SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TUBE MANAGEMENT
Systems, devices, and methods of the present disclosure assist with management of tubes and hoses during surgical procedures. The systems, devices, and methods provide for the proper opening and closing of tubes to facilitate performance of steps in a surgical procedure.
ADIPOSE-DERIVED STEM CELL PRODUCT
The present invention discloses adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs), adipose-derived stem cell-enriched fractions (ADSC-EF), their compositions and kits containing the ADSC's and their enriched fractions, and enzyme blends useful for their isolation, as well as methods of their isolation and use.
Liquid separation from adipose tissue
Extracting or removing at least a portion of liquid phase from a whole sample using a centrifugal force is disclosed. Centrifugal forces are used to apply pressure to a whole sample and drive a liquid phase through a passage region that can be perforated and/or porous and maintain a drier portion within a separation container. The whole sample can be dried, which includes a remaining sample where excess or a selected amount of liquid is removed. Direct access to the separation container or area can then be made to provide for an efficient withdrawal of the drier material from the separation container.
LIPOSUCTION DEVICE AND SYSTEM AND USE THEREOF
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a device for removing adipose tissue with a needle(s), comprising a needle hub that comprises at least one needle that contains between 1-1000 holes around the diameter of the needle barrel which allows passage of adipose tissue and other lipoaspirate, and an adipose tissue collection and purification device comprising a plurality of self contained syringes wherein each of the syringes comprises an inner syringe included within an outer syringe and wherein a filter is attached inside the outer syringe barrel, the filter having a mesh pore size between 30 micro meters and 1000 micro meters, the device being attached to a needle hub. The present invention furhter provides a system for closed adipose tissue harvesting, purficiation, and grafting, comrpising an adipose tissue removal component, a collection and purification component, and a grafting component. Methods of using the devices or system are also disclosed.
ADIPOSE TISSUE SEPARATION DEVICE WITH PRESSURE EQUALIZATION
A tissue separating device and a method of separating pure fat are provided. The tissue separating device includes a canister device including canister body having a sidewall defining a volume. A tissue retrieval port can be arranged on the canister device and arranged in fluid communication with a harvesting device for directing a fatty liposuction aspirate into the canister device. An adjustable height filtration assembly can be arranged within the canister body. A tissue harvesting port can be arranged in the sidewall of the canister body and can be in communication with a collection device to allow the tissue harvesting port to atraumatically receive a filtered pure fat. An air pressure equalizing line can be operatively mounted to the canister device to allow fluid connection between the upper vacuum chamber and the lower vacuum chamber. The filtration assembly can be movably arranged within the canister body.
DEVICE AND KIT FOR PREPARING TISSUE, PARTICULARLY ADIPOSE TISSUE, FOR TRANSPLANTATION FROM LOBULAR FAT EXTRACTED BY LIPOSUCTION
A device for preparing adipose tissue for transplantation from lobular fat extracted, for instance by liposuction, said fat consisting of a fluid component comprising an oily component, a blood component and/or sterile solutions and a solid component comprising cell fragments, cells and one or more cell macroagglomerates of heterogeneous size, comprising at least one washing and separating container (1) having a washing chamber (101) for washing the liposuctioned material, which container (1) has an inlet (102) and an outlet (103) for the liposuctioned material to enter the washing chamber (101) through the inlet (102) and for at least part of said material, particularly the fluid component, to exit said chamber (101) through the outlet (103), said washing chamber (101) including means for forming an emulsion of fluid components, by mechanical stirring.
METHOD FOR PREPARING TISSUE, PARTICULARLY ADIPOSE TISSUE, FOR TRANSPLANTATION FROM LOBULAR FAT EXTRACTED BY LIPOSUCTION
A method of preparing adipose tissue for transplantation, from lobular fat extracted, for instance, by liposuction, said fat consisting of a fluid component comprising an oily component, a blood component and/or sterile solutions and of a solid component comprising cell fragments, cells and one or more cell macroagglomerates of heterogeneous size, characterized in that it includes at least one step of washing the cell aggregates carried out at the same time as a step of separating the fluid component, in emulsion form, from the solid component.
Tissue processing apparatus and method for processing adipose tissue
A portable apparatus useful for collection and processing of human biological material, such as adipose or cancellous bone material, to prepare a concentrated product (e.g., stromal vascular fraction). The apparatus has a container with a containment volume with a tissue retention volume and a filtrate volume separated by a filter and with a pellet well for collecting concentrate product in the form of a pellet phase from centrifuge processing. The pellet well is accessible only from above when the apparatus is in an access orientation. Collected pellet phase material may be removed from the pellet well by direct aspiration, without suspending the material in a suspension liquid within the container. Access ports may be configured for access only from above the container. The apparatus may include a tissue collector disposed in the disuse retention volume to engage and collect collagen or other stringy tissue. A method of processing adipose tissue to concentrate leuko stromal vascular cells includes multi-step processing using a portable container.
