powering automated window opening and closing. The device can be retrofitted onto any exterior exposure gear-driven mechanism without requiring special skills for installation. A wireless-enabled motorized window control for opening and closing the window is contained within a single enclosure and mounts by engagement with an existing window's operator gear and casement operator and can be controlled with a microcontroller for smarthome integration.
INTEGRATED TONNEAU COVER FOR A VEHICLE
A truck bed cover integrated in a vehicle (e.g., a truck), configured to move through an opening formed between a cab and a truck bed, and along a set of channels on the truck bed. The vehicle includes a motor engaged with the truck bed cover and configured to enable an automated movement of the truck bed cover along the set of channels. The vehicle in one embodiment is an electric truck configured to run off a battery pack stored within the electric truck. The truck bed cover includes a plurality of movable portions, the plurality of movable portions linked together in a flexible format.
Door operator assembly
A combination door operator assembly and door, wherein the door operator assembly includes an operator unit mounted to the door on the pulling side or the pushing side thereof, an arm linkage having a driving arm and a driven arm, a mounting bracket preferably mounted on the frame to which the door is hinged, a rechargeable power storage pack having at least one of a rechargeable battery and one or more capacitors, and a controller, for monitoring a speed and a position of the door, wherein when the door moves faster than a predetermined speed, the motor is used as a generator to charge the rechargeable power storage pack and the speed of the door is reduced.

An automated sliding panel mechanism is disclosed. An automated sliding panel mechanism including a motor is configured to move a sliding window between a closed position and an open position, and includes a power source providing power to the motor, a rack consisting of rack teeth wherein a portion of the surface of the rack teeth are generally perpendicular to a plane, and a gear rotated by the motor and consisting of gear teeth, wherein the gear teeth are shaped to mesh with the rack teeth.

Power Supply for Movable Barrier Opener with Brushless DC Motor
A movable barrier opener system having a brushless DC motor is provided. The movable barrier opener system may have a power supply unit with a drive circuit power module and a storage bank. The storage bank may be chargeable by the drive circuit power module and may be connectable to the drive assembly to provide electrical power to the drive assembly to move the movable barrier. The drive circuit power module may be selectably turned on and off to improve efficiency of power consumption by turning off during periods of lowered demand.
Gate Opening and Closing Assembly
A gate opening and closing assembly includes a mount that is coupled to a vertical member of a gate that extends across an entry way. A drive unit is coupled to the mount and the drive unit is actuated to rotate in a first direction or a second direction. A wheel is rotatably coupled to the drive unit to roll along the ground. The wheel is rotated in an opening direction when the drive unit rotates in the first direction to urge the gate into an open position thereby facilitating a vehicle to drive through the entry way. The wheel is rotated in a closing direction when the drive unit rotates in the second direction to urge the gate into a closed position thereby inhibiting the vehicle from driving through the entry way. A remote control is in wireless electrical communication with the drive unit. The remote control turns the drive unit on and off to open and close the gate.

A movable barrier opener system having a brushless DC motor is provided. The movable barrier opener system may have a power supply unit with a drive circuit power module and a storage bank. The storage bank may be chargeable by the drive circuit power module and may be connectable to the drive assembly to provide electrical power to the drive assembly to move the movable barrier. The drive circuit power module may be selectably turned on and off to improve efficiency of power consumption by turning off during periods of lowered demand.
