VEHICLE HOOD BUMPER
A hood bumper for a vehicle having a hood including: a housing having a wall, a base, an internal chamber, and an opening to the internal chamber. The wall having an interior surface and an exterior surface. the interior surface defines the internal chamber. The hood bumper further including a biasing mechanism operably connected to the housing and a plunger operably connected to the biasing mechanism and configured to receive an exerted force from the hood. The hood bumper further including a bumper head operably connected to the housing and a support frame operably connecting the bumper head to the housing. The plunger is configured to first move into the bumper head to absorb an impact force to the hood, next the bumper head compresses to further absorb the impact force, and then the support frame collapses to even further absorb the impact force.
Hood pop-up structure
A hood back portion moving mechanism is supported with a hinge on a side of a vehicle body such that a back end portion of a hood provided at a front portion of a vehicle body is able to be opened and closed, and the hood is lifted up by an actuator. A back end portion of a pop-up link is rotatably coupled to an upper hinge included in the hinge, the hood is rotatably coupled to a front end portion of the pop-up link, and the actuator is bridged over the upper hinge and the hood.
Articulating Prop
An articulating prop to prop panels in an open position is disclosed. In one embodiment, the prop includes a protrusion that rests in a groove to lock members of the articulating prop in position. An external force causes the articulating prop members to rotate into a locked position. In another embodiment, an additional latch is disclosed which further locks the articulating prop in a locked position. An external force causes the articulating prop member to rotate out of a locked position. Shapes and interfaces of handles of the articulating prop are disclosed. Openings and pivotal axes of members of the articulating prop are also disclosed herein.
Dual actuated latch mechanism for a vehicle
A vehicle hood latching mechanism is disclosed. The latching mechanism includes a housing securable to the vehicle body, a latch member pivotally connected to the first side of the housing, the latch member includes an external surface defining an abutment surface, a fork bolt adjustably connected to the second side of the housing and movable between a fully latched position, and an actuator assembly pivotally connected to the second side of the housing. The actuator assembly includes a first lever configured to selectively abut against the engagement surface of the fork bolt and a second lever configured to selectively engage the abutment surface of the latch member. The first lever is pivotally connected proximal to a first end of the mounting plate and the second lever is pivotally connected proximal to a second end of the mounting plate.
TRACTOR WITH OPENABLE BONNET
A tractor (1) includes a bonnet (2) and bonnet mover (10) suitable for guiding movement of the bonnet (2) in rotational translation between a closed position and an open position.
Door Assistance System for a Vehicle
The invention relates to a door assistance system (1) for a vehicle (F) for preventing damage to vehicle doors (T1-T4) and/or vehicle opening panels (T5) caused by external objects when vehicle doors (T1-T4) and/or vehicle opening panels (T5) are opened. Said system comprises: a calculation unit (7), which evaluates an environmental data model, detected by sensors, of the surroundings of the vehicle (F), in order to determine a space around the vehicle (F) that is free of external objects (H1, H2, O), and which calculates maximum possible open positions of the various vehicle doors (T1-T4) and/or vehicle opening panels (T5) of the vehicle (F) within the free space that has been determined; and a locking unit (8), which locks a vehicle door (T1-T4) and/or vehicle opening panel (T5) of the vehicle (F) when same is opened to the correspondingly calculated maximum permissible open position of the respective vehicle door (T1-T4) and/or vehicle opening panel (T5) in order to prevent contact with an external object and/or to provide entry or exit assistance.
COVER PART WITH INTEGRATED IMPACT BUFFER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
An integrally formed cover part for a vehicle comprises a basic component and a soft component. The basic component is at least sectionally flat and made of a thermoplastic material. The soft component is firmly connected to the basic component and made of a thermoplastic elastomer. The basic component comprises a front side and a back side. The soft component forms at least one buffer that is an impact buffer, which is configured as a double buffer including a front buffer arranged on the front side and a rear buffer arranged on the back side. The basic component has an elevated support profile extending on the back side. The soft component forms a support surface on the front side, which is part of the front buffer. The soft component extends along the support profile towards the back side. The soft component forms a contact surface on the back side, which is part of the rear buffer.
LATERAL TAILGATE SUPPORT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A tailgate support is arranged in a sealing channel between an inner panel of the lid bodyshell and a lateral covering of the rear lights.
Motor vehicle door lock
A motor vehicle bonnet lock includes a locking mechanism which substantially consists of a rotary latch and a pawl. The locking mechanism interacts with a striker element on a bonnet. The lock further has an unlocking/opening mechanism for the bonnet, which mechanism is equipped with a release element provided in the interior of a motor vehicle body. It is required to operate the release element preferably twice to open the bonnet. The locking mechanism is transferred to a pre-latched position after the release element has been operated at least once, with the striker element still being trapped. The bonnet is opened from said pre-latched position by a movement in its longitudinal direction.
Hinge System of a Hood of a Vehicle
Please substitute the new Abstract submitted herewith for the original Abstract: A hinge system of a hood of a vehicle has a hinge which is arranged between the hood and a mating element of the vehicle. The hinge is designed both for opening the hood and for raising the hood when the latter is in the closed state, and includes a lifting-piston actuator for initiating a raising movement of the hood. The lifting-piston actuator has a piston element which can be connected to the hinge and/or the hood in a form-fitting manner in order to limit freedom of movement of the hood.
